More Snow on the Way, Yuk!!!

Two winter storms are on the way to the Delaware Valley(Philadelphia area, Southern NJ, Delaware) again. Possible 3-6 inches of snow overnight Friday into Saturday, then another winter storm with additional snow Sunday night into Monday morning. I am so thankful I am on a four day weekend from work.

Just got back from food shopping, gotta have some goodies in the house for the weekend. Now I have to take my DW(48) to the hospital for pre-admission test for her upcoming hip replacement surgery on Feb 24th.

I'm right there with ya' Verandah Man. I also heard six inches by the time the first storms Saturday afternoon. What is driving me crazy is the forecasters are not touching Sunday's storm with a ten foot pole! The only amount I heard which was from the farmer's almanac (I believe) was 18 inches! And to think that is in addition to the six from tomorrow!

Don't think Southern NJ is the only one who is going to get hit. Your Northern NJ buddies are getting socked too. Should make getting to work on Monday fun! Sigh.

this morning that Northern NJ may get spared from both storms as they may stay south of us. But I guess we'll see!

Gee Tony, I must be listening to the wrong station. I thought I heard Bill Evans say earlier in the week something about "the snow storm of the century." I'd be happy to hear that he's wrong!

As long as it's not like the 30.7 inch snowfall we got in January 1996. It took me 8 hours to dig the car out and shovel the driveway after that "Storm of the Century".

Actually if you want to say that - I think anything over 8 inches at this poimt would be the storm of the century!!!

To put it bluntly, for the mid-Atlantic states and even southern New England, this storm could reach the same kind of proportions as the Feb '83 blizzard.

I don't quite remember the blizzard of '83 but it doesn't sound good. I hope everyone is well stocked for the next several days!

according to weather.com - it says Light Snow here Sat Morning and Monday Morning - thats it.. Someon'e s messing with us!!

Well, one thing for sure. We can't do anything about the amounts, we will just have to wait and see what happens!

Blizzard of '83, I remember that one. I got stuck up to my waist in a snow bank at work with that storm.

Well, I just watched the weather forecast on the 4pm news here in DC. They said the snow will start late this evening, with freezing rain mixed in. We could have as much as 10 - 18 inches by Sunday!! Holy Crap!!!

I got out of work at 2pm today, so I went to the grocery store (which had nothing to do with the pending storm, we're just outta stuff). It took me nearly 15 minutes just to snag a parking place. People were illegally parked all over the place. What a nightmare. When I finally parked and got in the store, I couldn't get a cart! I took 2 hand baskets and started shopping. What a madhouse!!

We can only hope and dream of a foot of snow! Yep I am one of those crazy people who love being snowed in! My brother just delivered more wood! So I will play in the snow and sit by a hot fire! to warm up!
