More surgery possible for my dad

I just heard from my sister and dad is not leaving the hospital today as planned. Even though the quadruple bypass surgery went well, his heart is fluttering so now they are considering putting in a pace maker. If you can continue the prayers and good thoughts I would greatly appreciate it.

I know nothing about pace makers, does anyone know about the procedure?

Putting a pace maker in is a relativly easy proceedure.My father has one, they installed it on a Wed. he was out by Fri. My mother in law has one too. It is pretty routine nowadays I guess. Sending wishes and good thoughts your way for a speedy recovery for your Dad!

My FIL has a pacemaker. He was about 78 or 79 when they put it in & he only spent a day or 2 in the hospital afterward. It is a relatively simple & routine procedure, even though I know that when it's your own father nothing seems simple or routine. My Dad has been through the quad-bypass. It was 19-1/2 years ago & he's been fine since. This year he had some changes in his stress test but they are treating it with meds. I'll keep your Dad in my prayers. {{{hugs}}] to you.

Sorry to hear about possibly more surgery Debbi but, it sounds like the pacemaker may do the trick and, get him home where he'll be more comfortable.
