What would you recommend for a romantic, quite restaurant (that isn't too pricey) in Downtown Disney, the parks, or hotels? thank you!

Romantic and quiet? How about Artist Point at WL? Especially if you go later in the evening.

Artist Point is our choice too, but the OP asked for a place that isn't too pricey. Being a signature, AP may not be quite what is wanted. I'm thinking The Wave might fit the bill in this case.

Are you looking for a full meal? If not, we LOVED Tutto Gusto at Epcot. We went during the day and it was quiet. The darker room with ambient lighting was relaxing, and our waiter was very attentive. For us sipping our way through two wine flights and noshing on the super tasty spare ribs and ravioli was a nice romantic break (while my mother was off elsewhere in the park taking our toddler for ice cream!!) Since it wasn't super busy at lunch time there was no rush and we were totally able to take out time and just chill.

I will say the portions are tiny..so it *can* be pricey if you are looking for more than a snack.

San Angel is pretty romantic with the dim lighting, the water & the feel of being in a Mexican market place. It was so romantic actually that my friend & I began to feel a bit awkward since we were not there on a date but felt like it was definitely the place for one. :rolleyes1

We went for lunch to save a bit of $$ but compared to other romantic options, this one is pretty affordable IMO. We both got the steak & found it to be cooked as specified & well seasoned.

Romantic and quiet are hard to find anywhere at WDW.

At the Disney restaurants there are swarms of kids--often acting out.

At the Swan/Dolphin, there are swarms of conventioneers--often acting out.

That said, we find Artist Point, Citricos, and Yachtsman to be the most "quiet" spots of the Disney spots.

And Blue zoo and Shula's in the Swan/Dolphin.

BUt on any given night, all bets are off for a truly quiet or romantic dinner at WDW.

A few are suggesting San Angel for a romantic dinner. I'd agree with them except for one thing, the tables are crammed into a very tight space almost forcing you to have a conversation with those sitting around you.

I'll second Chefs de France if you are looking for something not too pricy. If you are willing to splurge I would recommend California Grill. My wife and I ate there for the first time on our last trip and while it won't be a place we go every time we are at WDW it was a great experience and worth the price.
