Wow, Uma, exciting stuff. Congrats on the phone and the bag.

MommyP, MOO Hoo to not being sick anymore.

Speaking of being sick, I have a dentist appointment tomorrow (deep cleaning of one side of my mouth) and I am taking a sick day for it

Oh, Marita, that doesn't sound like fun? Deep cleaning? Are you seeing a periodontist?:grouphug: :grouphug:

I forgot to mention this morning that yesterday my phone also met a watery grave. It was sitting on the breakfast bar and Kaleb knocked it down into a glass of water. Chad opened it up and put it in the spin cycle and then placed it near a lamp. But it has no sound. And I have no service plan.

So I plan on telling them that we will be canceling and changing companys so they get me a new phone for cheaper. ;) That's what we did last time when Chad dropped his in the toilet. They gave it to us for $100 instead of the several hundred they call "retail value". Retail value by booty. Puh-leeze!

Hi Poly!

No, I am trying to AVOID periodontist. The thought of having my gums cut in half sounds like no fun at all, let alone probably not very chic!

Actually, it's not bad, I had the first half of my mouth done a couple of months ago, they gave me a shot and I got the Nitrous gas. They should sell that stuff on the open market, I'd be an addict.
It's so annoying when they actually insist to work on your teeth when you just want to enjoy feeling your toes tingle and thinking of happy things while floating :confused3

What is it with all the cell phone accidents? Maybe I never have any cause I don't use mine, only for emergencies, and then it is usually dead when I need it, LOL!

Thanks for the hugs!!

okay i am spent i have massively cleaned every room in my house to a shiny spottless clean, i only had to cry once and get dad on the phone for my boys to kick it in gear which they did a great job! i went to mop my floor and of course no swifter pads... arghhhhh so off to walmart i go so that i can mop my floors that are in need badly.. . just wanted to pop on and say howdy .

Hello Everyone out there!

Finally all back and showered and rested from long but fun day!

Uma - my MIL has the Lime Chocolate phone and I  it! It reminds me of the Dis everytime I see it! Thanks for the code! I may have to purchase a bag now. My shopping issues have increased widely since the start of the internet. Who can even remember when you had to go to the mall to actually buy something :confused3

Marita - DH has to go to the dentist tomorrow too! I just told him today that it's better him than me! Of course he can say that to me next month when I go :headache:

Hi Spongie! - Sounds like a productive day...it's always nice when the cleaning is done and you can sit back and enjoy it for the short time it lasts (at least at my house it's short!)

Twink - New maternity clothes sound fun! I had one long sleeve t-shirt that said "Oh Baby" in pretty pink swirly letters, it was my favorite! That's one thing I'll be happy to bring out of retirement when the time comes again!

Hi MommyP  - Glad you are feeling better! Nice plan on the cell phone! They always give the nice stuff to the new customers and the exisitng get nothing!

Hi to everyone else too!!! :wave2:

My finished Mad Lib... (from a Mad Lib site, http://www.madlibs.org/cgi-bin/madlib)

the Twinkie and the diet Pepsi
- Hans Christian Anderson

ONCE upon a time there was a prince who wanted to marry a Twinkie; but she would have to be a real Twinkie. He sashayed all over the world to find one, but nowhere could he get what he wanted. There were Twinkiees enough, but it was difficult to find out whether they were real ones. There was always something about them that was not as it should be. So he came home again and was sad, for he would have liked very much to have a real Twinkie.

One evening a terrible storm came on; there was thunder and lightning, and the rain poured down in torrents. Suddenly a knocking was heard at the city gate, and the old king went to open it.

It was a Twinkie standing out there in front of the gate. But, good gracious! what a sight the rain and the wind had made Her look. The water ran down from Her hair and clothes; it ran down into the toes of Her shoes and out again at the heels. And yet she said that she was a real Twinkie.

"Well, we'll soon find that out," thought the old queen. But she said nothing, went into the bed-room, took all the bedding off the bedstead, and laid a diet Pepsi on the bottom; then she took twenty mattresses and laid them on the diet Pepsi, and then twenty eider-down beds on top of the mattresses.

On this the Twinkie had to lie all night. In the morning she was asked how she had slept.

"Oh, very badly!" said she. "I have scarcely closed my eyes all night. Heaven only knows what was in the bed, but I was lying on something hard, so that I am black and blue all over my body. It's horrible!"

Now they knew that she was a real Twinkie because she had felt the diet Pepsi right through the twenty mattresses and the twenty eider-down beds.

Nobody but a real Twinkie could be as sensitive as that.

So the prince took Her for his Her Royal Majesty, for now he knew that he had a real Twinkie; and the diet Pepsi was put in the museum, where it may still be seen, if no one has stolen it.

There, that is a true story.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

MommyP- Pretty please take a picture of the baby kitties...especially the striped one! I'm glad you're not sick anymore! That is great news.

Twinkie- FUNNY t-shirt ideas! I dare you to wear the vacation one...here's my souvenir (arrow down).

