Good morning! I'm about to start on my busy day, but I'd thought I'd drop by...have a good day everybody!

I wanted to drop by tonight because I won't be around much tomorrow. Sammie & Dana are coming & sleeping over. So I am cooking--I promised them a turkey dinner the next time they came to dinner, so that is what I am making. Turkey, stuffing, veggies, yum!!!! So I'll be running to the store in the morning, cooking & cleaning later in the day, then they should be arriving sometime around 4:30. We'll watch Harry Potter 5 after dinner, then hopefully I can get them into bed. I'm not sure what time they are leaving on Sunday.

Isn't she cute? She is such a happy baby. She smiles as soon as her eyes open in the morning. She's a good sleeper too. She's sleeps all night and usually doesn't wake up until 8:30 - 9 o'clock in the morning.

Well thank God she's nothing like you !

I'm back from the dentist, with a numb mouth and packed full of guaze. I feel ok for now, but I'm sure the pain will kick in later. Good thing I've got some Vicodin.

LOL Poor Cliff! He sounds like me. And I'm on my way to fake teeth! When this is all done with, I'll have two missing on one side and two on the other. (I still need one more pulled) So I'm going to have one of those lower partial dentures made!
I'll be one of those nutty old ladies with her false teeth in a glass beside her bed.

Hi everybody! I had a great time with the girls yesterday. Dinner was great, but I did have a hard time getting the turkey into the oven. I had in it thawing in the fridge since Tuesday night (the package said 3 days would be good, so I figured an extra day would be even better) but the turkey was still a little bit frozen, so I had a hard time getting all the stuff out of the turkey. But it took some elbow grease (and now my left elbow is really hurting), a few fingernails & a change of shirt, but I got that sucker in the oven. and it was fantastic. I made peas & carrots, green beans, corn, stuffing and baked some sweet potatoes. The girls ate a ton! They helped me clear the table & Dana helped me do the dishes. We had started watching Harry Potter 5 before dinner, finished it after. They had some ice cream for dessert, then we watched the beginning of another movie, then I finally got them to go to bed at 10:30. I fell asleep in a chair, but dad woke me up at midnight. I decided to clean some more in the kitchen, ran the dishwasher & started watching some TV--finally went to bed at 2. My sister got to the house at 3 (she stayed over rather than driving to her house & then back to my house to get the girls), we talked for a bit, she went to sleep with the girls. We all got up at 8:30, had waffles for breakfast, went to 10:30 Mass, then they left straight from church. I think I'm going to take a nap!

Beth, I hope you're not in too much pain. Take the vicodin on a schedule and don't let it get to the point where you are hurting before you take it again.

I'm glad you had a nice time. OMG, that food sounds so good!!!!!! Other then some pudding, and a few bites of applesauce, I haven't eaten since Friday and I'm starving!!

Thanks Becky. I'm hanging in there. Got some sleep last night so that helped. My jaw is sore and swollen, but it's not unbearable.

yes Becky, we did have snow! When Monica got to my house at 3 AM, it wasn't snowing, but when we woke up at 8:30, snow was everywhere! but it stopped snowing by the time Mass was over (11:30), the streets got plowed sometime this afternoon (I did take that nap), so it should be OK from now on.

I have to go to work tomorrow. anybody else?

I should have done that. It's been a long time since I've made a turkey. And it was a problem because the legs were clamped together--and the damn clamp was frozen to the turkey. Once I got the clamp off the legs, and then I could get to the neck, I was almost there...of course the damn neck was frozen to the damn cavity.
