MOOvin' Along - Goog Times, Goog Friends . . . Part 3

Morning all,

Mommy P -- we go down hills at the park in boxes sometimes too but we have nice slippery snow to go with it.

Neither Hannah or Nicholas wanted to come out. I was two weeks overdue with Nicholas. They stayed up high and never dropped at all.

Lexi -- we are having the same weather as you only we were at 32 again this morning.

I just bought Hannah her boots yesterday so we are good to go if I wake up to snow one morning. It was cute because she had to put the whole outfit on to see how it matched. Both kids got new winter stuff this year because they out grow them.

Off to see the riddle....not necessarily do the riddle.:lmao:

I replied "You got me into this mess, the least you can do is try to get me out of it."

Classic. I love it.

The state fair ladies were crazy. When I hit 37 weeks with Goldenchild I started roaming the Sam's Club for hours as it was air conditioned. I would be at the State Fair too if I was overdue. Of course with the twins I just looked overdue so I got my far share of WThelk comments. My favorite was the business man in a suit who got OUT of an elevator after riding one floor with me because he was afraid I would have the baby IN the elevator. The look on his face was priceless.

babyNURSE said:
WE? Doesn't he mean YOU? Don't get me started. lol
I am sure I will be doing all the work. But if he is there AND awake I am happy. The man said I wasn't to be sent home from the hospital so I can handle the "we" are having a baby and "fa...ar along" comments. :rotfl:

Glad to hear you did great at "bollyball" as my kids call it.

Twinkie
- Cheesecake? Never heard of that. lol. I actually walk around in early labor for weeks it seems. Which is why I am so uncomfortable at the end. I'll take it though if it means getting to the hospital and having the baby 10 minutes later. That's just the way I like it. ;)

Yes. My mom was 8 days overdue with my little sister. After being sent home from doctor with the news that there were NO signs of any baby in the near future she says she went home and ate an entire cheesecake.

My sister was born, drug free, a few hours later.

Wow! 10 minutes at the hospital would kind of scare me. I don't want to hang out all day but 10 minutes... wow.

I had both twins within 2 hrs of arriving at the hospital. There was much scurrying to get everyone who needed to be there and an empty OR because it happened so fast.

With Goldenchild I spent most of labor at the hospital. In retrospect, I kinda wish I had gone to Walmart for the first half but I was high risk for cord prolapse so it was the right choice to listen to the bossy babynurses who made me lay down the whole time. The DH and the doc slept through everything but the finale. The babynurse was awesome! She handed out sympathy and jokes and icechips. What more could a girl want? well maybe a diet coke

No time to post a lot - giotta take tammy to the dr.
just wanted to say that you crack me up, mommyp!!!!!
especially about the huge garage bathroom!
thank you for the floor plans.
I love them!
are you going to have a garden tub like it shows in the master bath?
what are your plans for the great room?
I want a lanai!

Hey to everybody else. I'll be back in an hour or so to post more!

(twinkie - eat cheesecake, run up some hills then do that winking thing mommyp keeps talking about)

Crap, I hate when cows fall on my mini-van while vacationing with my spouse...

But why did they decline an on-camera interview? Perhaps it twasn't a "spouse"?

AND, I highly recommend the stomach flu diet. It works! :sad2:

Good hump day to all! Off to riddle!

Celery - There are 2 "great rooms" however, neither of them is "great". All of our furniture wouldn't fit into just one of them rooms. So for the back room we are going to put the couch and chair and TV in there. The front room will get the love seat, and an end table. One day we will get a couple more chairs or something to go in there and a closed off TV cabinet plus TV. So we have a place to send the boys and a place for ourselves. That's the plan anyway. Who knows what might really happen?

