Morning EMH question

How worthwhile is it to take advantage of Extra Magic hours in the morning? I have heard it makes the parks busy later on, but we are thinking about doing HS and only staying for about 3 hours or so. Is it significantly less crowded? Or not so much? Thanks you

LOVE all of the AM EMH!
We nearly always go to AM EMH (virtually every day of the trip
that we did not do a PM EMH late the night before)...
never ONCE regretted an AM EMH.

If that park then starts to fill 2 to 3 hours later...
We're happy with "doing" that park for the day and we
can HOP elsewhere or do lunch and take a rest until
later.

People are split pretty evenly on this, it seems. If you can get up for it, definitely do it. Much less crowded.

When we stayed on site we always found morning EMH to be worthwhile. You can get so much done in the first hour and the crowds really don't build until after 10am. If you can bring yourself to get up early on vacation I would suggest you give it a try. Especially if you plan to leave after 3 hours.

Sounds good, thanks. I am not a morning person, but unfortunately my children are, haha, so I guess I might as well make the most of it!

I have never found a difference in crowds.

I love taking advantage of AM EMH. I get more done in that 1 hour than during the 2 hours during PM EMH.

As others have said morning EMH are great... I did HS last fall... I've rope dropped RnR and then went to ToT and walked on. Then went over to rest of the park... was done by 10am for an 8am opening. Of course everything will change TSL and SW.

Would you go to a morning EMH if you closed down a park that is open until 10:30 the night before? I'm debating on if we should try a morning extra magic hour starting at 8:00 am if we have stayed out at HS until 10:30. I would guess we would be in bed by midnight after traveling and getting showers.

This would depend on you personally.
My sister and I have often shut down a park late and gotten up for AM EMH but that's just how we roll.

That's not a bad timeframe.

At home, for years we've gotten up early for work, even after staying up late.
If we can do it for WORK, we can certainly do it for FUN!

I know I could do it but not so sure about my granddaughter.

We did the EMH for AK last week. We got there at 7:30 for an 8:00 EMH. It was awesome. Wasn't crowded. Could have easily walked on to FOP. We had a Fp and chose to do EE and Dino instead. We knew we wanted to leave the park around 2:00 so we were trying to fit all the rides in.

Much less crowded, but not all rides are open. Usually skip to a different park later in the morning when it gets crowded.

This is what I am hoping for next week!!! Since AK has EMH every day in the morning I am so hoping that spreads out the EMH crowds and we can get one really awesome Golden morning!

EMH are awesome! You can get soooo much done. I highly recommend it. By noon i'll leave the park for lunch somewhere, then i'll switch over to another park OR i'll go rest for a bit at my resort.

We did EMH for AK last week and barely anything was open at Rope Drop. EE, Kali, Safari, PW, the trails and even Dinosaur were down. Eventually Dino started up. It was amazing because the parks were really quiet as everyone was over at FOP. But we weren't able to do anything! So in theory it sounded awesome. I did enjoy walking around and looking at everything without the crowds. I just wish we would have realized how much is not open before we got there.

Most of those are listed as open during EMH, I wonder if that was a fluke?
