So I have another digital scrapbooking question for you guys. Since I started with traditional scrapbooking first I have TONS of paper that I reallly don't want to waste. I know how to work a scanner, but how do you guys scan the 12x12 papers?? What format do you save them in?? What about embellishments?? Thank you guys SO much for any help you can give me!!!

I haven't scanned any of my paper but I do tend to use it making other things like paper bag books, exploding boxes, star books, etc

Are there scanners out there big enough to scan 12 x 12 paper? Who is the manufacturer?

I have been a digital scrapper for a long time and I have seen this issue come up before.

MY suggestion, FWIW, is to just use paper for other crafts. There is an issue with copyrights that ifyou scan a paper (which is meant to be "single use") it violates that, unless you destroy the paper after wards. I know- it makes little sense LOL

However, if you want to try to scan it, I would say to scan it at 6x6/300 dpi. Then you can bring it into your editing program. Duplicate the image 3 times, then stitch them together. Merge the 4 layers, and save it as a jpg.

I use my paper for crafting instead of scrapping now. Altered items, banners, etc. I guess you could scan paper, but it seems like a hassle to me when there is so much awesome digital stuff already out there. Lots of paper companies are getting on board with digital now, too Basic Grey, Creative Memories and Stampin' up are all doing digital now. I'm sure other companies won't be far behind. The best thing about digital is that you can use one "paper" over and over again once you buy it. That rocks! :cool1:
