MOOvin' Along - Goog Times, Goog Friends . . . Part 3

Hello!

I am having a nice productive Monday. Which is always nice. I cleaned the bathrooms this morning, took a laundry soaked wet rag to my "dry clean only king size comforter", partly washed my sheets. And I'm done with school. Which is not to say that they are. I just finished my part. ;)

Now I need to go and fix lunch and make some cookies that I have been craving. They involved crushed Whoppers, which I forgot to buy. Thankfully they had whoppers galore at the Reformation thing on Friday and I got enough(ish) for my cookies. lol

Twinkie - I feel goog. I don't think I've ever felt so great into my third trimester. I am having a day of aches and pains. But other than that. I'm great! How about you?

I am off to fix lunch. I'll let you know how my cookies turn out!

Well Hannah just has the flu. Guess he is seeing a lot of the same complaints. But he really checked her out so that was good.

She is drinking more and throwing it up either....:woohoo: Still has that darn headache. Wish she would try to eat something, maybe that would help. I pumped it up with children's Advil and now she is sleeping.

I have to go to a Parent information meeting tonight at the church for her First Holy Communion. Hope I am not carrying any of the virus with me.

Celery --I know that commercial for snickers. We dont' have a Publix so haven't seen that one.

We don't do the Black Friday thing here after Thanksgiving. Your Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday so do most people get Friday off too? All the retail people would have to work and go to work early too....:lmao:

Mommy P -- are your cookies like chocolate chip with whoppers instead?

Time for a vent!

I HATE TAMMY'S JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright. I feel better now.
hehe.

my head hurts and now I have to drive across nashville to pick up some stupid papers from her office.
so I WILL eat something good. cuz I said. :rotfl2:

nab - a lot of people take the friday after thanksgiving off. I'm not going to this year because I'm almost out of vacation time -
so this place will be empty!

Nab: That's good news about Hannah. Hope she feels like her old self soon.

Twinkie: Didya make a decision on the costumes? Hope youre not fretting too much about it.

Celery: I feel your hunger pains.

UD: Hope things are well with you. You seem like you try to have a positive attitude.:thumbsup2

MommyP: Makes me want to go make some cookies too. I like peanut butter with the hershey's kisses on top. Then again, I like every kind of cookie.

Utah: It bugs me too, that Thanksgiving is just skipped over. It's a great holiday to reflect about what really matters in life.

Pumba: Maggot? yikes!:rotfl:

DTD: All work and no play.... (that's one of my favorite sayings)

Lex: Your ds sounds like one of my boys last year, or the year before. I can't keep all the costumes straight. Ethan was Darth Vader one year too. He ended up doing zackly what your ds did. Black on black. And he ditched the voice changing helmet.

Snarkgirl: yay for the Red Sox. I will refrain from making comments about the Patriots.

PJ: Since I know you miss waking up to this, I thought I'd post a pic for you.

Twink....going back to bed is always a goog idea. :thumbsup2
Twinkie thanks you for this useful post.

I say go with the costumes you've got! That's what I'm doing! We have enough costumes to outfit every 7 yr old boy in the neighborhood. We're just wearing one of them....whichever one he wants when I yell that it's time to trick or treat. Hope that makes you feel better.
Thank you. That does make me feel better. I *do* realize that this is all about how I feel. My girls where beyond thrilled with the karate outfits.

Twinkie- Wait, you're not done Christmas shopping yet????? :scared: :upsidedow :snooty: LOL! I second Melinda's sentiments....the girls can be whatever they want with what you already have. Lay outall their choices and let them pick! You provide the makeup and accessories if necessary. VOILA! No more angst! So do NOT go spend money on costumes. The money you saved, go buy Huggies and binkies, and something purdy for yourself! And some chocolate.
And did you call UD "Buttercup"???? :rolleyes1

Brilliant idea! Of course there will be a fight over the one pink tutu (don't feel sorry for them, we also own green and blue) and then they will both change their minds and not one will wear it.
And no I didn't call Underdog "buttercup". I called him pucrettub. Toadily different. ;) :upsidedow
 Hi, I'm not dead, Twinks, just not real alive.
Ahh. Mostly dead is partially alive. Movie, anyone?

and I told her she was not allowed to snot on grasshopper's present!
So I was reading backwards so I saw this quote in Utah's post before I read your post and I was thinking.... "I hope she was talking to Jeanie NOT Tammy":rotfl: .... .even better it was LilAmber!

