Please !! Someone fellow DIsney lover has to be able to help.

I keep getting this annoying pop-up that refuses to go away.

It is telling me that I am downloading a file. Something like

US- Payment @aol.com

I dont even have to do anything. Everytime I go into a favorite, it pops up again. I dont want to open it, or save it to my computer for fear of a virus, so I keep closing it out, or clicking cancel, but it just comes back !! Can anyone help??!! TIA !!!

Maybe you can ask on the Tech Support? That sounds weird...Hope you figure it out!

I have had the same thing on my comp for like 6 months, will only appear maybe 2 days a week.

The most annoying pop up that I used to get (before Norton Internet Security blocked them all) was one that said STOP POP UPS!

OH OH...I know how to fix that!!!:D I had the same problem too and I called AOL and this is what you have to do.
Go to settings, preferences, internet properties, then on the tabs, click on shopping assistant. Uncheck shopping assistant and then hit apply, ok and I think you then need to log off and log back on.
Anyways, that's what I did and I no longer have that annoying pop-up. If you have any problems, let me know and I'll be happy to help.

P.S. I also PM'ed you this info :D :D

It's probably best to close pop-ups by right-clicking on the button on the task bar at the bottom of your screen & then left-click on Close. Some of them disguise "continue" type buttons with close-this-window or "cancel" buttons.

I don't really have trouble with them anymore, since I downloaded the app Dan Murphy uses - Pop-Up Stopper from PanicWare.com. I can't believe how well it works for a free version. The only thing is that you need to hit CTRL if you want more than one browser window open - even for files on your hard drive...but it's better than the pop-ups!

Recently I started using a browser that kills those silly things I heard about on "The High Tech Texan". It's called Avant and it's Freeware. It will make a sound and count all the attempts to "Pop-up". :p
