Hey guys,
going to epcot for my DH's b-day and he mentioned wanting to eat at Restaurant Marekkesh(sp).

What are ya'll reviews of this one? thanks

We ate there in June and didn't really care for the food. I wanted to give it a try and I'm glad I did, but I don't have the desire to return. BUT, that's just us...our taste. There are lots of folks here that love it. The entertainment & decor was fun!

We've eaten there several times and really enjoy it. I usually get a sampler platter so I can try a few different dishes.

I have more Marrakesh pix HERE.

I have been a few times and love the foods that i have ordered. The Sultan's Sampler ( which has changed over the years) is the one I get. The chicken and beef kabobs are very good. I love the beef brewat rolls. I had never had cous cous until here and I like that and the rice is good. I don't care for lamb but my father tried the Berbers feast and really like everything he had. My mother and sister were hesitant and I knew Mom wouldn't like much but figured sister would like the chicken kabobs. Mom ordered only the Chicken bastilla and ate only half of it.She didn't care for much of anything except the beef brewat rolls ( everyone loved those). If you are a bit hesitant about "new" foods you may find you don't care for the food here. Check out the menu and see if it sounds okay to you.

Thanks everyone for your quick responses.
*********** thanks especially for the great pics
We may try Rose and Crown now that Dh saw the menu, but who
knows.;)

We ate there last month and LOVED it. We will definitely go back. We had the sampler dinners and I think we all licked the platters clean. The flavors were not overbearing, I wouldn't even say they were "rich." They were slightly unusual. I would highly recommend it.