I've spent a goodly amount of time on another site. It's called, get this, Mormonchic.com (discussion forums). HOOO, boy! The nerve! Someone else has MY name! (probably 80% of the members are Utahns...it wasn't too big of a stretch) so I am a different name over there. I'm taking over. ;) I PM'd the other UtahMama and gave her a piece of my mind. Not really, I just shared about THIS site and she got a good chuckle. She said she's my dark side....probably the other way around, sister Utahmama!.

OH! My BIG news!!! (I don't get out much, so it IS big news!) I got my replacement strawberry-Chocolate phone today!!! THAT is a story! You know my previous phone met with an unfortunate watery grave, right? I did NOT have any kind of extended warantee or any additional coverage so being washed in a washing machine was not exactly a manufacturers defect. I was faced with either paying full retail for a new one or going on e-bay for a risky "deal" or quitting Verizon, paying the fee, and switching carriers (still cheaper than having to pay full retail for a replacement phone).

Well.

Using my inherited-madd skills , I got the cute-face discount :scared: (from a BLIND sales manager...) and ended up with a free new phone of equal or lesser value (the same strawberry chocolate phone). Who needs the $5.99 a month (times a 2 year contract $$$$$$$) insurance??? Just nicely mention you'll have to cancel Verizon and go to another carrier for less money than a new phone.... File THAT away ladies, you may accidentally leave your phone in your pocket like I did! I was SO KIDDING on the pretty face discount...it was over the phone! Hope no one thought I was stuck up!

AND.

I just bought a Bagallini Lime Messanger bag:yay: :yay: :yay: ! It'll serve as my purse/diaper bag...Norah is potty trained but still, I have loads of toddler carp to lug. And dietPepsi to sneak.

BIG savings to be had! BagsBuy.com enter code: SAVE10 and you get $10.00 off PLUS if you register you get another 10% off. My $34.95 messenger bag ended up being $19.XX after the free shipping too.

Sigh. I'm all worn out!
oh thanks for the reminder i am on my way to that site..

Oh, I just thought of something I read today in the bi-monthly employee publication.

Bus drivers pick little girls dressed as a princess to be "Princess of the Bus", and radio ahead to the destination, where they prepare a red carpet for her and greet her with balloons and big Mickey hands.

How cute!

Dang, they just had this lobster tail commercial on TV, Dang Red Lobster, it looked soooooo goog!

Alack and alas, I was in non-stop meetings from 9:30-6:30 at work today!!! I snuck a peek here a couple times, but had to do it discreetly. TG tomorrow won't be quite so busy.

Cute maternity clothes stories all you mommies! I had a maternity t-shirt that said Under Construction. I was glad I only had to wear them one time, but maybe the designs are a bit better now than they were 25 years ago ;)

Moo- Jordan (DS18) bought a new dresser and a tv stand and a dvd-shelf. He's downstairs cussing mormon cuss words and trying to assemble it all with the multi-language instructions. I'm silently wishing him luck.

I bought these rainbow colored little kids plates and cups and cutlery. And some kerflugenflugen (I just made that up, funny, eh?) which are these little plastic twist tie clippy thingies for food bags. They were a dollar and the Pampered Chef ones I also have were about $29.99 plus tax and shipping and mystery-surprise-charges totaling $47.50 for a dozen. I exaggerated a tich.

That's all. I say a cool bamboo plant (3 stocks) in a glass vessel with sea-glass that maybe I'll get next time. I like to plan for next time at IKEA. That is one fun store, I tell you what.
I love shopping and eating at IKEA, Uma - but never really buy very much there :confused3 The bamboo plant sounds cool. Did Jordan figure out how to put the new furniture together or is he still cussing away? :rotfl2:

Back from the baseball game. We finally won....:woohoo: 12-8

Marita-- the Bus driver thing is cool idea. We had a nice bus driver when Hannah was dressed as Belle in Aug. He let her get on the bus first and then said she could have any seat she wanted. Then he announced to the rest of the bus that there was royalty on the bus and to give her a hand. She was beaming. Then of course he let her off the bus first at Magic Kingdom.

I am up to nothing tonight. For a change. Been so busy at work, I am looking forward to a day off (mostly, tomorrow). Watching some HGTV show, more or less.

It was a long game and we only got to inning 4. They kept calling time outs tonight and changing pitchers. We should have batted one more time but another team was waiting to play.

I would say there is nothing on tonight. Nicholas is watching Pirate Master. It started last week.

Nab, how about "Next Food star" on food network, at 9 pm. Do you get that?
Or we could always got to chat :)

Nicholas show just ended I will have to go check. I only have listen anyway.

My Food channel has "Unwrapped" on right now.

Wow. That's classy. ;)

TINK!!!!

How you doin' Monique? I miss you sweetie!!!!!!!

Now, come baaaaaack to us, ya hear? At least a leetle bit more oftener.
