Okay, can I confess that in my several trips to Disney...I had never been in the shops on this side of the street?

Confessions are quite therapeutic aren't they? I did mine BEFORE my trip.

I shouldn’t have been irritated because as it turned out, she was just in time to hear this announcement:


“Tonight’s showing of Wishes…is temporarily………delayed.”

Women's intuition?

One nice thing about this particular visit to Space Mountain is that we didn’t have to convince James to ride, or attempt reverse-psychology or anything like that, since he had finally summoned the courage to ride it (and loved it) a couple of days before.

PHew! Otherwise, you'd have ended up with not only a Yeti, but maybe an alien mask too.

Don’t you think it would be better if they put the cameras at a more exciting point of the ride? The ride hasn’t even really begun at the point where the picture is taken now.

Judy looks like she knew so she could at least fake it.

Even though I look a little hunched over. (But you know what that means -- I get to use my favorite smiley!)

Okay, confession time again…I’m pretty sure that this was my first-ever ride on the People Mover, or Tomorrowland Transit Authority, or whatever name it’s going by today. If I was ever on it before, it must have been looong ago, and I don’t remember it.

More therapy. Almost as cathartic as the TTA itself.

(I can literally hear all of you out there, smacking your foreheads.)

But wait, this is my luck we’re talking about here.

(No, wait, light travels faster than sound…let me try that again.) We 1) saw a flash of light and 2) heard a "boom" from fireworks in the park. (That’s better. Or, at least more accurate.)

(The year before, James had advised that we’d be better off watching the 4th of July fireworks (on the 3rd of July actually) from the beach at the Polynesian.

Yes it goes with the job, we all have to stay if someone doesn[t show up to relieve us or if there is an emergency !!Luckily it doesn't happen often , holidays can be trickey with everyone wanting OFF!!!

Fortunately you get satisfaction from other areas of the job though....and free trips to WDW every now and then.

that stinks you guys missed the fireworks...you would have thought they would have made an annoucnment like they are on and will start in 3 minutes.

If they had said that they would "start in approximately 15 minutes" or something like that, something other than the same message that had been announced for over an hour, I might have believed that they would still hold them.

you know if your phone was normal, you could have road the people movers with us on the MK day, that is where we were waiting for you while having our little texting mission back and forth.

Fair enough! That texting delay was not helping things that morning.

Morning Glen !!! Just enjoying a sunny day and some peace and quiet !!! Both have been rare !!!

Glad it's sunny in western NY. It's supposed to be beautiful all week here.

Two big shockers there, well actually three...

I can't believe you never rode People Mover or visited the Emporium and that you missed Wishes (we tried to avoid wishes and still caught a good portion of it)

I know, they're bombshells in the DIS trip reporting world.

Exactly -- Wishes is hard to miss, even if you tried...but somehow we managed to despite trying to see it.

Well there is always next trip, and despite that sad ending you had a pretty amazing day

It was a really great day, so I can't complain. And now we have some goals for the next trip.

Well, I'm sorry you guys missed Wishes...by that much. But at least you got some new experiences most people miss, such as seeing the Main Street Emporium.

Either Disney needs to move those ride cameras, or your family really hates Space Mountain.

I'm taking this as a challenge to come up with some creative poses for next time. I'm thinking "conga line".

Calm down, take a deep breath. As I mentioned to Mary Ellen a couple fo quotes above, I'll have a couple of chapters on our last day activities, and then some wrap-up stuff. So, this TR is not quite done yet. Whew! Feel better?

There was. But I don't recall hairy feet being part of it. Only the fact that for as much talk as there is on here about Dole Whips, a LOT of people had never had one. And a few had even missed the TTA!

Finally had a minute to get caught up! I actually read through your latest update at a normal pace since I knew I didn't have to worry about the Judy-do contest! Really great update as usual. Sorry about the rain and the Wishes tease!!!

Sounds like we put the same priority on some rides since my latest trip was the first time on the TTA also. I was really expecting you to be more worried about how much Judy might be spending in the Emporium the longer she was in there........

Oh, and I agree with the count of 3, so congrats to Jen!!!

Hey, when I finally got a chance to check in I had to brush the cobwebs away, so I'm just happy somebody even KNOWS I'm pushing it!!!

You might have to use a third order differential equation soon to calculate how long it has been since I updated!!!

Well seeing as Glen hadn't heard of my elevator nightmare !! The last family trip Judy and the kids were at the poola nd I went to the room to get something !!As the door closed it madean onimous sound moved a little then STOPPED !!!I pressed the UP button, the down button the open door butten and NADDA!! I thing pressed very hard , very long and very often the PANIC button !!! Called Judy on my cell and screamed HELP . Her comment "MOM they are coming , was it you pressing that button soooooo much" Yea Baby that was ME!!!She then asked if anyone else was in the elevator !!"NO I have it all to myself "Apparently a Paniced Mom thought her son was on it !! I heard the CM's coming and somehoe they got it to go up and got the door opened so I could get out and believe me I did !!!
Phil had his version of it (He wasn't there buttttt) I was in the elevator wrapped in just a bath towel and as they got the door open 30 Chinese Popparazzi took pix !!!
So Glen if you want pix you have to find those Chinese Guys !!!!
