I dont know if its considered a character, but I think it is...We met the Mayor of Main Street our last trip. I have never seen this guy! Also met the two animals from Pinocchio...Is it Basil and someone else??:sad2:

I've never met a rare "classic" character. But I have seen a few modern characters that aren't popular. The least popular was some female character from Chicken Little. Nobody wanted to meet her. Nobody even knew who she was. It was sad. My wife (who is pretty darn anti-Disney and finds the whole notion of characters to be ridiculous) felt sorry for her and did the whole meet/greet/photograph out of pity. I think it's the only time my wife has got a photo with a character.

I met Quasimodo once upon a time, although when I met him he wasn't rare.

Friar Tuck, I think.

I also met the White Rabbit in the early hours of the morning in Fantasyland... haven't seen him since

Prince Phillip after the Let's Have a Ball show last year. They did an autograph session that day b/c the crane was there and messed up the show times.

I dont know if he's rare but I've met Kermit the Frog.

Wow Kermit and Jiminy! Id love both of those...Also the white rabbit. Is the Johnny Depp look alike still there??

well, i haven't been to wdw world much, 2x i think, and the rest was disney cruises but on the cruise i met goofy's son, i think, i totally do not remember his name or if it is goofy's son, its someone related to goofy i think his names max? idk.

and ive met stich, but i dont think stich is too 'rare' in the parks.

i saw stanley from the disney channel show last time in october '06.

Kermit, Miss Piggy and Corella DeVille (sp?). Don't know how rare she is, tho. We did meet Esmerelda and Hercules, also.

rare is a relative term. disney circulates characters so characters that are common today may have rare before and vice-versa. for example, daisy used to be extremely rare. not so much today.

white rabbit isn't that common for meet & greets, but he can and does show up. Jiminy is usually at conservation station. Kermit and Piggy used to regularly do meet & greets but stopped a few years ago.

the female from Chicken Little is Abbey Mallard. and the fox and cat from pinocchio are Foulfellow and Gideon, although they're honestly not rare (Stromboli would be the rare one in the pinocchio group).

keeping it in perspective, for me, it would be seeing Esmeralda in May this year. I've also only seen Tarzan, Frollo, Jafar and Maleficent during MNSSH (Jafar does make rare appearances currently though). I've only seen Jane once outside of MNSSHH. I've also only seen Mr. Penguin once.

I have pictures of me on the beach at the Poly when I was a kid with Peter Pan and Captain Hook. They used to waterski up to the resorts and then goof around with the kids. I don't think I've ever seen them on my trips since.

Maleficent is my favorite Disney villain and for years we've only seen her in a parade venue. Couple years ago we spotted her in the archway to Cinderella's Castle. Let's just say don't ask her why she is at Cinderella's Castle and not Sleeping Beauty's in Disneyland!:lmao:

We still have never ever seen Daisy!

I dont know if he's rare but I've met Kermit the Frog.
I have met Kermit and Miss Piggy too. They used to stamp, not sign.

Jiminy Cricket... been to Disney 5 times, and have only seen him once

I have ben waaaaaaay more than that and I've never seen him. :sad1:

Kermit, Miss Piggy and Corella DeVille (sp?). Don't know how rare she is, tho. We did meet Esmerelda and Hercules, also.

Me too. Cruella is out all the time in DL.

I would have to go through DD's sutograph book, but some off the top of my head are, Pinocchio, the tweedles, Rabbit from WTP & green army men

Within the past couple of years, the rarest ones I've seen are probably Scrooge McDuck, Little John, The Prince from "Beauty and the Beast" and some of the characters from the Pirate and Princess Party.

As we were leaving the meet and greet with the princesses in the Judge's tent in Mickey's toon town in the back hallway they let you out into to go back to the store we saw a host of characters but the ones I had never seen before were the Penguins from Mary Poppins. IN the Judge's tent store we saw the Country Bears Jamboree bears.

I would say the rarest character we've seen would be the Walrus from Alice in Wonderland during MNSSHP last year.

We've also gotten photos with White Rabbit, Queen of Hearts, Mr. Penguin from Mary Poppins, Miss Piggy, Friar Tuck, Little John, Geppetto and Jafar.

My DDs (8 and 6) love collecting autographs/photos when we're at Disney; so, if there is a character out, we are probably in the line.
