Most ANNOYING gift your kid(s) got!

Grandpa just gave DS two remote control hover disc things. They're cool, but he of course wants to use them in the house (since we live in Wisconsin and it's December...) They are SOOOOOO loud though. And of course he keeps accidentally knocking things over with them. I think after tonight they are going in the closet until spring.

(my fault cuz santa brought it)-a robosapian. my son (and dh) are having a great time programming this thing to walk up behind myself and dd where it lets out a wolf whistle, belches and then breaks wind :rotfl2:

Santa brought that here to -
and the baby was SOOO afraid of it at first -
now she just keeps trying to hug it and it says "ooww"

glad i didnt get ds that dog then ;)

The girls got a Karaoke machine with 3 CD's
If I here one more Hillary Duff song I may throw up :teeth:

My brother and my MIL both always get a main present and then a bunch of little cheap dollar store toys for my son. I wish they would just stick with the one present, we don't need all that cheap junk, and he pays no attention to it. I usually end up throwing it away or selling it at my next yard sale.

It not so much the toys that are annoying it is the setup and those stupid ties they use to hold down the toys. It takes forever just to get the toys out of the boxes

My mom got the boys the Glow Doodle. It actually came right out of the box - wasn't tied down at all! We were all shocked that a toy wasn't tied down. OTOH, I have some Robots (movie) toys that I still haven't taken out of the packages because I'm dreading all those twist ties...

As for most annoying gift, by far it's the keyboard my MIL got the boys. The boys insist on keeping it at full volume.

oh my - my mom bought my youngest a Disney princess ride on toy that has all sorts of sounds...well my oldest thinks it is hers and she was riding it all day long...

of course there is no OFF switch so I had to take out the batteries!

The LeapFrog Drum my mom bought for DS.
"Have some fun everyone! Have some fun everyone! Play the drum!" over and over and over has made me want to toss that thing out the window.

ETA--the second most annoying toy he got was from our neighbors. It's an Elmo/Cookie Monster mini-magnadoodle that giggles and goes "COOKIE! COWABUNGA! ELMOOOOOOOOOO!" when you press on it or when you use the handle to erase the picture. I want to take the batteries out of the stupid thing.

Nintendogs!!! And, I was the one that bought it for her! All day yesterday we heard, "Sit! Sit down! Maddie, sit down! Sit!". Plus, to make matters worse, she named her Nintendogs Lab puppy Maddie, which is what our real Lab is named, so everytime she called the dog while playing the game, our real dog would get excited thinking she was being called! Poor thing!

My DD started to name her dog the same as our too (Toby) but I suggested she change it, thankfully it took forever for him to learn his name. Now it's Lucky so a majority of Christmas morning it was "Lucky, Lucky, Lucky.....until the dang thing finally caught on! Now he knows how to sit and just finally mastered the lie down last night. And he went through his first Agility course and took 1st Place!.

Of course I'm having just as much fun with the game as she is.

Try putting some clear packing tape over the speaker area...it does a nice job of muting things that don't have volume control and the tape is sticky enough that your toddler shouldn't be able to pull it off easily.

Amy :)

Well, I would have to say the "Fish in Space" fish bowl. My 22yo BIL bought for my son. Now, we pretty much have to get my son a fish.

All DH could say, "it's a FISH bowl."

BIL would say, "But it's cool!"

DH, "FISH, bowl"

BIL's GF, " I told you it was a bad idea!"

We should get our boys together  The guitar doesn't sound any better on maximum volume...

Freakin' Ipod Shuffles!!

Two whole days shot, and they STILL don't work!! :badpc:

The keyboard my DD got from my grandmother.

2nd place- the BArbie doll house that makes noise from Santa

Well, Santa brought Nintendogs, so I can't blame anyone. We have hardly played with ours though. Will he die? :guilty: I don't think ds is as into it as I thought he'd be. We taught him how to sit today (I had to do the petting over and over and over) and ds was getting tired of saying 'sit down' so many times, so we fed him and shut it off. Anyone know if you can not play it for days and days without a 'death' or something?

As for dd, she got the Dora house with several people/accesories. Her favorite thing is the 'field journal' that Diego has. Where is it now? No one knows. It is the size of a large postage stamp. Wish I could buy several of them!

Is the Nintendogs the game that is for nintendo DS? I'm debating on getting the Nintendo DS or Gameboy Advance for my DD's birthday next month. She'll be 8 and she wants the "nintendogs" and also the new "Animal Crossing" games. I think they are just for the Nintendo DS though, but it seems like Gameboy Advance has more other games. Any advice?

You can use Gameboy Advance games in the DS, but not the other way around.

DD12 got the Nintendo DS, Nintendogs and Animal Crossing for Christmas, and has done nothing else for 48 hours straight - she LOVES them!!! This is the best gift I've ever given her, she says. I'd go with the DS - there will be new games for it this year, I'm sure.