And yes I will have a garden tun like on the plans. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I've been Ms. Lurkeypants again, but had to post. That is why I LOVE your TR's UMA! You don't leave anyone out, and you are always funny with your responses as you are with the report itself. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

sorry your  again. Hey look at the bright side, it will help produce pretty numbers come Friday. :cool2:

Twinkie - I tried MP's method with DD and I was in labor within 6 hours and had her within 8 :scared1: so be prepared if you try that method. :rolleyes1

Now on with your regular posting....

Pretty numbers already! Now if only they'll stay pretty (which is my problem).

Thanks so much, Lurkypants!

Twinkie- I remember a news story here in UT that claimed this burrito from a local Mexican food place induced labor...Maybe you can eat one or two while hiking up hills with you kids?

Should I walk to Utah to get the local Mexican burrito?

Anyways- I forgot to say yesterday... I LOVED the Pilgrim name ideas:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Miles Standish Montessori also sounds good.

What was the name of the first kid born at Plymouth?
I guess I will have to go google.

The very first pilgrim baby was born to Stephen and Elizabeth Hopkins who named their son Oceanus because he was born at sea.

Now there's a name!

Like Americus.

You can go on a cruise and eat burritos?

Speaking of pilgrims, there is a roller coaster called The Voyage. It's in Thanksgiving land at Holiday World/Splashin Safari. I bet if you rode that, it would send you into labor, Twink.

DTD: I can't recall, did you say you rode that or not on your last trip?

Americus....hmmmm, thinking, retrieving a memory. Isn't that from a movie with Natalie Portman and she named her baby that? If not, ignore that last sentence. thanks.

I wanna remember!

what was it?

elizabeth something or other?
Man.

I await your google.

Oh yeah. I'm back from the doctor. He said tammy is FINALLY starting to heal. thank goodness. She's still way behind where she should be, but her ear is going in the right direction.

Thanks to all for the sympathy on her stupid job.
we'll get through it.
somehow. :)

Me being gone next week will help. I won't have to think about it and she'll be a workaholic cuz I'm not there.

Around here, the legend is eggplant parmesan makes you go into labor.

Yes babynurse- Americus is from "Where the Heart is" with Natalie Portman

Of course my favorite character is the babynurse friend who named all her kids after snack foods:lmao:

I hope you didn't wash them off! I think you would feel underdressed if you were not sporting several tattoos at court. Or do you have really really baggy pants 44 sizes too big covered in zippers? Those would be appropriate court wear. The extra zippers will set off the alarms on the metal detectors and is a good way to meet the nice security guards.
You know, one might think you were out to foil me, but really these are just practical suggestions. My right hand does still resemble the word Boo. Dang thing won't come off. I need rubbing alcohol. It should have been a clue to me that they weren't going to come off easily when I bathed the children last night and couldn't get them off their stomachs.
Oh, and I would have worn those pants if the security guards had been hotT. But they weren't.

1. I think the shorter list would be what HAVEN'T you done to me?

2. Btw, I did really well at volleyball. Thankyouverymuch (PJ!!!) We played 6 matches. AND I spiked it on a b-o-y. so there, PJ!!!!!:snooty:
1. Let's see.... I HAVEN'T ever annoyed you, embarssed you, or made a spectacle out of you. And that's just the beginning of this list. Shall I keep going?

2. I never doubted you. :rolleyes1

I'm glad we're discussing "Where the Heart Is" as that may possibly be my favorite book. Ever. Love it. The movie is goog too, but you have to read the book.

The insurance representative didn't show up at court this morning. So now we have a date set for trial. I don't really understand the details of everything nor did my friend's lawyer at all explain them to us. We left feeling rather confused. Since there was no trial this morning we went out to breakfast and got manicures. I figured since I was already taking the morning off and it was pretty much shot there was no point in going into school then!

I do need to scoot off to school now though. Bye. :wave2:

Hiya MOOvers...just checking in to say hey to everyone.

Twink, I agree w/PJ: Twinkessori Montessori has a certain ring to it. But then again, Miles Standish Montessori has value as well. How about something that pays homage to the baby's Italian heritage? Amerigo Montessori, maybe? (you know, like Amerigo Vespucci?) Or Nunzio Montessori?

