Most Overrated things people rave about at WDW

3) Fantasmic. Soooo much better at Disneyland...
2) Space Mountain. Same as above.
1) Illuminations... I love Epcot, but I'm not a fan of this show... I guess I just don't 'get' it.

Mine in no particular order:
Deluxe resorts - so not worth the $$
CL - see above description
Desert parties - see above description
Dole Whips - just okay
Monorail - yet dissers keep posting it as a great reason to stay at GF or POLY

I so wanted to love it! I am a beer junkie. I love grapefruit. It tasted like soap to me. I choked down the HUGE one I bought...took me quite a while. Won't spend my money on it anymore (more for you!!!) :)
Soap! That's funny, I could see why you thought that. But I love it! :)

The Food. Very average--across the board and at all four parks.

Ferrytale Wishes, Wishes Dessert Party and probably any other of those premium (upcharge) dessert experiences.

Club level at the Contemporary. Theme park views were very nice but you can't hear the music from Wishes and/or Celebrate the magic (or at least I couldn't) and the snacks weren't that great. I like Club level at the GF better.

-School bread.

I don't know quite what I was expecting, but I thought it was just "meh".

-Character meet and greets

We have some planned on our upcoming trip for my four year old, but the introvert in me hates them . I really don't see the appeal for adults. :confused3

I thought of another one.

The No Way Jose at Beaches and Cream

Seriously folks, it is Edy's vanilla ice cream with off the shelf hot fudge topping and melted peanut butter. Oh, and some chips and whipped cream. Don't you know you can make this at home anytime you want, and it won't be a soupy, melty mess?

In random order:
The buffets: I loathe buffets in particular, but most of my extended family LOVES them, so when they go, I go. People mixing up spoons, touching the food, and it's not all that good anyway, and we always seem to be near the table with the runaway kids. And squeezing to see a character that you now have to photoshop all the strangers out of. Worse, now there are buffets were you can only see certain characters.

Disney all-inclusive transportation: even when we stayed on-site we ditched it soon after our first trip. And now with the monorail breaking down and squishing more people on the buses and boats, nope, not magical.

Castle shows: over and over and over, same show, and it stops people on the sidewalk or they run! Yes, they're changing it finally but it's been forever.

Soarin': it makes perfect sense for DL as it's all California and locals will know it all. At WDW, a film of California? I'll be glad when they change the film, hopefully it won't be dirty in 3 months and stay that way for 8+ years.

Huge investments clearing out everything : I hate that there is Frozen everywhere in 3 of 4 parks, and I LOVE the movie. Pick one and leave them there. Same w Star Wars- if they're going to be eating 1/3 of HS, stay there and don't take over Mouse Gears and the Emporium. Toy Story is eating another 1/3 and they're in MK. Now rumours have GOTG taking over ToT. Pandora land? Nope. Not good. Yes new things are great, but not if they make everything the same.

Starbucks: don't understand the hype outside the parks, certainly don't get the giant lines inside.

Dole Whips. I waited in line and shelled out the high cost for a dessert that was pretty lackluster. I was expecting something creamier, but it was just like pineapple ice to me.

BOG
TOT
Star Wars
Table service restaurants and deluxe resorts; so overpriced; maybe if I could easily afford the prices I'd think differently ... or maybe not
rope drop; I'm on vacation damn it

What is grapefruit beer? How have I missed that?

Dole Whip(I thought you could get it swirled with vanilla ice cream...nope). Just pineapple is way too sweet.

Mission Space(no spin). What a waste of time. Actually this whole attraction is a waste.

Turkey Legs or whatever mystery meat it is. Disgusting.

Sunshine(or whatever it's called) Food Court - Just because it has different food choices doesn't mean its good. It's okay only due to complete lack of food choices in FW.

FP+/MM - A billion or more for this crap especially in light of what this money could have brought in regards to new attraction?
