Most Expensive / Moist Exhausting Continued - Final thoughts and wrap-up

Well seeing as Glen hadn't heard of my elevator nightmare !! The last family trip Judy and the kids were at the poola nd I went to the room to get something !!As the door closed it madean onimous sound moved a little then STOPPED !!!:scared1:I pressed the UP button, the down button the open door butten and NADDA!! I thing pressed very hard , very long and very often the PANIC button !!! Called Judy on my cell and screamed HELP . Her comment "MOM they are coming , was it you pressing that button soooooo much" Yea Baby that was ME!!!:rotfl2:She then asked if anyone else was in the elevator !!"NO I have it all to myself ":rotfl2:Apparently a Paniced Mom thought her son was on it !! I heard the CM's coming and somehoe they got it to go up and got the door opened so I could get out and believe me I did !!!:rotfl2:
Phil had his version of it (He wasn't there buttttt) I was in the elevator wrapped in just a bath towel and as they got the door open 30 Chinese Popparazzi took pix !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
So Glen if you want pix you have to find those Chinese Guys !!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

That's funny Rosie! I'm always being accused of pushing too many buttons, too! :lmao:

I've been trying to comment on your TR, Glenn and first I got kicked out during dinner and now I don't know why.

It is sad to see your TR coming to an end, and strange to think your trip was almost a year ago!

Thanks for sharing your memories with us - you made alot of them! You have provided so much fun banter and friendship here! :grouphug:

So glad your Hoop-De-Doo was so fun! I wanted to comment on the bathroom pic - I believe I've heard about this before, and I think it was from Mrs.. Hoop-De-View herself!:rotfl2: It is quite strange for sure.

Liesa, I don't know what would give people the idea that you OR I would frequent men's bathrooms:confused3

Glenn, In the scheme of things and for all the parks and activities involved, your list of "didn't dos" is actually pretty short! Just another excuse to get another ticker! Looking forward to seeing how your trip finishes!:3dglasses

Glenn I am awfully (an not very fashionably) late for that, but: You have never been on the TTA???? ;)

I am glad that you finally corrected that mistake! I loved the Peoplemover at DL on our 1992 trip (it has since disappeared) because of the fact that it was such a cute introduction to Tomorrowland. The old TTA spiel did not provide that as much, it was more a simulation of being on a real public transport in Tomorrowland. The new spiel brought that sightseeing aspect back and I really like it for that.

Wha? You too? Does Kathy know?
Well, seeing as how it was the first ride we did when we got to MK on our New Year's trip, I guess she can't say too much! (but I'm sure that won't stop her!) :rolleyes1
I can tell you've been married a while Marv.
You got THAT out of THAT comment??? Yeah, okay, I can see how it would be possible.....
We're all waiting to see how we did on the latest contest.
I always try to put off being the bearer of bad news.........
I could see you in a shop class. ::yes::
Glenn, you've been married long enough to know women don't need shop class! It is inherent in their DNA to already know how to shop...... ;)
Phil had his version of it (He wasn't there buttttt) I was in the elevator wrapped in just a bath towel and as they got the door open 30 Chinese Popparazzi took pix !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Yeah, but I heard that your towel got caught in the door when it closed, so when they finally got the elevator to go up......... :scared1:

What? YOU? NO WAY!!! :confused3

It very well could have been. There were more than a few things I saw in there. ;)

Liesa, I don't know what would give people the idea that you OR I would frequent men's bathrooms:confused3

I just don't know. So strange... :confused3:lmao:

The old TTA spiel did not provide that as much, it was more a simulation of being on a real public transport in Tomorrowland. The new spiel brought that sightseeing aspect back and I really like it for that.

You and I agree on a LOT Of things, but this just isn't one of them. (GaSP! conflict-on-the-thread-alert!! bwoop, bwoop!!)

I really enjoyed the old one more. I like how it transported us to another "world" with imaginary play. I thought it was more creative then just here we are at such and such, and now we have the such and such. While still relaxing and a nice spin around the TL, the other I thought, drew us into what Walt wanted- to transport us to another place and time.

Having said all of that.... I think we can still ride TTA together and enjoy ourselves.

No, you're not doing too bad. Although you did get home earlier and so you got an earlier start on your TR.
you have a point there, but i think i only got home early by like 3 days, so that isnt even enough time to do one update
:lmao:

Hey, when I finally got a chance to check in I had to brush the cobwebs away, so I'm just happy somebody even KNOWS I'm pushing it!!!

You might have to use a third order differential equation soon to calculate how long it has been since I updated!!!
Oops, sorry to run off your regulars Glenn...... :guilty:
we couldnt forget you buddy.

if it involves math im out.

:teacher:

:goodvibes I am not going to endanger our friendship over the TTA spiel!!

