I've read everyhing people have posted about the pros and cons of riding Mission Space. I don't mind simulator rides or spinning rides like the tea cups. Motion sickness is not a factor for me. But mention has been made about facial pain following MS. I sometimes suffer from sinus pain and can get wicked headaches. Has anyone ever had headache problems following MS?

My mother sometimes has sinus problems, and she didn't complain of headaches the two times we rode it during soft openings. I would think you would be just fine.

My DH had a headache and was a little woozy when he came off it. We had a coke and pastry and sat for a little while at the electric umbrella and it passed about about a half hour. He told me to definately not ride it though, I get motion sick in simulators and I'm claustrophobic, he said I"d probably freak out in it.

I had a headache from the spinning, but it was more of a woozy headache than a sinus headache. Besides feeling dizzy, the rest of the crowd I was with seemed ok, except for my boyfriend. He is not one to get sick on rides at all, but he said, "I felt extremely ill and sort of numb - a cross between if i had just mowed the lawn and walked through the influenza ward."

Of course I am not one for spinning, but I was ok afterwards once I ate something. If the ride had been any longer I probably would have been sick. I would suggest eating something like saltine crackers afterwards if you are feeling queasy.

Not sure if this helps at all! Good luck!

My dh also got a headache after riding M:S. Didn't knock him out or anything but he didn't ride it again. He has been suffering with headaches for a bit now and they think it has to do with the optic part of his brain. So that would account for the headache.

I cannot ride the teacups.... I would be sick for the rest of the day.... no exaggeration! I can't even read in the car any more and if I am the passenger for more than an hour, even with no reading, I get feeling a bit ill/headachy (only since I turned about 30 however!).

That said, I had NO problems with M:S. I followed the directions (keep eyes and head facing forward, don't try to look around) and I had no troubles AT ALL. I rode it two or three times one day.

HOWEVER, in my humble opinion, the ride is not so exciting and thrilling that it would be worth feeling lousy for the rest of the day. Other than the feeling of the g-forces at the beginning of the ride, which were quite intense, I felt that the rest of the ride was just sort of ho-hum. ..........................P