FYI, the winking thing didn't work for me either. Neither did walking, or eating spicy foods. DD was 4 days late (felt like 4 months from my standpoint). I would have done just about anything to get the ball rolling, but she just waited until she was good and ready. Let's hope Grasshopper takes a more proactive approach to things.

LilL, I loved that book too. Don't think the movie was nearly as good. Just saying.

wherre the heart is IS a good book.
uplifting and depressing all at the same time.
kinda like real life.
and natalie portman's character is just too cute for words.
a little naive at first, but her journey is really interesting.
I DO NOT LIKE THE CHILD MOLESTATION PART THOUGH!
very bad.
very very bad.

also recommended:
A thousand acres
a map of the world.

both very bad.
very very bad.
and stick with you.
or at least me.
:sad2:

y'all read them so you can be in hell with me.
I read a thousand acres in high school and it still haunts me.
and that was 13 or 14 years ago.

Cel, I also really loved The Lovely Bones...so haunting.

I have been trying to read more these days, but every time I sit down with a book, my attention is diverted by someone's homework/laundry/Pokemon/Polly Pocket/snack crisis. It's tough to be sooooo in demand. KWIM?

I need suggestions for books.
NOT ANYTHING OPRAH WOULD PUT IN HER CLUB!!!
I do not want to be depressed.

I like mysteries.
Particularly funny ones like Janet Evanovich or Sue Grafton or JD Robb.
Any suggestions?
it has to be at my local library too.

lynette - will you buy me a polly pocket for christmas? I want one!
but not a recalled one.
I used to have a polly pocket like ariel - until some stupid brats at my old job came in on a saturday with their mom and lost it.
grrrr.

anyway.
so I've been cold lately in my office so I brought in my black hoodie.
so I've been wearing it all day. with the hood up. and going around and telling people I'm a ninja in honor of my friend twinkie! :rotfl2:
So I had to go to the 5th floor where all the important people are.
so I kept the hoodie on - I just put the hood down.
and whouldn't you know I ran into the founder of the company! ack!
I think I darted out of his line of sight before he saw me though.
hopefully.
cuz y'all know I'm already blackballed for saying crap.
I don't think they'd look too kindly on a ninja in the halls either.

I forgot!!!

DINGDINGDING
go read my trip report. cuz I said.

Celery, my DD has all the Princess Polly Pocket-esque dolls, plus tons of the real ones. I'm always finding tiny rubber Polly dresses in nooks of the playroom. We did have some that were recalled. They mysteriously disappeared one night after the girl was in bed for the night. Heh.

Hmm..I'm sure that your company's Big Cheese really wouldn't appreciate the Una-Bomber look in the halls of his office. Perhaps a hoodie in a less threatening color would be preferable? Or a nice cardigan?

Anyhoo, I read TONS of books. I'll peruse the titles when I get home tonight and see if there are any worth recommending. Off the top of my head, I can definitely recommend the Lucas Davenport "Prey" series by John Sandford (Easy Prey, Invisible Prey, etc.). The main character is a wiseastarstar detective in Minneapolis. Lots of snark and sarcasm in that series. There are about 13+ books in the series, so that'd keep you busy for quite a while.

Our Disney-version Princess polly pocket days are over!

OVER I tell you! Once Norah figured out you can remove the hair from said princesses and started mismatching the scalps and losing the shoes...well, Me and my vacuum can only take so much! Little Polly Pocket shoes whirring around in the Dyson Vortex. Little Snow White with Belle hair! :scared: OVER!

Lynette-- the recalled ones were any with magnets in them. We had to send some back, some did have the magnets lost out of them. Babies and kids were swallowing the tiny magnets. I guess it does a number on your insides if swallowed.

We have a shoe box full of Polly Pockets. It is the little shoes I find everywhere.

Celery-- good call to hide from the founder in your hoody. Do you have a dress code there?
