more questions about Crib Rentals.....

You guys are really bad, I never even considered renting a crib until I read this board, LOL!!!! I figured we'd deal with a pack n play.

A friend recommended Family Rentals of Orlando, she got her stroller from there and loved them. They are $79/week. They do assemble.

From what I gathered from the last thread A Baby's Best Friend does not assemble but their website says the crib is a patented design that does not require tools. So how hard could it be to put together?? Its $70 for 7 nights (we need 8 though).

Children's Furniture doesn't have a website, I hate not seeing things before ordering them. And I am assuming that their prices are in the $80 range, right??

So, what is the difference between all of these?? Why would you choose one over another? My son is just over 2, he could probably sleep in the bed (if we pushed it up against the wall) but I just think it would be easier, especially for a nap, to have a crib. I'm not sure how he would do in a pack n play, but he does nap fine in one at my parents house (only occassionally).

Hello! My son will be Two in June - and I just found out from the POP Century board that I could request bed rails instead of a crib - so my son can have his own bed and he won't fall off the bed. He doesn't sleep well in the pack-n-play anymore because he is too big - and the travel cribs are horrible..... just a thought! Good luck!

I just want to hop in and let you know that most hotel beds can't be moved, so you'd want to go with side rails on both sides if you go with the bed. As far as choosing a rental crib company, we chose Children's Furniture Rental for an upcoming trip based on good feedback here, the fact that they set up the crib, and the price was a wash with ABBF for the length of our trip (just a long weekend).

We have used Children's Furniture Rental several times, and even though they do not have a web site, their products that they offer and rent out are very high quality and their service is unbeatable. The cribs they rent out like brand new, very clean, sturdy, and full size like the ones we have at home. The fact that they set up and take down the crib for you is a definate plus, and when we checked into our hotel room late in the day, my dd was so happy to have her crib in the room all ready for her to go to sleep in!

The cribs that the resorts have a too small, flimsy, and the pack n plays never worked for my kids.
