Mother and Daughter Share Magical Moments! April 21-30, 2010!~update June 28~

First, I was a little behind and am :rotfl: at the woman who was so proud that she figured out Eeyore was a bear and not a llama. :lmao: Seriously. Perhaps these people should not be allowed in the parks. ;)

Love your new t-shirt. I agree, there's something about the shops in the Contemporary that is so inviting. Too cute that you changed right into your new shirt!

Looks like you had a great time with the characters. I had breakfast there with Jen and Paula but I have to say I don't remember any napkin twirling. Perhaps it was too early in the morning. :confused3

Looking forward to more! popcorn::

I really would like to try CM for breakfast sometime! I have to convince myself to do it twice in one trip! Maybe if the ICP call me I'll have a whole year to do it!

Hey!! I just found your Tr. How crowded were the dates you picked?

Can't wait to read more! :goodvibes

Hi!:yay: Thanks for coming over! The dates we went for weren't too bad. Definately not September or early December but not horrible. It really depended on which park we went to on which day, and at which time! It didn't help that the international cheer and dance competition was going on while we were there...if I had known that I may have changed the dates. But they weren't so bad really!:goodvibes

Sorry again for another delay....but I did warn you in the very first post! I am a terrible trip reporter....especially since right now I am taking on the job of parenting a 15 year-old boy full-time! My auntie has gone to Florida ( not to Disney - GASP!), so it's just me and my Dcousin Kyle hanging out for the next couple of weeks! It's been sorta challenging really...but enough with the small talk and on to the fun!

Mum and I left The Contemporary by Monorail. I was so excited, I love the monorail - and I get to practice my Spanish! However, mum wasn't as thrilled and said, "we did this at the airport right?" So I decided we would only take the monorial so far as the transportation and ticket centre, and then take the ferry boat over. Magic Kingdom was only open for another couple of hours at this point so I knew it wouldn't be busy. I think there were about 3 other people on the boat with us! It was right around sunset and the trip was beautiful

Once we got to the Magic Kingdom, mum of course wanted to head straight for her smoking area near the Plaza Ice Cream Parlour so I took that time to take some photos of the castle! It was that twilight time that we all know and love!

I love the angles from the rose garden, so that's where I headed!

And I saw a nice lonely photopass photographer waiting for someone to need a photo, so I asked him for a couple. As it turns out, the photopass one wasn't the best (yuck!), but here's the one he took with mine!

After mum was finished with her addiction, we headed into Fantasyland since mum hadn't done any of those rides yet. Though...I don't seem to have any photographic evidence! We did Winnie The Pooh, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Small World and mum's new favourite, Mickey's Philharmagic! I don't know what it is with my mother and 3D shows but she gets such a kick out of them and she completely loses touch with reality! It's fabulous!:rotfl2: She was grabbing for Ariel's jewels and Donald's feathers and screamed when the corks pop in the Be Our Guest scene! I loved watching it with her! And she thought it was absolutely hysterical with Donald stuck and falling into the wall at the end!:lmao: it was great!

After Fantasyland we were both pretty tuckered out though, so we decided to head back to CBR for the night! It was time for our beauty sleep before we saw a new day! :)

What beautiful pictures you took of the Castle. I especially love the ones with the roses. :lovestruc

My mom was the same way in Philharmagic! She loved it, she was grabbing for things and squealing. It was cute to watch her. :goodvibes

Good luck with Kyle! :goodvibes

Beautiful pictures of the castle from the rose garden! I can almost smell them! :goodvibes

Thanks Jackie! My auntie cme home today and Kyle finished his last school exam so we're getting back to normal now! I got to sleep in until 8:30am today!

Thanks LL! Moms are cute aren't they?;) :)

Hi everyone! So I know I have likely just fallen off of everyone's radar, but I do have another update! :) Things have just been so busy that Dis-ing has had to take a backseat! Parenting a teenager is tough stuff! Especially at exam time...

So! The next morning, mum and I got up and ate breakfast together at Old Port Royale. Mum had decided that she wanted to hang out at the hotel and swim and lay in the lovely hammocks! So after breakfast I decided to head out to Epcot to see the Flower and Garden Festival displays! This is one of the festivals I had never been to before so I was very excited!

Now, I must say that I am not much of a gardener - I have a black thumb! But I was blown away by the talent and beauty! It was breathtaking! Of course, World Showcase wasn't open yet so I did a couple of Future World attractions first - starting with a visit to Figment and Dr. Nigel Channing!

After that I headed here:

I saw Nemo and Friends and listened to some children talk with Crush! I really do love that! It's so cute! After that, World Showcase was just about to open up and I was itching to wander around the world! But before I could start, I had to see another garden display! American Gothic - Disney Style!

Disney2010078.jpg

And some friends from Fantasia:

Disney2010080.jpg

The first country I visited was a very familiar one - Canada! My home and native land! I went to hear Martin Short give us a tour of his Canada, and then went to see the Bambi topiaries!

Disney2010081.jpg

From there it was on to merry ol' England! I walked through the shops, wanting to find these Mary Poppins memorabilia...and lo and behold!

Disney2010083.jpg

Disney2010082.jpg

I finally looked up my grandma's maiden name in the little spot that does the family crests and such. It was cool to see that it was one of the original English names! Mine wasn't...it's French :) But I was distracted by a duel taking place outside!

Disney2010084.jpg

After making sure Peter would be okay, I went to take a stroll through the tea garden! I had never actually tea growing before!

Disney2010085.jpg

From there I headed for the bridge to France. There were princesses everywhere!
