Hello everyone! Hope everyone is having a lovely Wednesday! I spent the afternoon in America today doing my grocery shopping and having a DELICIOUS lunch at Olive Garden! I'm telling ya, whoever invented those breadsticks is definately getting into Heaven!

So, when I left you all last, Mum and I were headed to the Magic Kingdom to get the trip started off right! I didn't take too many pictures during the afternoon, I was too busy soaking everything in again! And trying to find the smoking areas for my mother But I do have a tradition that must be completed at the beginning of each trip, which is that Pirates of The Caribbean must be the first ride we go on! And so that was what we did! My mum loved it! She liked seeing Capt. Jack and all the new updates. She just kept saying "it's sooo much more...elaborate and good!" But after PoTC she wanted nothing more to do with Adventureland! All she wanted was a cigarette and a meal! We headed back to Main St. and stopped here:

Mum had a hot dog combo, while I split her fries to go along with my delicious corn dog nuggets! (MeMom, I thought of you and your corn dog nugget with a french fry hat! I tried to explain to my mum but she just look at me as though I had a third eye!)

While my mther was filling her nicotine quota I looked around MainStreet! The Dapper Dans were out to preform so I watched them for a few minutes until she was done. They are sooo talented!

Once mum's appetite and addiction were satisfied, we headed over to Liberty Square! First stop - Haunted Mansion! My Favourite! Madame Leota was on the lookout:

There was this man in line who must have snapped about 74723742837 pictures of Leota's tomb! My mum and I were cracking up!

We went over to take a look at the Liberty Belle and Harper's Mill. Now, I should explain a little bit. My mum and I have a soft spot for Harper's Mill. My late step-dad's middle name was Harper, so when we were there in 1996 my mother got a huge kick out of it and we took all kinds of pictures! Since then, I take a different kind of picture of it every trip. My Step-dad passed away about 2.5 years ago so it brought back some memories for my mum. A nice man saw me taking pictures and offered to take one of my mum and I together. I know my mother will cherish it, and I know my step-dad would have been happy her and I would see it together again. Here's the photo:

By this time, my mum started complaining that she was hot and tired and her feet hurt an her back hurt and she's too old to go running around all day like me and had I gotten the text saying our room was ready yet? I hadn't. But she was whiny and it was after 3pm which was the guaranteed check in time, so we traipsed back out of the Magic Kingdom and over to CBR. What happened when we got there? I wanted to go to Syracuse on Sunday but my DS has to work and I am his taxi.

We will probably go downtown and look at the tulips.

I'm at 100 days til we go....as of today!!!

It's so true! Heaven knows I drove my mum crazy, and so I took her back to the hotel for a swim and a nap...just like a toddler!

Sorry Lana...for whatever reason, your post just came up as being new! I didn't know you had replied! No, there weren't really a ton of good deals, but there's just so much you can't get here! And of course it's all my favourite stuff! I always buy Cherry Coke, Yoplait whipped dessert yogurts (chocolate is awesome!), brown sugar cinnamon poptarts, cinnabon toaster struedals, Target aged cheddar macaroni and cheese, 100 cal. snack packs and chocolate goldfish and teddy grams! Other than that I just see if there is anything new kickin' around. Do you have stuff you always buy? I think I'm due for an overnight trip again though soon...turns out with this diet I might need some new clothes!

Did you go look at the tulips? They sound nice! Hope you had a nice mother's day!

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend and a happy mother's day! I spent it at work and with my mum and aunties! Work was super super super busy! But, that's what happens when you sell jewelry around the holidays! How about an update to end the weekend?

So, when I left off last time, my whiny mother and I were headed back to CBR. By the time we go on a bus it was going on 4pm and mum was complaining that she had to change her clothes, she felt itchy. But she got talking to a younger couple on the bus who had arrived the night before. They liked the resort but weren't very impressed with the check-in process. See, like us, they had arrived before their room was ready and were told they would recieve a text when their room was ready also. They didn't get a text until 9:27pm that night! Did I mention they had two young children? She told us that as soon as we got off the bus, we should use the little courtesy phone to call the front desk and just ask. Sure enough, our room was ready! They told my mum the room number and told her they would have someone bring our carry-on bags (which we had stored with Bell Services) by in 10 minutes.

Our room was in the Barbados and in a great spot for us! It was very close to a designated smoking spot for mum. It was also close to the quiet pool and about a 2 minute walk up to CentreTown (Old Port Royale) and the main pool! It was on the ground floor too which was a plus! Not only that, but we got a Finding Nemo room! Mum was super-excited since she loves Dory (played by her favourite - Ellen Degeneres!), and she's actually seen that movie! Here are some pictures:

So, remember how they said the bags would be by in about 10 minutes? Well, 40 minutes later we still hadn't recieved them My mum was starting to get really irritated and I just wanted to get going again! Mum of course was starting to worry. "I hope this isn't a preview of this motel!" (yes, she called it our "motel"), "Can we change motels if we don't like it?" "What if they lost our bags and aren't telling us!?" I picked up the phone and called Bell Services. There was no answer....it just kept sending me to Resort Reservations. Finally I had it and called the front desk! The request for our bags had never been entered in the system but they said they would have someone send them right away. I politely said I would just come and get them myself to make sure they arrived. I wasn't too impressed.

Thankfully we were still pretty close to Customs House and I just walked up. Of course when I got there, there was only one employee. This poor girl was on the phone and had about 3 other guests giving her the evil eye! She apologized profusely to me and her other guests saying that 2 people hadn't shown up from their breaks and had been due back about a half hour ago! She was very very sweet and offered us all pizza vouchers for our troubles. I cannot for the life of me remember her name now but I went right inside and made sure to compliment her!

Once we had all of our things in place (our luggage had come while I was out) and had changed our clothes, we decided to head up to Old Port Royale and have some dinner.
We used the pizza voucher! Pizza was pretty good too!We got a large cheese! It was pretty busy in the food court!

Mom was definately done for the day, but I had some more Magic to soak up at the Magic Kingdom! See ya there!

What a pain with the luggage! I am glad to hear Disney tried to make it right with the pizza though!

We were in Barbados in October, too! I really liked the location!

We decided to wait til next weekend to see the tulips.
It was cooler weather here today and we were happy to have a quiet relaxing day instead. And it was complete with some Mickey waffles!

I love Yoplait whipped Key lime pie!

Funny you get Cherry Coke.... I get Cherry Pepsi.

I usually come home with Hawiian Punch & Chex Mix along with "many" other things.

I was wondering which diet plan you are doing?
I need to get onto a plan and I'm confused which one to do.

The Nemo room has a really cute bedspread!
I'm glad you were happy with the location of your room and finally got your bags.

Ugh! I am not impressed with Disney's text messaging when your room is ready. They never texted Jen & I at SSR back in January and then I got the run around trying to reach the resort so I could find out our room number. Oy!

Free pizza is always good, taste better.
