1. Thanks, Moo! I LOVE Scrabble! Unfortunately, DH wants nothing to do with board games (he spells 'em "bored" games ), and the Disney Edition of Scrabble Junior just doesnt' do it for me.

2. My guess is that there'll be a snack cake in her name. Ya think?

1. NONE of my family members will play me. I did sucker my DD into a couple games on Scrabulous before she said ACK! My sis only lasted for one game.

Some Christmas letter thoughts . . .

This was a year of many milestones for the Twinkie clan. We made a move from the prairie to the big city, then we had no sooner gotten settled in when baby Gabriel was welcomed by us and his brothers, sisters, and extended family on (date). Yada yada about DH's new job being the reason for the move . . . and so on!

GOOG MORNING! (no sunshine here)

Sorry I wasn't around more yesterday. I spent most of the afternoon yesterday trying to get my webcam working. I think I've figured out the video part....no audio yet.

So today is the day we are supposed to get back in the routine....kids back to school, me back to work, back to healthy eating, etc. Welp, it snowed about 3 flakes last night and they've called off school. Which means church will be called off tonight, etc, etc.

Which is probably goog since DS fell asleep in my bed last night and knocked a glass off the bedside table at 3:30 a.m. with a HUGE crash. At 4:00a.m. he woke up and had wet my bed. So. Basically I've been awake for some time.

Lynette....Loved the poem! That's my wish too!

Sandy....Loved the quote from Walt.

Twink....Write the letter! Send it out as a New Year's letter.

Moo, Cel, Monica.....Gotta get back over and check out the Scrabble!

guess what ........NO SCHOOL on their first day back after Christmas Break.......sooooooo two rug rats are on their way to my house......I almost slept in but didnt quite make it......we got quite a bit of snow ......went out a few minutes ago and took photos of the WHITENESS of it and how pretty it looks with a dalmatian going potty in it......

I have to admit this is pretty snow......but you know what happens besides the yellow snow it gets dirty from cars and smooshing from the city trucks putting salt down....... cant win I guess......but it is COLD .....

I'm hoping to get a 5 day pass to run on a Treadmill!

I used mine yesterday and I did run for about 6 minutes (not all at once) and I thought to myself, Sandy is doing a half marathon and I can't run for more that 1 1/2 minutes at a time. I am sooooo out of shape. I do want to run a 5K. My body is hurting today.

Cel- You might could return your broken Pooh to Hallmark and get a new one. I had one of the hangers on my snowglobes break, and they (the girls at the hallmark store) gave me a number to call, and I mailed my broken one, and they sent me a new one. It was a year old too, and they still had one. Give it a try.

I just finished! I had to quit DISing 'cause I wasn't gettin' much done. Plus DD said, "Mom, no more computer until you get all these ornaments in their boxes." Wonder where she's heard that reasoning before?

marita - Sandy and I have a few meets set up, and we would LOVE to have you along. Right Sandy?

Yep! With my DD (9) who keeps whining the whole way while we are training. We are with Sandy hoping not to get swept! Even if we do, we are still in Disney having some mom/daughter bonding time.

OMG (did you know that means WOW!! Its not anything to do with Christ!! Honest, they did a whole news segment on it!! ) ITS COLD OUTSIDE!! Below ZERO cold - no way am I running in that, I will freeze my nuunuus off (that's a technical word used here all the time, altho maybe only men have nuu nuus!!!)

I'm using DS laptop, dh took his mac... dd wants the laptop, she sat her for a few moments stomped off and slammed the door - that's the way to get what you want right???

School doesnt start until the 7th... I may have to kill her... or go running!!

Marita I do hope we can meet up with you and Allie - I'm working on a spreadsheet - right now it may depend on if dh can give blood and earn another $100 for tickets!! Its either tickets or food, and dh is leaning toward tickets!! Bless him!! He really loves me!

Allie no way are you and your dd going to get swept - You wont even come close to coming in last!! Just hang in there, and keep moving - when you slow down to a walk, set your timer and only walk for 2 min then start jogging again, just for 3 min... and you'll both do great!!

I have Charles on the event/competition thread giving me the best advice!! He's given me a mile by mile layout, and knowing I did 8 miles in 2 hours, he says I just have to make it to mile 10 (at my 15 min mile pace) and I'll be in like flint even if I have to walk the rest of the way!! LUV the DIS!!

Well, I need to shower, and dig out my Irish WARM sweater!!

Monica dont you dare give up on you!! Make it to 5 min - come on - get back on that blasted thing, just do 5 min!!

Who has a webcam? DS and his gf both got them for each other for gifts... and dh's laptop mac has one built in!! Not that I know how to use them!!

Hi everyone. So far, my day is not going well. I am biting my tongue so that I don't tell Crazybossman what a dolt he is. He neglected to call in the payroll hours, so we are not getting paid today. Uh, yeah. That's okay.....I work for the sheer enjoyment, y'know. He also neglected to put in a service call for one of the computers (it's been acting up since last Thursday), so we almost had a fire this morning in the office! Very nice.

Deep down, he is a really nice guy. But I sometimes get to the point that I have all I can do not to whomp him upside his head! And my co-workers all feel the same way. God, grant me patience......


Sandy, it's not too bad here at the moment (although it did snow a bit during my commute this morning). The temp is supposed to drop drastically by the evening commute, and then it's supposed to remain cold (in the single digits!) for the next 3 or 4 days. Good thing I have a heating oil delivery scheduled for today, or we'd be freezing our giblets by the weekend!
