Today we took dd to Rainbow Children's Hospital regarding her positional plagiocephaly (flat head) and possible craniosynotosis.
The dr there said she definitely does not have cranio, which means NO surgery and that her plagio is very mild and will most likely correct on its own. She said we could get a corrective helmet for her to "speed up the process" but it wasn't necessary. When I questioned the doc further, asking if she would get one if this was her child, she said probably not.
So this nightmare is about over. We will keep an eye on her head development and if we see that is getting worse then we'll call the dr again.
Thank you EVERYONE for all of your pm's and kind words.
