Me 45, third wonder cruise
DD 26, first Wonder cruise

I had left a wakeup call for 7 am the night before but I woke up around 5:30am. I tried to go back to sleep but only did so briefly. Soon, I was lying in bed watching slivers of light move across the walls and I knew we must be approaching port. On my first Wonder cruise, DH and I were in the stateroom next to this one, and we slept with the curtains open. I remember the bright lights of Port shining right into our cabin, so this time I had the curtains shut:D
I got up soon after I heard the sounds of the hold below up being opened and got dressed. It was still dark outside and when I stepped onto the veranda I saw it was foggy and drizzling. I watched the work going on below. Luggage coming off, trash coming off, and food and supplies coming onboard. At 7 I woke DD up, and as soon as she was ready to go, we grabbed our bags, said goodbye to our room, and headed out.
We headed up to BBB, and it was packed. Since it was raining outside, everybody and their day bags were inside:eek:
DD and I decided we would rather eat outside with the rain than inside with all the noise and crowds. We found a table under an awning, and dropped off our bags. After filling our plates, we ate quickly and headed for deck 3.
I was amazed at the line that went from the atrium door to the computer area by the Promenade Lounge. I assumed it was because this was the latest I had ever left the ship. I guess the extra security precautions were the real reason. Luckly I had our IDs close at hand and we were ready as soon as we got to the front. CM's were standing around trying to keep the kids entertained. I was glad the weather was gloomy as we got off, I think if it had been sunny and warm it would have made it harder to leave!
Once past the ID stop, we were soon down to the luggage area and had a porter get our bags. On the way past the Immigration desk, she handed him our form and he got snotty with her. He kept saying, how many in the party?? And she kept saying 2. We said two. I mean, come on! He would look at her and go which two. Only 2? How many in your party. And he wasn't trying to be cute. Just an a**. She rolled her eyes once we were out side. This guy was obviously suffering from Barney Fife syndrome:rolleyes:
We loaded the car, gave the porter a nice big tip and drove through the rain back to WDW. I had a studio room booked on points at VWL. I checked in, no room yet, so we left our luggage and took the boat to MK, then the monorail to Epcot. I asked to sit up front with the pilot, as DD had never done this. We enjoyed the view, and the chat with the pilot. Although the rain never let up and we had a few downpours soak us, we made a day of it touring Epcot, eating lunch at Mexico. We had a nice table next to the boat ride. Those Mango margaritas are so good. I also enjoyed the Chicken Nachos. They are too much for one person to eat!
We left around 3 and took the monorail back to MK. We took the boat to WL and our room was ready, so we went and changed into dry and warmer clothes, and headed back to the MK. We spent the rest of the eveing there, watching the fireworks at 7pm and heading back to the room for a early bedtime since we would be getting up early again in the morning. We agreed that we rather have good weather on the cruise, than good weather at the parks. We were sad our trip was coming to an end, but knew we had 5 hours in the morning before we had to get to MCO for our 3pm flight home:D

The trip was wonderful, we had no problems, the CM's were all kind and worked very hard.
The only bad part was getting off the ship. I hope they can make it clear to people to have all documents in hand, if this is to become permanent.
Our stateroom (6626) was directly across the hall from the luggage storage area. It was a bit noisy till 11:30pm the last night as they gathered bags, but was really quiet after that. The location is great, very close to the stairs/ elevators and not too much foot traffic going past the room. I love this location and will always try to get a room aft and starboard.
Our only regrets were we didn't make it to Dueling pianos or 80'
s night. There is so much to do, but the good thing about that is you never lack for want of something to do. I brought a paperback to read, and never opened it
:D
Thanks for reading my trip report! Happy Cruising!

WONDERful trip report! Thank you!

Fun reports...its so neat to hear how other people spent the same cruise and wonder if you were that person we chatted to in line for this or that, lol.

Thanks for sharing. Hopefully, if we ever are on the same cruise in the future we'll get a chance to say hello. :D

Thank you for sharing your report!! I love reading cruise trip reports. I have well over a year before we go, and I check here a lot!! I like to read everyone's experience, it gets me excited about our cruise. I also pick up on the little things that you don't think to ask about. I'm keeping notes!!! haha;)

I'm so glad you and your daughter had such a good time!!
