Underdog
Good job on the coffee/tea service. I am generally not online in the mornings to partake, and strictly opposed to coffee or tea in the evenings.
I am open to a glass of cognac in the evening though.

I am wayyyyyyyyyy late for bed, have a great day everyone!

Okay U make me Google... But I found you some. Underdog only drinks Guinness.
That's a little known fact.:lmao:

Maybe you can have a snip before night.night?

Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!;)

It's a sleepover at my house! They are actually being quiet! Don't they know they're saposed to be giggling, braiding each other's hair, having a pillow fight in their jammies and talking about cute boys, and playing, "Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board" like I did back-in-the-day? Oh, wait, they're BOYS. Now they're watching CARS. Of course! They are looking mighty sleepy. Sleep is for wussies!

"May tomorrow be the perfect day...
May you find love and (forgot the word) along the way... (mad lib it!)
May God keep you in His tender care...
Till He brings us together a-gain..

GOOD NIGHT everybody!" ((blows kisses and waves)) :wave2:

We would have camp'd out in the back yard... Times are a little different.
Hope they had fun!!!!!

Good Morning!

Not much time this morning...DD got up early  We have to get our butts ready to head out to singalong at 10am! Then off to go swimming for a while...it's supposed to be HOT here today.

Uma - How'd the sleepover turnout? Sounds like they were being too good ;)

Underdog - I have a friend from Ireland that only likes Guinness  He attempted to convert me many times and failed miserably!

Hi to everyone else! Hope you each have a great day!

Morning All.

It is another cold one even though the weather man said it was going be hot. I had to run back and get the kids coats this morning. Trying to rain too.

Betsy-- have fun at singlong and swimming. Enjoy it now because before you know they are all grown up. I miss the mommy and me things.

Underdog-- you were up late last night. Do you work nights?

UMA-- Are the boys still sleeping? I wish I was....:lmao:

Well better get to it. The laundry is calling me. Beds are already stripped so i can't go back to bed.

Four still-asleep boys in askew sleeping bags not in the original positions by a long shot.

So far so good...except for the three daycare buddies due to arrive within the hour. Toddlers are about as easy to keep quiet as the howler monkeys at our Hogle Zoo. Should get interesting :thumbsup2

What's up with the 40's weather? It's pretty cold and rainy and dreary. As rainy as it ever gets, it's never muggy like Florida. It feels clean and fresh out side. Let's name a douche-scent after how fresh it is outside. Ha! Just seeing if you're awake. :ssst: I sort of am. I need a coupla these :drinking1

I'm anxious to see if Jordan stooped to reading his IKEA furniture assembly instructions. I think there was a funny Friends episode about boxed Swedish furniture.

My plans today. My Goals:

1. Finish Laundry and put it away. "Finish" is subjective.
2. Not cheat on my diet (till after I weigh in on friday)
3. Make it stop raining. "I got the pow-wah"....
4. Look busy doing chores
5. Cure my cold/allergies/stiff neck/sore head with much needed rest
6. Anything else I'm forgetting?

Hope everyone is well this fine June day.

thanks for the tea UnderDog! Glad to have it ready for me!

Happy the sleepover went well Uma. Sleepovers can be so much fun...or induce migraines.

I didn't win the powerball last night:(,but did have a couple of numbers witrh the powerball- think I won about $7 :rotfl:

My husband took off last night- I don't know how I'm going to survive on vacation with him next week- his snoring will keep everyone on the ship awake   I'll be needing a nap this afternoon!

Goog morning!!!!!

Wow so much to catch up on and in no particular order...

Soap operas: never watched them, really never so this one time in college I get back to my room for lunch and my roommate uncharacteristically has the tv on. It is a soap. She is sitting and eating and has that look (ya know like she is in a svengali like trance) so I sit and watch too. Soon she is filling me in on all the details cause I, much like Nancy Drew, am trying to figure out what in sam-hill is going on.... then I say

"I have never seen you watch this. How do you keep up?"

she replies

"Oh I haven't watched this since I was in daycare."

Yes sir. A 15 year gap and she was following the plot just fine. It cracked me up. However I did spend years watching ER which is a soap opera IMO.

Beverage service: Thanks Underdog! Add me to the Diet Coke list. I do like coffee and tea but I don't drink either regularily.

Gotta ask, Twinkie- have you found your first maternity piece yet?

Avert your eyes guys! I found all my maternity clothes little blue but here is the deal. My first pregnancy was twins and I was working and didn't wish to announce anything too soon. However I was showing at 10 weeks at by 7 weeks I think I had yaked all over an important meeting narrowly missing the shoes of the boss of my boss. So I wore large non maternity clothes in an effort to fool my co workers. It actually worked with the guys. And then I went straight into maternity clothes of an exceedingly large size. With goldenchild I hardly gained any weight and wasn't showing until almost 6 months. (Of course it was winter then so it easy to wear yoga pants and big sweater to hid your "delicate" condition) I had to buy new maternity clothes size M. I will get a lot of wear of othem but they are still too big today. I did go buy one pair of small maternity pants to wear with regular shirts. IThe other issue is this is the opposite season... I haven't been pregnant in the summer before. I may need a pair of shorts and a bathing suit :scared: :scared: The irony of needing new maternity clothes for your 5th child is not lost on DH. HA!

I would love to mad lab it... but you are supposed to tell us what kind of word... noun, verb, color, name of someone on the thread etc......

What's up with the 40's weather? It's pretty cold and rainy and dreary. As rainy as it ever gets, it's never muggy like Florida. It feels clean and fresh out side.

That is because you live in the mountain desert... not the semi tropical rain forest. I remember when I was in Utah (after living in the Carolinas forever)... I missed the "weight" of the air. I still do here in Kansas. Yesterday was slightly humid and VERY windy. It felt like the beach to me since I have big sky. I miss the trees but I love the horizon. It made me really want a beach trip. Do you believe my little ones have never seen the ocean?????

Ok anyone else I haven't addressed: consider yourself moo-ed at. :thumbsup2

Soaps- it is not necessary to watch on a daily or even annual basis. Every 5-10 years will be just fine. The faces may change, but the names and plots are the same. Babies become adults overnight.:rotfl:

Maternity clothes- I couldn't wait to wear them with our first ,but didn't really need them at 7 months. Our second was born almost one year later so I needed them at about 3 months with the second. and since they were so close, I had the right clothes for the seasons!

Powerball- i want to hit it big and buy my room at the Polynesian.

I remember the first time I ever had to wear maternity clothes. I was getting ready for church and nothing would fit. I was about 5 months along with dd, and I had bought a maternity dress that week, because I knew my time was up. I dreaded it so much! I called my mom and I was
2.gif
"I'm soooo fat!" Dh tried to convince me otherwise, but I wasn't buying it.

Of course hindsight being 20/20 I realize that I barely had a baby bump, but at the time I was very young, and thought I was big as a barn.

By the second, third, and fourth baby, I was embracing my pregnant belly. I came to appreciate how cool it really was to be pregnant.

 gang. How are you guys this morning?

Twinkie - It's technically only your 3rd pregnancy, so it's understandable you need maternity clothes. You remained amazingly skinny with your first DS. ;) You obviously can't wear the same clothes you wore with twins. lol. I have clothes in every shape and size. By about 8 months nothing fits me anymore. My shorts with the big panel are stretched to the max and all my t shirts are too tight and short anymore. None of my church dresses fit except the unattractive ones. I get so huge! With Ethan I hardly gained anything and actually got new size small clothes. Never again will those fit over my hips. lol! I'm saving them for my tiny sister.

Uma - Yeah, why don't Mormons drink coffee?

So I had a exciting morning. Kinky(the stray cat that is now ours, but not if the realtors asks) came up to eat and so I decided to go out and see if I could see or hear her babies. They are about 5 weeks now and I figure they have to be getting around so maybe I can see them in the woods. So I go down to where she always goes into the palmettos and I see her coming to me from the house. I make meowing sounds and thought I heard a faint little meow. Then I saw her go into the palmettos. So I got down on my hands and knees(in the ants!) and crawled down into the burrow. Four little kitten faces greeted me! They are SO precious! Kinky is black so we figured they would probably be all black too. Three are black and one is the prettiest black/grey striped with white. So darling! I called that one as my own. ;) So I got them all out and brought them up to the house in a box. Then I went back for Kinky. They are all in a box on the back porch now. Now I just have to talk Chad into keeping the grey one for me. I also am going to get him to get some litter and a box on the way home so we can try and litter train the one I want to keep so it can be in the house. IF Chad will go for that. ;) Otherwise we'll just have another outside cat.

Then I came inside and showered because it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO hot out. Then I vacuumed the whole house. For the first time in weeks. Chad's did it the last 2 weeks. Now the kids are about to all be locked up and have their mouths taped because they are yelling and screaming at eachother. lol. I can see naps in the future. For all of them.

So that was my day so far. I think I will go lay down and read. After I fix lunch of course.

Good news! I have not felt sick for several days now! I still am having the bad taste and I am still way too tired. But at least that part is passing.

Also, I am sure that this baby is a boy. I am just not thinking anything else this time!

the Twinkie and the diet Pepsi
- Hans Christian Anderson

ONCE upon a time there was a prince who wanted to marry a Twinkie; but she would have to be a real Twinkie. He sashayed all over the world to find one, but nowhere could he get what he wanted. There were Twinkiees enough, but it was difficult to find out whether they were real ones. There was always something about them that was not as it should be. So he came home again and was sad, for he would have liked very much to have a real Twinkie.

One evening a terrible storm came on; there was thunder and lightning, and the rain poured down in torrents. Suddenly a knocking was heard at the city gate, and the old king went to open it.

It was a Twinkie standing out there in front of the gate. But, good gracious! what a sight the rain and the wind had made Her look. The water ran down from Her hair and clothes; it ran down into the toes of Her shoes and out again at the heels. And yet she said that she was a real Twinkie.

"Well, we'll soon find that out," thought the old queen. But she said nothing, went into the bed-room, took all the bedding off the bedstead, and laid a diet Pepsi on the bottom; then she took twenty mattresses and laid them on the diet Pepsi, and then twenty eider-down beds on top of the mattresses.

On this the Twinkie had to lie all night. In the morning she was asked how she had slept.

"Oh, very badly!" said she. "I have scarcely closed my eyes all night. Heaven only knows what was in the bed, but I was lying on something hard, so that I am black and blue all over my body. It's horrible!"

Now they knew that she was a real Twinkie because she had felt the diet Pepsi right through the twenty mattresses and the twenty eider-down beds.

Nobody but a real Twinkie could be as sensitive as that.

So the prince took Her for his Her Royal Majesty, for now he knew that he had a real Twinkie; and the diet Pepsi was put in the museum, where it may still be seen, if no one has stolen it.

There, that is a true story.

UMA -- Love your Twinkie story.

Poly-- I can't even win $7. on any ticket. And with Hubby snoring. You will just have to stay up all night on the cruise. Is there a casino? If it was the Magic I would tell would say hubby could sleep on the deck chairs on deck 4 :rotfl2:

I couldn't wait to show, and wear maternity clothes. I am on the heavier side so I was afraid people wouldn't know I was pregnant.:lmao: Then I got so big people thought I was having twins.

Mommy P -- your kitten you want to keep sounds like Kay's. You will have to take a picture.

It is still pretty breezy out then and not warm. The weather man still insists a heat wave is coming overnight with humidity.

Good day just to stay in a get some house work done.

Hope the rain holds off for our ball game tonight.

just an observation...if i knew what i know now? look at all
the 'babes" lining out for the ice cream man!

...i :yay: want that job! :rolleyes1

can you imagined me covered in :mickeybar with that cute lil'

wows-a-hoot & hers....that's making real magic pixiedust: ?

ps....i save my best for here, :flower3:

I went to town today in my luverly new maternity pants (well technically they are capris). I was comfy and no one said "Hey you! The Chunky One" so we will call it sucessful.;)

Twinkie - It's technically only your 3rd pregnancy, so it's understandable you need maternity clothes.

I'll tell TwinkieDaddy you said so. Teehee!

You remained amazingly skinny with your first DS. ;)

I did! He is still the most expensive however.....

