Seriously, Uma - I hope everything goes well at the graduation party tomorrow. TG for digital cameras nowadays. I took a bunch of photos at my daughter's graduation party back in 2000 before I realized that I had NO FILM IN THE CAMERA!!!!! Arrrrghhhhh! Fortunately, I realized it in time to get a few good shots and other people shared some of their pics with me. I was so traumatized, though, that I still have not scrapbooked my DD's graduation.

Ok, WHEW, ex-DH just left! He was a smidgen intoxicated. His current DW (My goog friend) told me he was SOOOO nervous to see me again.

Which is the sort of effect I was aiming for, naturally. . Heh-heh. I skeered him!!! It really was only awkward for the first few minutes. Then I of course made them comfortable. "Them" as in Jordan's WHOLE daddy's side plus the new wife's WHOLE family. It went well. I'm much relieved.

Hi everybody! Well, I haven't stopped by since page one but I had a gift for Utah Mama and figured this was her best address.

We went to Holiday World, a theme park and water park in Santa Claus, Indiana, last weekend for our second annual pilgrimage with four families from our street. This place is famous for world-class wooden coasters, a huge water park with terrific slides and, as their ads will tell you, FREE UNLIMITED SOFT DRINKS (and sunscreen). They are all Pepsi products at open kiosks throughout the park.

As I stepped up to refill for the 27th time of the day, I again thought of Wendy:

It is a long way from Utah but I hope you get to experience this thrill someday!!

Hey, Jami - Exactly what kind of kamikazes was your DS7 drinking?

This is what I think of:

Kamikaze
In Japanese it means "divine wind". This wind will knock you on your keester!

1 1/2 oz. Vodka
1/4 oz. Triple Sec
1/4 oz. Roses Lime Juice

Straight up or shot - use a mixing glass with ice. Mix ingredients well to chill. Strain into a cocktail or shot glass.
On the rocks - build in a rocks glass with ice.

All the crepe paper graduation decorations are hung. All the Congratulatory balloons are bought. Film (memory card) is ready. Food is ready. It's ALL goog.

This is funny. We got Jordan a laptop for his graduation gift. A starter-ish one but plenty good enough (to download his tunes) and it's all wrapped and sitting here on the bar. He was SO excited when he saw the size and shape and heft of the box. I said, "Look, sweetie, I hope you wont be too bummed if it's snot a laptop like you wanted. Really, they are soooo expensive. So, I hope you wont be too disappointed..." That flipping GOOD kid said, "It's ok mom" Isn't he the greatest? Now I feel bad punking him. Not really. Untill tomorrow!

Remind me to pick up the cake at Costco (the family bakery). Other than that, we're all set.

What does everyone have going on this weekend? I have 8 days till we load the truck. I am overwhelmed at everything left to do. Technical difficulites were resolved but I spent ALL evening trying to print out some papers I had to sign and send back TODAY. Why procrastinate Twinkie? Cause the realtor sent them to me yesterday at 6 pm. Print out large adobe file, sign 39 times, return to Big City with DH. Shouldn't be hard right?

WRONG. Murphy's law took effect and I was posting last night from a former student's apartment while on the phone with my DH trying to get the stupid file to forward to another email act because my stupid email will not allow you to see something on the web if you have already opened in outlook.

It took hours.

Argh.