My comment wasn't meant to say that the new spiel is better than the old one - I absolutely understand what you loved about the old one. It's just that the DL Peoplemover was one of the attractions that sold me on DL in 1992 because I thought it was such a clever concept. And my ideal spiel would be a mix of the old and new.

I knew it wouldn't cause permanent damage to our friendship. ;)

Hey, I like it. A mix is a good concept- but if they ever take out "Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow" I"m gonna have to throw a hissy.

I just read your entire PRT & TP in three days. Wow. What an awesome trip!! It just make me that much more excited for ours in December.

REALLY?!! Well, ok. Maybe. Over near the vending machines.

Sure, shop class and home economics too.

Well seeing as Glen hadn't heard of my elevator nightmare !! That's a great story! Some real Disney magic for all the paparazzi.

That's funny Rosie! I'm always being accused of pushing too many buttons, too! :lmao:

Not by anybody around here, I hope.

I've been trying to comment on your TR, Glenn and first I got kicked out during dinner and now I don't know why.

That's no good! Not while you're trying to comment on my thread, especially. ;)

It is sad to see your TR coming to an end, and strange to think your trip was almost a year ago!

Thanks for sharing your memories with us - you made alot of them! You have provided so much fun banter and friendship here! :grouphug:

Aw, thanks. I enjoy the banter the most....I just have to write another chapter every so often to justify the thread! But you probably already suspected that.

So glad your Hoop-De-Doo was so fun! I wanted to comment on the bathroom pic - I believe I've heard about this before, and I think it was from Mrs.. Hoop-De-View herself!:rotfl2: It is quite strange for sure.

Mrs. Hoop-De-View huh? Who could that be? Is she known for her greetings?

Liesa, I don't know what would give people the idea that you OR I would frequent men's bathrooms:confused3

A-ha!

Glenn, In the scheme of things and for all the parks and activities involved, your list of "didn't dos" is actually pretty short! Just another excuse to get another ticker! Looking forward to seeing how your trip finishes!:3dglasses

Short, but there are some real biggies on there, which is what amazed me the most.

Great, thanks!

Glenn I am awfully (an not very fashionably) late for that, but: You have never been on the TTA???? ;)

Very fashionable Magdalene! But yes, er well, I had never been on it, but have now!

Yes, I thought it'd be good for someone's first introduction to Tomorrowland.

Well, seeing as how it was the first ride we did when we got to MK on our New Year's trip, I guess she can't say too much! (but I'm sure that won't stop her!) :rolleyes1

I hope she does....she gave me grief in large font!

You got THAT out of THAT comment??? Yeah, okay, I can see how it would be possible.....

It wasn't too hard.

Glenn, you've been married long enough to know women don't need shop class! It is inherent in their DNA to already know how to shop...... ;)

Good one!

Yeah, but I heard that your towel got caught in the door when it closed, so when they finally got the elevator to go up......... :scared1:

And I heard you were the one hitting the "up" button.

Leave it to you Marv!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:rotfl:

you have a point there, but i think i only got home early by like 3 days, so that isnt even enough time to do one update
:lmao:

Oh well, I tried.

if it involves math im out.

:teacher:

So........that leaves spelling????

I don't even know what to say to this whole discussion. Maybe we should put the two of you on the TTA together, videotape it, and make it a reality show?

I just read your entire PRT & TP in three days. Wow. What an awesome trip!! It just make me that much more excited for ours in December.

:welcome: 21hearts! Thank you for reading! Wow, 3 days....it sounds like you got that card that they sometimes give you in line at a Disney attraction to time how long the wait is. Well, I'm flattered that you read it all and really glad that it's helping you get psyched for your upcoming trip!

And I guess you as a DL veteran would know what this refers to?

Yes!! And I loved Flight to the Moon!!! We always went on that one since it was one of my mom's favorites too.Mr. Tom was the "co-host" that interacted with a real CM. He kinda reminds me of C3PO from Star Tours a little. But my all-time favorite was next door- Adventure Through Inner Space. I liked the queue where they made it look like the people in the ride-mobiles were actually gettingn smaller! How cool is that??!

I don't even know what to say to this whole discussion. Maybe we should put the two of you on the TTA together, videotape it, and make it a reality show?

Oh, I like that idea a lot!!! It would mean we are actually THERE, together!! The reality is that we would probably be giggling, holding up our arms in mock thrill, and trying to get that perfect feet picture. ;)

Wow....we're already near the end...

Glenn, I just wanna say that I LOVED following along with your TR and all the antics of everyone here! I'm sad to see this end, but am looking forward to the next one already!

I'm also really surprised you've never been on the TTA either! After all those trips too.

Thanks for writing such a great TR!
