Hi alice!

Nab - glad the garage sale was a success. I'm so proud of you for trying all the slides! Woo hoo! Way to go!

It was a lot of work going up and down all those darn stairs though. Kids ran way ahead. I felt old and out of shape.

I have a bruise on both knees I think from hitting the raft handles trying to get out.:lmao:

Mooo hooty to Lil'g:dance3: :cool1: :yay:

Mooo hoooty UMA on 4600 posts!!!!!  :yay:

Welcome Underdog !!!!:cheer2: Hope you stick around.

Haley -- awesome pictures. Looked like a lot of fun. I am water logged from this weekend.

Pumba-- Ouch to you grandsons broken ankle. If I was his mom I would be hiding that skateboard.

Little Blue-- did you post pictures. I keep missing them if you did. Hope T.J doesn't get gas a lot.

Twinkie-- everything has a way of working out , hope it really does in this case.

UMA-- hope you are relaxing after your big party. Loved the tender moment. Looking forward to them with mine.

Goog to see you, Celery!

Still no MommyP. Hope she's just having a busy weekend too.

Hi, Kelly!! :dance3:

Nab, you did great on your garage sale. My friend was disappointed in hers. She had a bunch of looky-loos, but NO buyers! She was depressed last night because she was hoping for some spending money for her upcoming Disney trip. So now she's trying to figure out a different way to make some money on the side :sad2:

:cheer2: BRAVOOOOOOOO for going on the water slides!!!!!!!!!!!!

Howdy All! I'm here....but I'm not going to read back to learn what all is going on....Even though I'm really curious.

Hi Kelly, Nab and Celery!

Nice to see you all again. I finally took a shower and had I think the shortest nap in history (at least it feels like it!)

Nab, glad you had a good day, guess you won't be around tonight, LOL.

I need some dinner now. Oh, what to get????

very creative with the picture :goodvibes

I thought there was a real tornadoe, not a dog named Tornado. Tornadoes usually don't have tongues. (Tell me a joke and I might understand it and laugh a week later). Glad your pooch is feeling better, I'm sure the vet will be impressed at his/her improvement :goodvibes :woohoo: :yay:

HI underdog!

I just ran out of time to post ya'll, my meter is at zero. gotta go!

HI, Tornado is a cat, and he is a little whirlwind unless he's sick, so the name really suits him. :)

I am back and very tired. As are my kids.

It was a busy weekend.

I made $201.46 at our yard sale. It would have been $220.46 but Nicholas lost a $20.00 bill. He sold his old bike and couldn't find the money at the end. He had in his pocket. Most of it was from Hannah's clothes and a lot of small McDonald's toys believe it or not. 3 for a quarter. And I even gave some away to little kids that really wanted them but the mother said wait and we will come back. The faces of the kids was priceless.

Then we were off to Great Wolfe Lodge. We are kicking ourselves because we forgot the camera. Hubby teased me in the car there that I probably wouldn't even get my suit wet. I showed him... I went on all the slides at least once.

Now you must know that I can not swim. The first slide my son got me on was ok until the end. You are on a tube. Well the tube turned over , to a non swimmer that is the scariest thing. A few seconds seemed like an eternity.

I didn't mind the ones you went down in rafts though. I will skip anything with tubes. Then before we left Nicholas took my hand and said there was one I wasn't on that , you guessed needed a tube. Any way I tried it so I could say I did all of them. Well wouldn't you know it we got turned around some how and went down backwards. I did do the tubes down the lazy river because I could stand up in that water, mind you I needed help out of the darn thing....:lmao:

I am sure we will do it again. When we win the lottery....:rotfl2:

Kay-- we were so close again yesterday. You were on the other side of the falls.

It sounds like you had a great time!!! And you weren't wearing your parks on the slides! Yes, we were really within a few miles of each other this time. One of these days we'll connect for a mini-Dis Meet.

What? You're not going to go back and read all of our witty repartee?!!

Here is a summary post that I did a ways back:

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=18971589&postcount=2115

You really should take the time to go back to read about Uma's son's graduation and to see Haley's non-trip report of her family's visit to Sea World in San Antonio. :thumbsup2

I have never seen so many people as we had this year at the yard sale. I think that is why we did so well. Probably could have done better if we didnt' stop at noon. But we had to get moving. Got to the Lodge at 4:00 just in time to check in.

Kay -- where was the meet held? I saw it on the board they just said Niagara Falls.

DING DING DING - THE FINAL EPISODE HAS BEEN POSTED!

The novella trip report is finally over. Honest! Promise. ;)

The final ding Dings! That's the saddest part. :happytv:

Oh, the robot thing, I keep forgetting about it. I really want the floor scrubber one for the kitchen. I can handle vacuuming the living room (sort of, I have a purple DYSON! if only it propelled itself!)

Or better yet, a MAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My birthday is coming up, I will ask for kitchen floor cleaning robot, yea, that's it!!!!!!!!!

