Morimoto or Kimono's

We were really excited about Morimoto Asia opening and were planning on going during our Christmas trip, but the reviews don't make it sound very exciting. We are going during an incredibly busy time of the year and staying at BWI. For those of you who have eaten at both, is Morimoto Asia worth the trek over to Disney Springs? Or should we stick to the tried and true Kimono's? Thanks!!

Depends what you want. Kimonos sushi is better, and there is a greater variety of offerings. But if you want more than just sushi, Morimoto would be a better choice (their ribs are to die for).

We personally enjoy the atmosphere, staff and the food more at Morimoto than Kimono, but to each their own of course. The sushi bar staff are great at Morimoto and have come to look for us each week when we head over for dinner, sushi or just some Sake The restaurant itself is a very nice design and as I said, we enjoy the atmosphere and the staff more.

The Sashimi is very good (to me) and the chefs are always willing to let you try anything you have never had prior, before ordering. In our visits anyway. The personal touches, though we are locals, from the staff is what we enjoy obviously. Tough to get at a place that sees so many different people per day.

Josh at EasyWDW just reviewed the sushi at Morimoto as was not impressed.

Therefore, I'd give the edge to Kimono's.

We ate at Morimotos Wednesday - we did not get the sushi. The ribs were out of this world and the duck was very good as well.
