The Duck boats have a huge blind spot at the front. Some duck operations have cameras to check for blind spots. The Duck boats were designed for military use.... not congested urban roads.

Oh no! A similar accident happened in Seattle about five years ago because of the vehicle's blind spots - a Ducks boat ran over a motorcyclist who was stopped at a red light. Thankfully he survived, but he was seriously injured. They're now staffing each boat with two crew members (one to drive and one to provide the narration) and have added mirrors and road cameras to help with the blind spots. You're right though, they're totally not made for urban congested areas.

In Seattle, how can I get from my hotel by Pine's market to the zoo? Is the zoo worth a visit? I will be in Seattle Friday from 12pm until Sunday night. Thanks

Uber would be the easiest way to get to the zoo from downtown, but you can also take a bus. Here's the zoo's directions page, Metro Route 5 will take you from downtown (3rd & Pike) right to the zoo entrance. http://www.zoo.org/parking#.V0dQOfkrK9J
We like the zoo, but the aquarium is nice too and it's walkable from downtown.

I've always gone in my own vehicle, so I can't help with the transportation question, but I can tell you the Woodland Park Zoo is an excellent zoo.
