Ah, I am so glad your mom loved Animal Kingdom! I love it there, too! It really is such a beautifully themed park.
I cracked up when I read your description of your mom at ITTBAB -- that's exactly how Chelsea and Connor were! LOL!
I was glad that my mum loved AK. Going with DBFF is great, but it is her least favourite park so she doesn't like to spend much time there so ergo, neither do I! I think it was the first time I ever spent an entire morning
and afternoon there!
I love AK too, there is something peaceful about it even when it's packed
I laughed at your mom squealing on ITTBAB....we went with friends one year and when the "bee sting" came, he screamed like a little girl and I of course laughed and he said "It's not funny, I'm allergic" I was done I was rolling on the floor....great memories
That's hilarious!

I suppose I would probably be the same though if I were allergic! It's hilarious how the 3D and 4D effects mess with your brain! Even though you know it's not really there, it's there! Watching my mum grab for the butterflies was hysterical!
It is no secret that I love Animal Kingdom. I love everything your mom loves about it and more, only I couldn't care less about the smoking sections. I guess I have never paid any attention to where they are, because I don't recall ever being bothered by smoke or smokers as I have been walking around.
I would love to be in Animal Kingdom on an Earth Day when they are having some festivities. I have spoken harshly with myself about why we didn't think ahead and go on the tenth anniversary, because they had awesome things going on then. Maybe we can be there for the 20th or 25th.
Your experience in ITTBAB is a perfect example of why I love Disney World. You were two people who love each other having fun together, being silly together, laughing together... Disney World seems to be able to create opportunities for those moments as well as any place I know. I'm glad you guys had a fun day together.
Oh Memom that is so sweet! You always know just what to say! And you always say it incredibly well! I just called my mum to read her your comment and she thought it was very nice as well!
You know, the smoking sections at all the parks are really in out of the way places which is nice for those of us who are non-smokers! I would just get her there and then go wander around. however, I did notice some new things in those areas thanks to being there with a smoker!
You may not have to wait until the 20th or 25th anniversary! I bet they will probably do something special for their 15th! That's less than 3 years away!
YAY for loving the AK! I'm so glad you and your mom had such a great day there!! I have to tell you I always scoot a little closer to the edge of my seat during certain parts of It's Tough to be a Bug...that just creeps me out sometimes LOL!
You're right! I'm glad that I know which parts of the show to be prepared for! But I do love to see newbie reactions!
Your Mom looks like she is having a really good time! That is so awesome.
She really was! It was great to see her have such a good time in a place that makes me so happy! It was nice to be able to share it with her again!
All caught up! Looks like a great couple of days!

I agree, MK is SO much more magical at night. And twilight, especially, is my favorite time at WDW!
Your tradition of first ride on POC has me thinking that I have no traditions (that I'm aware of). I'm going to have to work on that!
Your Wishes pics are awesome!
So glad you had a fun day at Animal Kingdom!! Your description of the woman telling your mum about Everest is hysterical. I was at the hair salon the other day and people were talking about Disney and had NO earthly idea what they were talking about. But I was tired and cranky and just let them go on and on with their nonsense.
Can't wait to see what is next. You both look like you're having a great time!!
Traditions can only begin when you start them C!

Mine are all pretty simple! Usually it's POtC first and then Chef Mickey's for dinner for first night...but this trip Chef Mickey's had to wait until the second night! You also have to remember to take a picture with your 3D glasses on!
You know, I think I'm giving up on giving "those people" advice. Half of the time they don't believe you anyway and just tell you that
you are wrong. They heard about it from so-and-so, and so-and-so ought to know! So-and-so went to
Disneyland 20 years ago!

My mum and I heard a girl this exact day at AK saying to her friend (and I quote!): "You know, I finally figured it out! Eeyore is a
BEAR!!!, not a llama!"

Oh some people....hello?! "A donkey named Eeyore" is right in the song!
