 I hate them , and they know it. I know they all find me just to terrorize me.

Can anyone give me a good reason why they are on the planet?? :confused3

Well, I could tell you about them being food for other animals.... bla bla bla
but instead I will say... so that we can have a use for citronella :)

Instead of a bird show, we will have mosquito shows where they will yell out their buzzing mating calls

Mosquitos used to LOVE me. now I hardly ever get bitten. I guess they just don't like me anymore.

Sorry they're terrorizing you though.

I am a mosquito buffet. They attack me as soon as I go outside and I get big welts from them. They never bother my DH. He's not allergic to poison ivy either but it gives me an awful rash. I wonder if there is a connection?? :scratchin

:rotfl2: :lmao:

I am, too! They love me, and my bites also swell up into big horrible welts. :sad2:

I sure wish Noah had just swatted those two mosquitos!

So fleas can feel superior?

:teeth:

Family guesses it's all my meds. A mosquito dares to bite me and they die from a drug overdose :rolleyes1

Funny thing about that...

When we were getting ready to move to Florida everyone told us how much we were going to hate the heat and bugs. After nine months, and, of course, we still have July and August to go, I have to say it's not as bad as I thought it would be. The heat here in The Villages has not been unbearable and the mosquito problem was much worse up in New York. Of course, I may be eating these words in a few months, but it's still better most of the year than NY ever thought about being. Maybe the screened lanai has a lot to do with it.

Opposite for me...use to hate me, now love me. Go figure.

August and September are the months the heat really kicks in :sunny: . As far as mosquitos ... the most aggresive ones are up north. Alaska and the UP of Michigan had the worst I ran into.

The ones in alaska really are small birds! I did find that the cutter bug spray wipes worked great with them.
As for FL, they used to be much worse but now the cities/counties usually spray so it helps

I haven't been bitten by a mosquito for over a year. Now excuse me while I go knock on wood.

If you remember in Lilo and Stitch, they don't blow up the planet because it home to the rare mosquito bug. Pleakly is sent here to study them - or something like that. :rotfl: :happytv:

And the worst mosquitos I have ever run into was in Maine along the beaches. We used to go to this one campground and some of the best beaches (no one on them) could only be accessed through this reedy, beach grass. We quickly figured out why no one was on those beaches. :rotfl2:
