We don't discriminate based on age, typing or spelling ability, or really anything in this pasture! And you're definitely not the only oldie (but goodie) here, UnderDog ;)

Uma, thanks for putting in a call to MommyP. I love Craftsman style homes too  There are a few of them in my community, but DH didn't want to live in town, so we have a ranch style home instead.

Nighty night!

GOOD MORNING!

Or at least it would be if I wasn't still suffering from a big patch of poison ivy in the middle of my back. Beats me how I managed to get it there!

Eeek, the spider reappeared :scared1: but I think he ran under a chair in the living room now. I sprayed some stuff under it just in case. I really hate to kill him, but I dont dont want him in bed with me either.

So now that I think he is maybe not nesting in my pillows, I better go to bed.

Night all!

You hate to kill a spider?!! The only good spider is a dead spider! :scared1:

Ok, I finally talked with mommyP! She's fine so we can heave a sigh of relief!
Her health and that of Manna are fine!!!

Moo- ranch style is the most versatile in decorating. You can do whatever with them. There's really no period style to adhere to or achitecture to respect. With art's and crafts, or mission, or tudor, you're limited to style.

Kay- how's the kitty today? How cute he's going through the motions of grooming with his little broken tongue. What a trooper.

Kimmie- what are you up to today? Are your kids out of school yet? Mine are and I'm not quite sure what to DO with them after they sleep in.

Underdog- WELCOME! tell us about yourself!

Morning All,

Went to be right after the Sopranos last night. Only one more to go. I can see it is going to be a blood bath. It was already last night.

Glad to hear Mommy P is fine. Thanks for that update UMA.

Kay -- Ummmm how does one get poision ivy on there back.....;) Does Lowell have it too.

It is pouring out here. We didn't get any rain yesterday but non stop here now. I had to drive the kids to school today because the bus was way early this morning. Didn't want to stand in the rain anyway.

We have baseball tonight. I have a feeling we will not be playing.

I should be cleaning today but the rain day makes me feel blah. And no energy.

Glad to hear MommyP is okay- phew!

Twinkie- hope you get postive news from your realtor!

Marita- any lunch plans today?

Hi everyone!

Poly I don't think I ever saw you on so early before......:lmao:

Is it raining there? Do you have big plans for the day?

 to everybody. So many posts, since I've been here last I wouldn't want to leave anybody out.

I'm glad MommyP and Manna are A-Ok.

Hope everybody has a goog day. The kids and I will be making a trek to the library. Can't let their little brains rot in front of a t.v. all summer. lol

TwinkieWinkie: what an interesting thread. Wow. Thanks for sharing.

I've been on early before, and if I want to get all techie here, well, I've posted at 2 am before. That's also when I'm best at trivia!

It is raining here.Has been for 2 days, but we really need it. Of course the rain puts a crimp in lawn boy's gardening plans. He's in the midst of transplant prep and it is turning into a muddy mess that the pup just loves!

My plans- I'm going to run to the store and get some items to prepare for the girls while we're on our cruise next week. They want to have dinner with my mom most nights and I think I'll make some lasagna and barbeque chicken for them and freeze it.
I also need to take the youngest to the bank- the manager showed me the credit report that came up last week and all the info on my girl's report belongs to the perp ( like that ?- I watch CSI!) He wants a copy of the police report.
Then I need to let the attorney in on my latest detective work.
And saving the worst for last- laundry!
My husband is going into work early tonight so I may take the girls to a movie.

what are your plans Nab?

I'm so glad to hear nothing is wrong with MommyP. She must have been surprised to hear from one of her "imaginary internet friends" by phone!

Tornado is nearly 100% better. We got our miracle. The vet is going to be stunned. He can eat and drink now. It is amazing. He can even lick himself. The neurologist at Cornell U said it would take at least 30 - 60 days for the nerve to regenerate, if it happened at all. We are so thankful that "our little friend" is going to be OK.

Kay -- Ummmm how does one get poision ivy on there back.....;) Does Lowell have it too.

Hmmm. I can see where you would get that idea, but no, Lowell doesn't have any poison ivy. :rotfl2: The only thing I can figure is that when we were off the trails in our woods looking for Tornado, I must have brushed up against something that had the poison ivy on it. It had to go right through my T-shirt, though, which is quite surprising.

I have got to get to work now. I have gotten almost nothing done so far today and the Brass will have my head if I don't get busy!

All you night owls....2 am.

Not much planned.

Like I said I should be cleaning my house today. It is a wreck since we have been gone all weekend. My kids had friends in the house during the sale and didn't put stuff away. I usually don't leave the house in such a state but we had to run right after and I was too tired last night to start.

I too have to do laundry. It seems to double when you go away.

Your trip is so close now. Only problem going away now is that you are probably wearing the clothes you want to pack. In the winter shorts etc. can be packed early.

I checked out that thread too Twinkie. What a difference indeed.

Hi Babynurse-:wave2:

Nab,

I'm a last minute packer,so I'm sure that's what I'll be doing on Sunday morning :lmao: :lmao:

hi Kay ! did you go to the doctor's for the poison ivy? ( I may have missed that somewhere along the line). Steroids work wonders.

I am SO sorry I went MIA. I have never felt this horrible being pregnant! I am SO tired all the time. I've never been so tired and I have no energy. At all. I was feeling disconnected from everyone for some reason and I just didn't feel like coming online. I should have PM'd you all and let you know I was okay but away. I hope I start to feel better soon. Feeling like this just makes you depressed.

Plus we've had some financial setbacks. The truck was making a weird noise, and was due to have the tranmission flushed. So DH went and had it done, it cost over $130. THEN it was still making the noise. My BIL said it sounded like the rear end going out, which would run us around 1200. Chad went to have the tires rotated and balanced(free since we purchased the plan when we bought the tires) and they said that both the left and right front ball joints were bad. One about to go the other going. I have no idea how much that costs. Then yesterday afternoon the transmission went out. Hopefully the rear end wasn't that but the transmission. But the transmission itself will probably be several thousand dollars. Which of course we don't have. So all the vacation money will go towards it and the rest on a dreaded credit card. Which stresses me out. The $400 I make a month for Ivy will thankfully pay for it quickly, as long as nothing else happens. So our trip is not going to happen. Chad wants to still go and put all the repairs on a card and pay it off with half the Ivy money, using the other half for the rest of the trip not saved for yet. But I have to be the responsible one. We just need to get it all paid off. If we can then our whole tax return is ours to do what we want with(unless something else breaks down). We can always go next year. I am however going to ask him about just going for one night(staying off site) and going to MNSSHP so we can have that fun and I can meet everyone. What a bummer when we worked so hard to save for this trip. Of course the stupid truck has to be falling apart. I'm not canceling it until the last minute, I have until August. You never know what could happen. If the Lord wants us to go He can provide the money for everything.

On a high note the insurance option that we chose was chosen. We will have higher co-pays and are responsible for 20% after the co-pay, but at least it's a normal policy and the pregnacy will be covered. We can always pay off the hospital bills a little at a time. Hopefully I'll still get medicaid so it won't be an problem. Since I don't know how I can come up with the $1000 deductible by 28 weeks now.

God has worked out our insurance problems with the kids, and now with us. So I know He is big enough to work out the truck problems. Just maybe not how I want Him too.

I can't believe how many pages have flown by. What happened? I can't say when or if I will be able to go back and see. So if someone could PM me a summery that would be wonderful. :flower3:

Hi Kay! It's nice to see you. We've missed you!

I decided I need a cup of hot chocolate. For a minute I wondered if it was weird to drink hot chocolate in the Summer, but decided it was fine. We eat ice cream in the Winter. I am glad I worked that all out.

Haley, my dear, you crack me up!

marita - are you planning on selling sometime soon?

betsy - good luck on the job!
Marita and betsy - I'm the opposite - I'm all ready to get the new and improved version.
Although I was a bit peeved at Tammy last year -
back in 03 when I started programming classes, I did lots of research and bought a toshiba laptop - pretty much the best at the time. I spent 3 grand on it (school loans that I'm still paying for) and it definitely was my baby -
Once I got a laptop for work, I let her have my old one.
Then she decides last september that she wants to take the laptop with her. It's HUGE and we don't have a padded bag for it. She puts it in an unpadded bag and we give it to "bell services" on our first day there.
Needless to say, the screen did not survive. So now she's using it like a desktop.
Then she said a week or two ago that she wants to buy a new one.
Ummm. No. Not til that one dies.
Sorry for all the rambling!

Marita again - sorry about the spider, but it was funny to read! :rotfl2: And nice and safe since it was so far away from me.

Kimmie - HUH? on the cat stuck in the hope chest?

poly and underdog- blah blah blah! Ha. Just kidding. Anytime there are sports involved, I just skim the post, so if something important needs to be said, y'all better bold it!

And if you don't like my random stuff, feel free to skim it! That's the beauty of this place. Part diary, part chat room.

twinks - I'm sending good thoughts your way! :goodvibes :wizard:

Utah - thank goodness about mommyp! Thanks for letting us know.

poly - Yay on the cruise! and on the CSI stuff. I remember one time when my parents house was broken in to - I was SOOO MAD! because the perps had tried to get the tv out and couldn't figure out how to unhook it - they left their fingerprints all over the screen! I could see them! and the stupid cops wouldn't fingerprint it!
ARGH!
I was a detective story freak even back then, but now with CSI and law and order on all the time, I know everything! ;)

MommyP - Everything will work out. God is good. I'm just glad that you and manna are ok, even if you do feel yucky! And don't feel guilty, we were just worried because we care.

Mommy P -- Glad you and the baby are fine. Wish the truck was fine too. But your right put your trust in God. And you got your coverage for your pregnancy  I thought maybe that was still stressing you out.

Celery -- I am with you I don't want any sports other then my kid's baseball game.

Speaking of which Babynurse you can brag all you want about your kids sports. Or vent. Never did the t-ball, we went right to 4 pitch. This is only his fourth year playing.

Tonight is going to be muddy if we play. It stopped raining but still pretty cloudy. Tonight is swimming and ball again.

I think Hell's Kitchen starts tonight too.

well I just heard from the realtor

long story short the buyer has no cash, was going to finance 100% and we were paying his closing costs

house didn't appraise anywhere near what we were expecting

but very close to the negotiated price however not close enough

the buyer doesn't want to back out but can only get financing to the appraised value, and there is no blood in the turnip

so our choices are
a) take the additional loss, close on schedule
b) release the contract, he goes and buys something cheaper, we put the house back on the market.... this also incurs a $ loss for us- the home inspection on the new home, rental truck, turning utilities back on, storage unit and we lose the new house

there is no door number three

bleah.

Hugs to MommyP. Pregnancy and financial woes are not a goog combo.

The bright side is I don't have to cancel a trip since I don't have one planned anyway.