3. You printed that for the poster or for her book? I'm confused. Congrats on your daughter's star status!
4. It's so weird to think of him as a teenager. I still think of him as little from your trip report.
5. What will make them happy, Twinkie? Some cheap costume? No. Having fun with their mommy! Set aside some time today or tomorrow and pull out all of their costumes and make it a fun game.
you could even let them go "shopping" -
hang a string between two chairs, put all their dress up clothes on hangers and shop!
dig some make up out - (do you wear make up? this part would be hard for me) and help them get a special halloween makeover.
bonding time that's MUCH better than spending money on a piece of fabric that would make a stripper blush
I would rant about all the slutty outfits that kids wear now - for halloween and normally, but I won't.
6. Don't tell Martha (AKA Utah), but I don't have any Thanksgiving decorations! I KNOW! Do you think it would be tacky to leave my fake pumpkins out, but turn them around so you don't see the jack o lantern side? Hmm.
3. I printed it out for the poster. Cause I can use a computer real well but cute lil' caligraphied glittered scrapbooky posters are beyond my skillz.
4. I know. He is taller than me. And his voice is beginning to change for reals as opposed to the "fake" change he was trying to pass off this summer. Never a dull momemt here.
5. That (slutty costumes) is one reason I wanted to push the girly choices now while I have control and then when they are 13 they can be linebackers or ninjas or polar explorers. ;)
6. Hmm. I would have to reserve judgement on the whole question of tacky. Just forget it and put up snowflakes and sleighbells.... the rest of the world is:rolleyes:

Twink, I have to second Wendy's recommendation that you chillax and get yourself some chocolate. You sound waaaaaay too wound up! No Twinkies will be emotionally scarred by not having a $39.99 tulle-and-acetate crapola costume-of-the-moment. I promise.
Twinkie thanks you for this useful post even though I know your daughter is wearing a different tulle-n-acetate costume each day of the week this week. I will chillax. I have had two fun size bags of m&ms already.

WAS there really a union? Hmmm? I have a funny feeling our English ancestors ate their delicious food riiiight before they opened fire with their muscats.
I read the last line as muskrats the first time. I laughed out loud.

Twinkie - I feel goog. I don't think I've ever felt so great into my third trimester. I am having a day of aches and pains. But other than that. I'm great! How about you?
I am glad to hear that! I am great now that I am not fighting that cold/virus/pre-pnumonia or whatever. Lots of aches and pains but actually much better than the last month with either of the other two pregnancies.

Hiya everyone else! I really need an ironing frenzy. Today has sped past so far!

Peej
-I would LOVE for you to get the tag "Loopy is as Loopy does" from Twinkie's massive post. THAT would be a lovely one!
I am ready for a new tag. I could live with that one! My tags make me sound silly. Or clueless. Or even stupid. Which I certainly am not. :snooty: I do know what a vacuum is!!!

Nab...hope Hannah feels better soon. Flu stinks. We had 7 kids out today with various colds and strep throat. My teacher has a cold too. I better not get sick again. :sad2:

pj - Tammy should know who you two are - plus hollywood. cuz I tell her stuff about you a lot.
she's just confused.
Maybe she thought Elisabeth was Hollywood. Since they're like best friends and all. (In Elisabeth's mind).
Maybe Hollywood should get a name on here. Or not. :scratchin

But I bet your kids' costumes are PERFECT. Martha!

PJ: Since I know you miss waking up to this, I thought I'd post a pic for you.

PJ thanks you for that useful post. And now, a story to go with the picture....
On Saturday morning I was awakened because a cow was mooing. Loudly. Totally dead serious. You can't make this stuff up. Ahh life on Crazynurse Ranch....

