more help is needed please...

FIrst of all I would like to thanks everyone that had suggestions on how to my "puter" working better. We're still trying different
things.

We recently installed ad-ware and I hoping IM working it right.

When I get done with the few things I can do since I dont have IE
anymore I run that and sometimes it comes up with X new objest found" then you have to check mark the squares and that deletes them. But when thats done a box come up and it shows things in quarintine do I need to get rid of these or are they considered gone.

also I learned the IE is a browser just like AOL now that I cant use IE till we get rid of whatever is on there is there some other browser I can get?

since I can only do one rewards or read this great info center it takes forever and I get no where

any advice would be greatly appreciated

When I run AdAware-
When the scan is finished and it shows how many bugs it's found, click NEXT. Right click on the list and "select all". Click NEXT again and a message will pop up asking if you want to remove all objects. Click yes, and it's done. If I have a stubborn program that won't go away easily I restart and run AdAware again.

The Virus you have picked up is not just in IE it is on your system.It just makes itself known when you use IE. It does not help to not use IE because the virus will send back the info it wants to the Hacker who programed it whether you use IE or not.

Does that make sense? I am not a techogeek so it is harder to explain for me but I do understand it LOL

I hope when you say you have installed Ad-ware you mean ADAWARE

Ad-ware is in itself a virus...

Have you installed hijack this yet?

If you have if you will post your scan or PM me with it I will try and help.

It is Ad-aware that is on our system not the "other" one...

Just thought I would clarify that so everyone isn't worry that Im sending out viruses!!

as you all know Im terrible with computers..

your questions would not clog the boards we all doing rewards or using the internet these days run into virus' so any knowledge is helpful.
