More Info on Military Reservists and Disney Disounts...

I read an earlier post that stated that Reservists were not included with the latest Disney Discounts.

Actually, this offer is good for reservists who have been activated during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

We received the information just this week from our son's commanding officer. Our son is a Marine Reservist who has been in Kuwait and Iraq since January.

I was confused after reading the post and then re-reading the email I received, so I just called and spoke with a very nice lady at Disney.

At first, she was also confused, and then she pulled up the information and read to me the official statement, which said:

The Reservist must show Active Reservist Military I.D. and a copy of the orders showing that he was activated for duty between September 1, 2002 and the end of the Disney offer - December 19, 2003. By showing this, he and his family members will be eligible for all offered discounts - 40% off rooms, one free 5-day pass, and five disounted $99 5-day passes for family and friends.

So....as long as your husband or son (or wife or daughter) meets these requirements, you can enjoy the offer.

I wonder if this offer would include my son? He has enlisted and has a delayed entry military ID. I had spoken with someone at SOG and he does qualify for any discounts there. (although they didn't have anything available in our time frame). I am curious if he could take advantage of this offer because it would save alot of money since he and his fiance don't have passes yet for our 10 day trip in July. The rest of us have AP's. Is there someone I could call besides just CRO? Does anyone have any idea?
