Most Convenient Resort

Depends on what you want to be convenient TO. Many would say the monorail resorts because of the ease of the monorail and proximity to MK. But if your favorite park is AK, the monorail resorts are not that convenient for you.

IMO, the Epcot area resorts (Boardwalk, Beach Club/Yacht Club, Swan/Dolphin) are among the most generally convenient. You can walk or boat to two of the four parks, and they are centrally located so they have relatively easy commutes to MK, AK, and Disney Springs. You can also walk or boat between each of these resorts, giving you more options for dining and entertainment.

I agree with PP. If you want easy convenience to Epcot/MK IMO Poly is the way to go - Monorail over, and can walk to TTC. If you want convenience to DHS/Epcot then YC/BC/BW are the resorts.

I agree, it depends on what kind of convenience you are looking for. For MK the monorail resorts are best followed by WL or FW. For EPCOT I'd say Beach/Yacht or Boardwalk because you can walk or take the boat and same goes for HS. If you want to be close to DS then Saratoga is the most convenient I believe.

I would say the Epcot resort hotels (YC, BC, Boardwalk). We always personally want to avoid "the monorail is down" or "the bus is full" or just having to wait for any form of transportation as much as possible, so I love having the ability to walk to 2 of the parks. Epcot is the resort we go to most often because we get a hopper and often eat there for dinner on our trips.

Like everyone said, it's personal preference depending on your needs!

You can catch the monorail to MK easily, and it is a QUICK QUICK walk to the TTC where you can catch the Epcot monorail which also puts you close to DHS

FWIW, I would bus to DHS from Poly. If you take the Epcot monorail to get to DHS, you exit at the front of Epcot and have to walk through the entire park to the International Gateway, and then get on the boat to DHS. Lot of walking, time consuming, and would require park hopper tickets.

So with that being said, I would say Poly and the Epcot area resorts (BC, YC, BWI, Swan/Dolphin) are all about equal in terms of convenience. Alternate transportation (other than buses) to two of the four parks, and easy convenience to other nearby resorts as well.

We've made BCV our home resort for the very reason that we could stay off the buses for two of the four parks. Now that we have two little ones in tow now and like to spend most of our time in MK, then Poly works for us due to the proximity to the TTC and monorail to EPCOT.

We pick our resort based on our park plans. If we are focused primarily on MK, CR is most convenient for us. If focus is MK/EP, Poly is super convenient. If EP/DHS are the focus, any of the EP resorts work for us. Only visiting AK, AKL is the choice.

Coronado Springs is the most centrally located resort, but not walkable or boatable to anywhere.

What are your park plans?

Planning a resort based on park plans?
I see this often
Is it uncommon to visit all 4 parks during a trip?
We always do, no matter how short a trip. I assumed the majority do but maybe not. Maybe only some is most common

overall... the most convenient resort we stayed at was Saratoga Springs. We were very close to a theme pool, the bus stop was a 2 minute walk and we could see the times the bus was coming. DS was an 8 minute walk and 5 minute boat ride and the bus rides were all around 10 minutes to which ever park....always had a seat as well
I found the Poly and BLT to be great for MK and OK for EPCOT at the POLY but the bus service has never been so great at best... But the 5 minute monorail ride to MK is great. The EPCOT resorts and we are staying at Boardwalk this year I have always found to be the least convenient except for leaving EPCOT after the fireworks and eating at EPCOT as the bus and boat service is slooooow otherwise you are in for a walk to get any attractions.

Our overall best is Old Key West. Great main pool plus Turtle Pond has great pool and snack bar. Gurgling Suitcase awesome pool bar, great Community Hall for activities. Biggest rooms on property, boat to Disney Springs. Buses never crowded, Beautiful grounds too.