Hi to everyone. Hope Monday's going well. We had a smooth day at school and now I'm off to class. :wave2:

Steph-- I live on soda....is it because of the reflux thing.

Yes, I try to avoid soda.

Steph, hope you have nice weather for your outing tonight - it is pretty rainy in my neck of the woods, but I managed to get out to a couple craft shows this afternoon and drove through the carwash to get the mud from going to one of the shows (at the fairgrounds) off my car. I got a cute collar for Sukie with pretty yarn attached to it. Hard to describe.

Thanks! It was a little chilly, but not too bad. Girls had a blast.

Do y'all like Pumpkin Spice Bars? That's what I'm baking riiiiight now. They smell deelish! I still need to make the cream cheese frosting with halloweeny sprinkles to go on top. I really hope they taste as good as they smell.

I usually make a couple sheets of these each year. Yummm!!

Evening! I wasn't on last night because our Internet was down  And I was too busy at work today to check in.

PJ: Since I know you miss waking up to this, I thought I'd post a pic for you.

LOVE IT!!! Moooooooooooooooo!

No worries, I would never get up early enough to wake you, PJ :rotfl:

Nab, hope Hannah is doing better tonight.

Marita, let us know where you have lunch tomorrow!!!

I love all the talk about kids dressing up for Halloween. It was my mom's favorite holiday. Good luck to all the parents with costume angst!

We're supposed to dress up at work Wednesday and put decorated bags with treats in our offices for people to come around. Not sure if I will dress up or not. I may just wear all black and my blinky pumpkin necklace (I got another one since the one I wore at WDW broke).

Wendy, the pumpkin spice bars sound delish!!!

Hi Moo. How are you this evening?

Celery:
That ride is still shut down after it cut the girls feet off.:scared1: It used to be called Hellavator, but then it was changed to Superman. I can't recall if she was actually from Loo Uh Vull or the surrounding area. They've kept it pretty quiet.

PJ: I need a new tag too. Who do we need to rub elbows with to rectify this situation? I never even said "Space reserved for better than crappy tags". The tag fairy changed my wording. BTW, doesn't everybody wake up to a cow giving birth?:confused3

FYI: Julia decided to dress up for Halloween..at least she wore a costume to my brother's party. It remains to be seen if she will be too cool to actually go trick or treating.

She was Sally from "Nightmare Before Christmas". Caleb's costume complete freaks me out, b/c its sooooo creepy. Is it a demon? No a ghost? No A monster? No. It's the Burger King guy.:scared: :scared: I think he only picked it, b/c he knows how much I hate it. Such a smarty pants.:rolleyes1

The two little boys are going as Colts players. Adam Vinatieri for Ethan and Peyton Manning for the redhead. We found Colts helmets and Colts uniforms for them. All I had to do was iron on the number (included) they wanted on the back.

That's my Halloween story for the year. YW.

The longest week is over. I had help tonight and had an easy night. Now for 2 days of rest. And BBN, I will play.
Even the scary leg cutter offer one? :scared: How is that girl anyway? Was she local to Loooh uh vul?
Thought you'd know if anyone on here. She was sent to Vandy for some weird reason when the best reattachment center in the world is in Louisville. Anyway, one foot was successfully reattached, but the other was not. Her rehab has been very slow. She's a middle school student in Louisville and has returned to school.
Backstage Gal- Thanks. Now I'm craving a reuben. Got to be the best sandwich in the world. Maybe at Max and Erma's Thursday night. mmmmm
Guess I'd better get working on the next chapter of the trippie. Gotta get Goofy's pix. Later folks.

So I had another firedrill late tonight.Took care of that, I think.
Then I decided to look up H&R Block tax site, thinkng I miight want to retire and work part time there. But no link to any jobs, GRRRRRRRRRRR! I have an accounting degree, but I know I would need a course to freshen up. I might even be inspired to take it to get out of this grind.