You obviously can't wear the same clothes you wore with twins. lol. I have clothes in every shape and size. By about 8 months nothing fits me anymore.

My mom says that you should go ahead and have the baby when you outgrow your maternity clothes. That was 34 weeks for me with the twins. The extra extra larges didn't fit.
Good news! I have not felt sick for several days now! I still am having the bad taste and I am still way too tired. But at least that part is passing.

Hooray! Goog news!!!!
Also, I am sure that this baby is a boy. I am just not thinking anything else this time!

Poor little Manna. She will have to wear blue and be named Noah-Anne.

[There, that is a true story.

buwhahahahahah!!!! I luf it. But I think you cheated....

I couldn't wait to show, and wear maternity clothes. I am on the heavier side so I was afraid people wouldn't know I was pregnant.:lmao: Then I got so big people thought I was having twins..

Your first pregnancy you never quite believe that you are going to fill out those drawstring maternity pants.... but I know what you mean! I kind of understand all the new maternity clothes that say BABY and then have an arrow to your tummy. Maybe I could start my own line with trendier sayings like

Not Beer

It's Not a Tumor

My DH took me on vacation and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.

Hi ho, hi ho, back to work I go!

Okay U make me Google... But I found you some. Underdog only drinks Guinness.

Thanks, just what the doctor ordered....

Twinkiw, what do you mean, NEW??? I got one of those back in 1978. First time I wore it was to announce it at the family gathering at my house (well, mobile home expando :rolleyes1 ). I came out in it in the middle of the party and my DMIL was ecstatic! We had been married for 9 years at the time.

I wore that shirt all the time in the house and the tummy section was all fuzzy in the end, because I would always have my hand on the baby... (my DS).

MommyP- Pretty please take a picture of the baby kitties...especially the striped one! I'm glad you're not sick anymore! That is great news.

Twinkie- FUNNY t-shirt ideas! I dare you to wear the vacation one...here's my souvenir (arrow down).

I've spent a goodly amount of time on another site. It's called, get this, Mormonchic.com (discussion forums). HOOO, boy! The nerve! Someone else has MY name! (probably 80% of the members are Utahns...it wasn't too big of a stretch) so I am a different name over there. I'm taking over. ;) I PM'd the other UtahMama and gave her a piece of my mind. Not really, I just shared about THIS site and she got a good chuckle. She said she's my dark side....probably the other way around, sister Utahmama!.

OH! My BIG news!!! (I don't get out much, so it IS big news!) I got my replacement strawberry-Chocolate phone today!!! THAT is a story! You know my previous phone met with an unfortunate watery grave, right? I did NOT have any kind of extended warantee or any additional coverage so being washed in a washing machine was not exactly a manufacturers defect. I was faced with either paying full retail for a new one or going on e-bay for a risky "deal" or quitting Verizon, paying the fee, and switching carriers (still cheaper than having to pay full retail for a replacement phone).

Well.

Using my inherited-madd skills , I got the cute-face discount :scared: (from a BLIND sales manager...) and ended up with a free new phone of equal or lesser value (the same strawberry chocolate phone). Who needs the $5.99 a month (times a 2 year contract $$$$$$$) insurance??? Just nicely mention you'll have to cancel Verizon and go to another carrier for less money than a new phone.... File THAT away ladies, you may accidentally leave your phone in your pocket like I did! I was SO KIDDING on the pretty face discount...it was over the phone! Hope no one thought I was stuck up!

AND.

I just bought a Bagallini Lime Messanger bag:yay: :yay: :yay: ! It'll serve as my purse/diaper bag...Norah is potty trained but still, I have loads of toddler carp to lug. And dietPepsi to sneak.

BIG savings to be had! BagsBuy.com enter code: SAVE10 and you get $10.00 off PLUS if you register you get another 10% off. My $34.95 messenger bag ended up being $19.XX after the free shipping too.

Sigh. I'm all worn out!

Wow, Uma, exciting stuff. Congrats on the phone and the bag.

MommyP, MOO Hoo to not being sick anymore.

Speaking of being sick, I have a dentist appointment tomorrow (deep cleaning of one side of my mouth) and I am taking a sick day for it