I decided today that we need to spruce up the house before we have to sell it and enjoy the fruits of that labor. Why wait and do it until we have to sell? I am thinking first new shower in the bathroom (granite or something, it needs it), then perhaps a new countertops in the kitchen (we bought this house in '81, so it's kind of worn out). ANd need a new sink in the guest bathroom. I looked at Home Depot and Loewes sites tonight, but didnt really see anything that sparked my interest. Although that could be due to the fact I can;'t see much anymore. I have to make an appointment this week and get some prescription reading glasses, the drugstore kind isnt cutting it anymore (I am getting old... )

DH didn't sound all that enarmoured with my plans though.....

WOO HOO - Thanks for the DING, Kay!!! So sorry to see your trip story ending though. I sure hope you continue stopping by. We have to hear how Tornado is doing.

Marita - Wasn't your family supposed to get you the floor gizmo for Mothers Day? You don't want THAT for your birthday!!! :scared1:

And I have found that the easiest way to get things done around the house is to let my DH know that I've contacted a contractor. If it is something he can do, the threat of paying someone else to do it will often spur him to get it done ;)

our daughter got her counter at Home Depot I think .....it had to be a special order....so as to look in the books......it is beautiful.....hubby helped put it in a few weeks ago....
Today we drove to Richettas and had a pizza buffet......OMG it was totally awesome....brick oven cooked and with wood......I looked inside......first they have home rigatoni and chicken with brocolli.......that is just pasta....and a pasta cold salad.....a chicken soup that was in a tomato base.......and then ceasar salad and regular salad.....with whole anchovies.....I thought I was in heaven.......then ten types of pizza and they were great......brushetta with a salsa type topping and cheese........and then for dessert there was fresh fruit......apple pizza and blueberry pizza and canoli with chocolate drizzled and some plain.......what a wonderful meal.....
Our son and dil gave me a gift certificate to Disney world.......I think that and the air gift certificates.......the kids are telling us something........and then from our daughter I got gc to a seafood store..........I bought lobsters and clams last year ....YUMMY.....

so they all just left and I am putting my feet up......I am tired actually....
have a good night.......raining still here in Maine.....
good job on your yard sale ......and good going to the rest of the crew

Marita -- Hubby is going to say you are watching to many shows like Flip this House or House Hunters.:lmao: I love them too!!

But I hear you I would love to get more done around here. We have the paint for the hall but it isn't getting on there to fast.

I have to go check to see if Soprano's is on tonight it wasn't on last week. There is only two shows left and it will be done.

Hi guys!

Sounds like you had a great day Nab!

It is raining here. What is up with that? I decided I need a cup of hot chocolate. For a minute I wondered if it was weird to drink hot chocolate in the Summer, but decided it was fine. We eat ice cream in the Winter. I am glad I worked that all out.

Kay I am way behind on the TR, but working on it.

That was a MAGICAL final episode, Kay!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for sharing your travels with us.

Haley, it's still raining here too. Must be a pretty widespread weather pattern if it is raining in Texas, Michigan, and Maine!
rain.gif

That sounds like a yummy dinner, Pumba! We just made a Schwan's pizza. It was pretty good. That reminds me, the Schwan's guy will be here tomorrow night.

Where the heck is the rain for Florida???????????

Don't the weather gods know we have wildfires here? It was supposed to rain yesterday when I was safely home. HAH! No soup for you, the weathergods said.

Instead it will probably rain tomorrow, causing widespread accidents and awful backups. I feel a sickday coming on (why dont I actually ever act on actually taking one?) Oh yeah, Hubby is home, for one :rotfl: He is hobbling along on ONE crutch now, it's progress!
And my second assistant I neither need nor want is starting tomorrow, so I better make an appearance. DRATS!!

Hi Everyone :wave2:

Sorry I've been MIA lately. I am anxiously awaiting an interview tomorrow for a position where I would work from home doing tech support. In my Pre-DD life, I was a PC Technician/Security Analyst and I loved it! I just didn't want to put DD into daycare so I had to quit. Anywho...I was watching Good Morning America and they had a segment on this company that hires a lot of people (especially Mommies) to work from home and do different technical support for different companies. I really hope it works out!

I've only been able to read back a page or two...I'll try to catch up more later.

Hi Celery and Kelly  Long time no see!

Marita - I love remodeling. We are just now thinking about redoing our master bathroom and I'm so excited!

Twinkie - I hope you're doing ok! Keep the stress levels low for little Grasshopper!

NAB - Glad the sale went well! I would love to have one but I am too lazy to prepare for it!

Hello to everyone else! Hope you are having a nice Sunday evening! I'm Dis'ing and watching the Sopranos. It's raining outside and ugly!

Hey Betsy, good to see you again! Goog luck with the work from home job! I need me a good pc support person, LOL, they have me locked down tight here with work-ownn laptop (but luckily I got what I need, thanks to the non-approved help of a nice tech man) it just feels so constraining) Once this one dies, I am getting my own, non-company owned one! Im actually in the planning stages to buy one, to preempt the panick of the day this one bites the dust! Ok, I have no life, it's my lifeline, sad but true! To both work and friends.