Eating at Saratoga tomorrow, if things work out. A Reuben sandwhich, thrilling, but better than the frozen junk I took to work today.

Can you tell I need an attitude adjustment?

Hi, E!!! Just sitting here watching TV and the puppies tonight.

DTD, glad your week from helk is over. Enjoy your time off :woohoo:

DTD: Wow, you know the scoop. Impressive.

We do have the world reknowned hand/foot reattachment center in the world. They did that first hand transplant in Louisville.

Quick story. ETA: Twink, you may want to skip this. Not sure.

DH fell on a patch of ice holding a glass bottle in his hand. (It wasn't my chocolate milk that I was craving while nursing a baby or anything:rolleyes1 ).
I don't want to gross you guys out, but let's just say it was a horrendous cut. It severed an artery and a tendon. I will leave the rest to your imagination. The ER staff was worried he was going to bleed to death. Anyway, dh got lucky. The doctor on call was the one who ended up doing the first hand transplant a few days later. The recovery process was horrible. 12 weeks in a cast thingy and physical therapy and to this day, his hand has "issues". But, we were glad he had such a skilled surgeon or who knows what could have happened.

Twinkie thanks you for this useful post.

Twinkie thanks you for this useful post even though I know your daughter is wearing a different tulle-n-acetate costume each day of the week this week. I will chillax. I have had two fun size bags of m&ms already.

Actually, in true Lali fashion, she has decided to forego recycling the Minnie Mouse costume from last year. She decided to wear only a Snow Princess outfit (?), which is a fleece floor-length fleece dress with a capelet and faux fur muff. She was quite a hit at yesterday's Parade of Horribles.

M&M's are goog. Bring on the chocolate!

Snarkgirl: yay for the Red Sox. I will refrain from making comments about the Patriots.

Yay, indeed! There's gonna be a big ol' parade in their honor tomorrow. Baseball players on Duck Boats, riding thru the streets of Boston....:cheer2:

But I bet your kids' costumes are PERFECT. Martha!

Ha! See my post to Twink re: Wednesday's costume. Pugsley's going as a skeleton-faced ghost (?). A costume I totally winged using stuff we had in the dress up chest. I only added the mask, which I got for $1.00 at Wallyworld (no kidding!).

Baseball players on Duck Boats, oh my!!! That sounds like a cool sight to see :3dglasses

I love seeing the Duck Boats in Chicago. If we ever take another trip there, I want to ride in one. We also saw them in Philly a couple years ago when my DD and I went to visit Penn while she was scoping out grad schools. We were there on Halloween night!

L, your kids' costumes sound great. Your kids' too, E (except for Burger King guy - ewwww).

I think I enlisted my son to come over on Halloween to hand out candy. Such a pain when I try to work and the door bell rings every few minutes. :rolleyes1 Actually, the door bell does not ring, since it is it broken, but they bang on the door!

Although I do enjoy the little kiddos all dressed up. What gets me is the teens with the pillow cases!!!!!!!! That dress up in minimum costumes.

So I will probably do a mixture of handing out candy and and having son do it (if he actually shows up!)

WHo invented Halloween?

I now had a bag of M&M, a butterfinger, and an Almond joy!

No worries, I would never get up early enough to wake you, PJ :rotfl:
In that case you can sleep outside my window.

PJ: I need a new tag too. Who do we need to rub elbows with to rectify this situation? I never even said "Space reserved for better than crappy tags". The tag fairy changed my wording. BTW, doesn't everybody wake up to a cow giving birth?:confused3
AHEM. The cow was not giving birth. That is a rite of passage that I have yet to experience. Although, hearing your immitation of it may have been enough for me...

I had never seen the Burger King man (shocking, I know) but I can vouch for the creepiness of the costume.

So I had another firedrill late tonight.Took care of that, I think.
Hey, we had a fire drill today too!!!

Thought you'd know if anyone on here. She was sent to Vandy for some weird reason when the best reattachment center in the world is in Louisville. For some reason "reattachment center" just sounds so wrong. It really doesn't have a nice ring to it at all.
