More Questions about DDP (sorry!)

Okay, I'm gonna ask a couple more questions. I'm sorry, I've never done the DDP, so I really don't know!

1. Does the DDP go along with hotel reservations? Do you purchase them all at once? If that's the case, if you book through Expedia or something, can you still do the DDP?

2. I'm doing a "girls trip" with a friend of mine and her little niece. If I wanted to do the DDP and they didn't that wouldn't matter, right? I remember reading something about everyone in the party had to do the DDP. Or something like that.

Anyhoo, any help is, once again, appreciated! Thanks!

You have to book a pkg to get the dp. You can not book thru expedia and book the dp.You can not just add the Dp to room only reservations either.DP goes by number of nights stay, you can not add more or less days on the DP without changing the length of your stay. All people on your reservation and in your pkg must do the DP if you choose to do it.

In order to get the DDP you must purchase a full package (unless you are military or have an annual pass). Everyone on the reservation must have the same package. If one person gets the DDP then everyone on the reservation must get the DDP.

No, you can't. DDP is available only with a package reservation including room and park tickets, booked through Walt Disney Travel Company, either by you or by a travel agent. Expedia does room only reservations. The dining plan can never be added to a room only reservation. (Only DVC members staying on points may buy the dining plan without purchasing a package reservation through WDTC. Only annual passholders and special military packages are exempt from the ticket purchase requirement.)

Everyone staying on one reservation must add the same dining plan for the entire length of the stay. The only way you could do that is to have one reservation for you which includes the dining plan, plus a second reservation for your friend and her niece which doesn't. You could not then stay in the same room.
