I know that they are taking more & more students for jury duty where I live. As long as you are 18, you can serve. And there isn't an 'ending' age either, but they take that on a case by case basis. And BTW Anita, if you are a caretaker for an older person (parent, spouse, in-law) you can be excused from jury duty as long as that person lives with you. Same for SAHP--as long as they don't work more than 20 hrs outside the home.
I bet they yelled at him, sent him back to the central jury room, and made him sit around for an extra day. He deserved it.
OMG I didn't know you could get exused from jury duty if you are a caretaker !!! thanks for that info because you bet i'll use it when I get called
