We will be staying at WL for Thanksgiving this year. From reading the DIS it looks like one day (Thanksgiving) or night (Sunday the 26th if there is no MVMCP) will be spent touring the resorts and viewing the holiday decorations. I am looking for the most efficient route to view the most resorts using only Disney transportation. We will have PHP also, good for cutting through a park.
So what do you think?

Are you thinking of doing all the resorts or perhaps only the "clusters" that are well served by Disney Transport so you avoid the "resort to park to resort" routine?

For example, easy enough to go to the Monorail complex resorts - CR, Poly, GF - get to the MK or TTC and then hop on the monorail - or from the WL take the bus to MK or boat to MK or boat to CR and then work your way around the loop (3 resorts)

From the TTC take the monorail to Epcot (I assume you are ok with a walk through Epcot) - walk through Epcot and out of the World Showcase side - from there you can see BC/YC/BCV and BWV/BWI along with the Swan and Dolphin (that's 7 resorts with one transport)

All the rest You could go to a park and then hop a bus to POR/POFQ - bag those 2 and then get on the boat to DTD and get off at SSR and then walk around there - go over to DTD, get a bus to OKW - that bags 4 in total

The rest are scattered and not easily reached by Disney Transport without backtracking (Pop, All Stars, CBR, CSR, AKL)

I think trying to get all in one day is going to be very hard unless you bail from time to time and grab a cab - as for doing it in one night - I just do not see it

I would go to the MK, hop on the monorail, stop at CR, Polynesian, GF, take their bus to MGM. Walk over to BW, YC/BC and then take the BC bus to AKL. Take their bus to AK and then a bus back to WL.

Thanks!!
Just want to get this right - there's a bus from Beach Club to Animal Kingdom Lodge??

I think I will use the monorail loop suggestion for sure. Then go over to Epcot and ride the boat, after grabbing lunch or dinner, to the hotels on that stretch. But if I can get to AKL from BC then I'll save BC for last and head to AKL for the final destination. I didn't think there were resort to resort busses. Hope that all makes sense.

I guess if we are doing this on Thanksgiving then I'd better plan on eating lunch/dinner at one of the hotels.

Hmmmm, but if I can take the monorail to the TTC and hop a bus to AKL then a bus to Epcot and do the boat ride to the BC, BW... and finish up there.
Do resort busses go out of the TTC? Or maybe I will have to catch a bus from MK.

Sorry for the rambling, I'm thinking out loud. Thanks for listening.

I do not know of any bus from BC to AKL - you can get from BC to AK and then grab a bus to AKL but no direct from BC to AKL

If you take the monorail into Epcot just a reminder you will have to walk through Future World and part of World Showcase to exit Epcot between UK and France - when you exit you can go straight and into the Beach Club or turn left and head towards the Boardwalk Inn/Villas area

There are boats at the exit as well that you can take to the Yacht Club pier and Boardwalk pier and to the S&D as well - they are quite slow though

Hope some of this is helping

cheers
