We leave for four days in Wildwood tomorrow. ALready had a super long (18 day) trip to WDW so we made this one short. Staying at Oceanview Motel in WIldwood Crest (always stay there). Kids can't wait to get back.

Any word on the Tropical storm/Hurricane Irene. Last I heard was that there was a slim chance we would feel any effects.
Just a reminder for those going to Wildwood, watch the rip currents. The rip currents may be the only side effect we feel from this tropical storm. But it worries me the most, especially knowing how kids love the ocean. Be careful.

I love all the tips here !! I think eveyone's thoughts/opinions are great !!

It's on Rio Grande Ave, on the right hand side, a block or so before the boardwalk.

Keep in mind too that they do a family night on Thursdays too. I think you get dinner for 4 and 4 wristbands for maybe $120. The dinner might be a speggetti dinner somewhere. I'm not 100% sure though. I do remember seeing the signs on one of the piers. And I'm pretty sure it includes dinner for 4 somewhere.

That is right , we did this just two weeks ago and it worked great for us , it included the spaghetti dinner at the Rendezvous Beach picnic area ( it's right by the waterpark area ) and the food was pretty good. The deal was dinner for 4 people , and the wristbands to ride everything they wanted on the three piers , all for $124 , and if you have more than 4 people in your family , you can add people for like $33 per person and that also includes the dinner.
That was by far the best deal we got , the TuesDay wristbands for $15 is only between the hours of 12-6 , it was extremely hot for that when we went down a couple of weeks ago.

definitely go tot he cape may zoo. the horse and buggy ride in cape may is fun as well!
we get books of tickets at holiday time for the next year. good food coupons and waterpark as well.
wildwood crest beach is wonderful!

also the lighthouse and beach in cape may is nice, a dolphin watch etc

there are some nice food places between wildwood and cape may if you feel like getting off the beaten path

With all the talk about the zoo, it should be pointed out that it is the county zoo, so it isn't in Cape May! If you are looking for it, it is off the Garden State Parkway at "Exit" 11. http://www.co.cape-may.nj.us/Cit-e-Access/webpage.cfm?TID=5&TPID=442

Oh my gosh, we were just in Wildwood on Sunday, we took a Mack's Pizza home (to our Cape May house) and passed Sea Shell Ice Cream. Our boys used to love the bubble gum ice cream, they would save the bubble gum pieces to the end. Yuck as far as we were concerned, but such wonderful memories now!
