Most ANNOYING gift your kid(s) got!

DS's toy drum has a volume control, but even on 'soft' it's annoying as heck. The Cookie Monster/Elmo magnadoodle does NOT have a volume control, but I can turn it off (found the switch today). DS loves to draw on it..he just figured out about 2 weeks ago what crayons are for. :goodvibes

:wave2: :wave2: :wave2: Me too, me too!!!! Oh, I am going to shoot that darn chicken!!! Ours got relegated to the unfinished basement by yesterday morning. And it takes up so much room!!

Of xourse, the Black Belt Karate Masters video thing is pretty bad too. THat stupid Tommy Nitro song also gets stuck in my head.

The girls got a Karaoke machine with 3 CD's
If I here one more Hillary Duff song I may throw up :teeth:

DD got a Karoake machine too, but she refuses to use it. That might be a good thing! Of course, hers plays Bicycle Built for Two, Oklahoma and When Irish Eyes are Smiling and one other song even I have not heard of. That may be part of why she won't play with it.

Great Grandmother bought DS a pimped-out truck. This thing is bright orange, has shiny rims, tinted windows, and most annoying it comes with four obnoxious songs that is suppose to imitate base. Where on earth did she find such a thing. DS loves it though. At two years old he thinks its the best thing ever.

DS10 got Nintendogs and a DS and it was really annoying while he was teaching that dog it's name! Since he mastered "sit" I haven't heard him talking to it anymore. Maybe the talking thing is just in the beginning. He's been playing with it constantly though! Loves it!

He also got zoo tycoon but it seems to be too much work for him or something so he won't even try it.

Same here... and if I here, "Sit, Clifford!" one more time, I think I'll scream ;-).

Our other most annoying toy is the iDog. Mercy!

It isn't quite as annoying once they learn there 1st command and their name, but of course you are supposed to teach it other commands, that could get annoying.

DD bought another dog yesterday :earseek: but he seemed to learn his name really fast.

Santa got our daughter "Belle Ballerina". It's a cheesy video with a plastic ballet barre. It said on the pkg it teaches the basic ballet steps. Well it teaches it in a song. They don't talk. The most annoying songs. The song has been stuck in my head since Christmas. And she loves it.

I am laughing reading this...I don't feel quite so mean now... LOL Ds11 got Nintendogs as well. and I swear if I heard Sit Woobie, sit!!!! one more time I was going to crack. I suggested not so gently to give it a rest and play another game. Which he did, However.... the second game was so much worse. Its a game cube game with BONGO drums. there is no joy stick you control the game by banging the drums and clapping your hands. Trust me do not buy this when he plays it the entire house is shaking and banging it sounds like we are loosing parts of the roof.

Little ds's got a huge collection of electronic dogs that are sound and motion activated and are continuing to cry and whine to each other... cute but, annoying..

Anyone get the air hogs wall climbing hummer???? DS 5 did, It does really work but it works on some kind of vacum system and is very loud. It is kind of like vacumming the kitchen walls. It's not bugging me but it is bugging my dd 18!

So glad I'm not the only one who's less than grateful :) The ones that are annoying me the most are: my mil who bought the kids kazoos to open before Christmas Eve dinner so "they'd have something to play with" :earseek: Then she also bought noisemakers for the dinner table - it actually ruined Christmas Eve for me - my DD 6 spent the evening making horrible, very loud noises and I kept asking her to stop only to have mil say "well I want her to play with it, that's why I bought them"

Other annoying presents: my mil who asked what to buy DS and I said the Melissa and Doug folding wooden castle. So what does she buy - a bigger, cheaper wooden castle with a million parts that has to be put together with slots and keeps falling apart. DS 4 loves it but now DH has to glue it together which makes it huge.

But the annopying gift of the year goes to my mother, who bought my DD6 a Nintendo Game Cube :earseek: . She was going to buy her art lessons and then calls 2 days before Christmas and says "don't be mad - I bought something" When I told her no, she promised to return it but then made a huge deal about it on Christmas so it's going in the basement until they're older. Why she wants to waste her money, I can't imagine.

I feel better already now that I vented - thanks :wave2:

the stupid cheeleader doll that says a cheer over and over again "MUCHKIN DAY HOW DEE DOO WE ARE HERE TO CHEER FOR YOU"and DD just keeps playing it over and over and over. DD got the doll from my SIL and Im gonna kill her for it.

DS12 got an R2-D2 robot from my BIL. It is so annoying, DS giving commands all day...."R2, dance." "R2, bring me a drink." "R2, move five paces." "R2, stay where you are." "R2, where is Luke Skywalker?"
My DD tries to give commands too, which only infuriates DS and causes a big fight, with R2 moving back and forth not knowing what to do.

They have spent so much time fussing over R2 that I can't even remember what DD recieved! I know BIL got her some things with many small pieces that I am not looking forward to dealing with. Most likely a lot of her gifts will wind up in the trash or at the Goodwill.
