Oh no! A similar accident happened in Seattle about five years ago because of the vehicle's blind spots - a Ducks boat ran over a motorcyclist who was stopped at a red light. Thankfully he survived, but he was seriously injured. They're now staffing each boat with two crew members (one to drive and one to provide the narration) and have added mirrors and road cameras to help with the blind spots. You're right though, they're totally not made for urban congested areas.There's another accident today....

The Duck boats have a huge blind spot at the front. Some duck operations have cameras to check for blind spots. The Duck boats were designed for military use.... not congested urban roads.
