more dining questions

sorry for the endless questions

so we are onsite with ddp for 7 night but i cant pick just 7 adrs

is it possible to make adrs for the 2nd week when we are staying off site?

so far on the restaurant short list i have
trex cafe *
boma or saana
crystal palace breakfast
tusker house breakfast
yak and yeti
be our guest
mama melrose for fantasmic*
akershus for the princess dining
ohana breakfast
rainforest cafe
cinderellas table


we wasnt planning on eating on site in the 2nd week as budget is getting really squeezed are there any above you think could be missed without missing out ?

*except these as kids choose t rex and we want a fantasmic package unless you think the other fantasmic restaurant options are better

we wont have a car the first week so prefer to eat at parks rather than resorts

You can certainly make the ADR's for your week offsite but the DDP expires at midnight on the day you check out of your disney resort, I think

I would say if you're doing T-Rex then you don't need to do RC too. Similar food and experiences. X

You do realise that 2 credits are required for Cinderella's Royal Table? That would mean you had one less TS credit available for the remainder of the week on DDP.

I would agree with Torsie that RFC and T-Rex are similar enough (in terms of food and atmosphere) that you don't need to do both.

If you are going to save some ADRs for your second week, I would save Boma/Sanaa as it is probably easier to drive to AKL/AKV than to use Disney transport.

Also, I would save the buffet breakfasts for when you don't have the DDP as it is probably a better use of the DDP to pay for an evening/a la carte meal.

do the animal kingdom hotel in week 2 when we have car and pay oop

i was going to pay cinderellas table oop aswell as im sure on another thread where somebody calculated the value of the ts credit it worke d out better to pay it

and i been on the dining restaurant boards this aft and am also thinking to do b.o.g as one of our snack credits

no you'll pay at the restaurant once you're given the check (unless it's a prepay venue) you might be asked for a CC number to secure the ressie though ( nothing charged unless you don't show up)

the breakfasts are just less stressful and we are all hungry at that time of day think kids will be in better mood and then we are not tied down t times on at least some of our days ,plus using the snack /cs after in the day means the kids can eat before us if they are hungry

had just read lots threads about it thats its one of the better quality cs and that the dinner menu is not that great ??

also while i have my dining questions whats your opinion on the pirate dinner show again kids are liking the look of this , or would you do a disney dinner show?

i have another couple of week before my adr window thankfully

If you have to cancel RFC have you thoyght about just nipping into the one at Animal Kingdom for a drink?

We did this last year on our way out and sat at the Bar and had a drink. The girls loved it and when we said would you like to come back for a meal they said No - they'd seen it all going off and they'd had a good look around the shop. Nuff said!

Just need to clarify (if anyone knows) if they accept debit cards for this or only credit cards. We don't have a cc so this could rule out a few of our favourite restaurants first time with dining plan thank you

We always use debit cards, no problem whatsoever.

Anyway the US do not have the chip and pin we use in the UK/Europe, so your card will always be treated as debit, so you'll be fine with a debit card as long as it's a major international card (visa, mastercard, amex ...)
