Some people luck out and get them right off the bat. Toot Sweet is a new poster with less than 200 posts and she already has 3 tags, I think.

I, on the other hand, was here for 4 years before I got my first tag. You just have to be in the right place at the right time.

Right place, right time is what happened to me.
I think I had 28 or so posts when I got mine.
Of course, I would like to think it has something to do with my uncanny sense of hilarity, however, I highly doubt that.

shoulda happened when you made your 500th post perhaps since the tag fairy visited you they need to do it manually?
