More specific about 'WELCOME HOMES'

Tagging onto the almighty Vikings poll of 'Welcome Homes', I would like to know who would rather hear 'Welcome Home', than not hear 'Welcome Home'.

I can say that I truly enjoy a hearty 'WELCOME HOME!'

I think this poll may tell a significantly different story than the other.

When we joined it was just the DVC.(OKW) and all CM's would tell us "welcome home".
It really did give me the warm fuzzies.

I like this poll better than the other one. I do *like* to hear 'welcome home' but it's not the end of the world if I don't. Although -- just like there are a few DVC members who think it's weird to hear it, I think there are CMs who think it's awkward to say it.

.... on the way in,then I think the least they should do when you drive out is say " Ya'll come back now,ya hear ".

Since our member guide books are plastered with "welcome home" and it's I think of it as part of the mantra ..... CM's should use the greeting we've bought into

I can't wait to hear my first "Welcome Home." After that, I don't know....A free dinner or spa treatment each visit might do just as well. I know, dream on, jenny.

First trip after becoming DVC members, we went to VB, where we were "welcomed home". Second trip was to BWV where we weren't. Third trip was to VWL where we heard "welcomed home" quite a few times (most of the tiimes we pulled into the security gate). Gotta admit it...it really made me feel warm and fuzzy. So, YES...I LOVE IT!! Can't wait to hear it again!!! It's all part of the reason that makes Disney and DVC better than all the others.

We like the Welcome Home, but after check in we usually get a smile or wave from the guard at the gate, not a Welcome Home! I for one like the Welcome Home upon arrival, kind of makes you feel a little special!!

I'll make the same comment I did on the other poll.

It wouldn't lessen my trip if I didn't hear it, but it's a nice phrase and so I'm fine with it.

That is, as long as it is said with some feeling instead of mumbled quickly to allow the CM to "check it off his/her list of things to say".
