More Booze, Babble & Bananas

His biggest concern was that he couldn't wear shorts :rotfl:

Where is Joanne today !?

well, we weren't supposed to wear shorts, but some guys did.

I don't know--maybe she's doing her spreadsheets for the surprise trip? No, I just realized what--it's the end of the month, she's always busy at the end of the month at work.

I told Brian to just wear nice shorts but he wouldnt because the summons said not to .... ummm where did this kid come from :confused3

Well I guess Joanne has to make up for the rest of the month at some point

I think they do it to test you--to see if you follow directions. And I think people did it anyway hoping to get out of jury duty. But it didn't work for one guy--he was put on the jury! :lmao:

I know this is going to sound strange, but darn it, I make a good meatloaf.

Maybe they liked his legs. :rotfl:
I failed test. It said no jeans but I wore them. I'm not wearing dockers/works pants on any day I'm not going to work!

and I never did tell you guys a story from my jury duty. On the first day, when I had to go over to the courthouse, we had to stand/sit around for 2 hours waiting to go into the courthouse. After about 90 minutes, some guy in the group decides to check out what was going on in the courtroom. (we knew which judge's case we were going to be questioned about) So he does it, announces to some people what he saw. Then one of the court officers comes out, goes to him & says "did you just stick your head in there?" The guy says "yeah" (he was obvious--he was really tall & had a bright blue shirt on) So the court officer says "come with me", and he takes the guy somewhere else. Never did find out what happened to him--we did see him being taken out of the court house, but I never heard what happened, and darn it, it was killing me.

I know that they are taking more & more students for jury duty where I live. As long as you are 18, you can serve. And there isn't an 'ending' age either, but they take that on a case by case basis. And BTW Anita, if you are a caretaker for an older person (parent, spouse, in-law) you can be excused from jury duty as long as that person lives with you. Same for SAHP--as long as they don't work more than 20 hrs outside the home.

I bet they yelled at him, sent him back to the central jury room, and made him sit around for an extra day. He deserved it.
