:wave2: Had a nice weekend with BabyPJ and today we took the kids to Six Flags in Louisville for a thing dh's work was having. All the rides were open and the kids got to trick or treat there too.

I talked one of our friends into riding one of the roller coasters with us. He was like "no freakin' way", but as PJ knows I can sometimes talk people into riding things they don't want to ride. :rolleyes1

Hope everybody had a great weekend. Ignore the thread hijack, we were pretty much loopy by that point.

PJ, you were right, it is 50%. But it looks like its no good at Earl of Sanwich (Participant). We shall see, not sure we can make it out of work tomorrow anyway, with boss' first day back. But I am not wasting my coupons on cheap places yet (which is funny, cause hubby and I never go anywhere). But Earl of sandwich is reasonable, so we might make it there soon anyway.

BN, you and PJ loopy??????? Never!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance3:

Hope everyone who didn't check in yesterday had a wonderful, fun, productive day!

HAVE A SPLENDID SUNDAY!

"And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." --Micah 6:8

Thanks for this... I love these things, they inspire me! Not eazy for me at times (A lot lately). What is Justly? :headache:
Puts me in my place... I needed that:goodvibes

BabyNurse and Peej- I love reading you both! SO funny and snarky, my kinda gals!

Misty's baaaack! I missed her! She made the huge mistake of putting me in charge of her cat...I was able to find a remarkable look alike at the animal shelter. Plus, I drank all her diet pepsi! :rolleyes1
Tomorrow I get a sneak preview of her pics! Yay!!!! She just posted a photo of her kids in their pirate family costumes on the boutique thread! So cute!

UD- Sorry your having a rough time. I've so been there! It gets easier, really!

GOOG MORNING! :sunny:

Monday already?

We went to the Fall Carnival at church last night...fun and games for all. I worked registration and there was a HUGE turnout. DD14 painted faces and DS ran around collecting candy and prizes at the booths.

Wendy...Everybody asked me who DS was supposed to be. We shed his Darth Vader voice changer mask and long black cape the minute we walked in and ran around all night in black sweats and a black t-shirt. :confused3

PJ....NOHotTCollegeChix translates to "No Offense HotT College Chix". I have no doubt that you are actually hotT. ;)

Marita
....Is your 50% off a bonus? I'm confused. BTW...I saw clocks changed for DST everywhere yesterday. Guess those clocks haven't heard about the new legistlation. :)

UD
.....I love that you love the Bible verses. You're a sweet man. I'd write all that backwards if I could.

EVERYBODY ELSE.....:wave2:

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!

Good Morning!

Will I finish this post before Lexi shows up with her biscuits and gravy?

NAB- :grouphug: so sorry about Hannah. I hope she feels better and that no one else in the family gets it.
Pumba- I totally agree about the computer thing. For example, when a small ninja child "plays" on my computer and rearranges the tool bar at the top it drives me batty. Heaven forbid someone mooves my cheese.
Utah- I would totally recognize two Pokemon trainers if I saw them. I bet a lot of other peeps would too. You are goog mama to make costumes for your babies. I am feeling some late coming Hallowangst. More on that later.
PJ & BBN- Glad you had a nice weekend. It sounded loverly. Loopy is as loopy does.
MP- How are you feeling?
Marita- I agree that your lunch plans sound like the exact defination of team building. Enjoy your half off overpriced lunch. Have a magical day.
Moo- Sounds like the pups are the perfect addition to the extended Moo family. So glad you got them!
DU- !iH ?pucrettub pu stahW:grouphug:
DTD- Are you still alive? working at odd hours?
Poly- I know you are out there winning at Trivia. Today was rotten for me. I don't know anything about "celebrities" other that UtahMama and DISUNC.
Lexi- How are you? do you cook for your church every Sunday?
Tammy- Hope you feel much better today.
Cel- Hmm. I gots nothing. So hi!:)

Well BBN- what exciting things do you have planned this week? Mr. Trollop, um, er, Twinkie just left to go "out of town". While the cat is a way, the mice will play. Meaning I may go on a posting frenzy. Or not. Stay tuned. Or not.

So last night I went to the large shopping establishment to buy a poster board because I needed to make a Star of the Week poster. Yes, my lil twinkerbell is Star of the Week. A whole week of being a star. This means you get to bring in a poster about yourself, your favorite book to read during story time and you get to be second in line & door holder ALL WEEK LONG. Happy Helper is of course the line leader and snack passer outer. I love kindergarteners. They are just so excited about everything. So I spent my Sunday night making a poster which reminds me I am not crafty at all. However I did a great job in the eyes of the people who really matter. I printed out all the relevant details (I am 5 years old. My favorite book to read is Dick and Jane) on the computer with google-stolen images and printed it on PINK paper. I am a genius!

All of this to skim to say- I had to go the large shopping establishment last night where I experienced Hallowangst. I haven't done anything for costumes for this year. My girls have an extensive dress up wardrobe so something could be found. Ninjaboy owns both a Captain Hook and a generic pirate costume that should fit. The teenager is too cool to dress up anyways. I even have two karate outfits bought dirt cheap at one point that I just gave to the girls this weekend because I found them while cleaning the basement storage in search of baby stuff. So new to them (and new in the package) costumes. They are thrilled.

But I know I have done nothing.

And don't I want my little princesses to be princesses or cheerleaders or fairies or somesuch frilly nonsense while they are still little enough to want to do such a thing?

So I peruse the Halloween aisle. WHICH ISN'T THERE. They have already taken down Halloween and shoved it in a corner and have a 4 aisles of Christmas trees and stockings and wrapping paper and :faint::santa:

Hello. What about Thanksgiving? What about the fact that it is October? What about all the people who need to buy costumes and paper goods with purple spiders?????

Oh wait. That is only me apparently. And one other mom who was shopping late at night with 3 whiney kids trying to explain AGAIN that if they bought the psycho killer pirate ninja Freddy Kruegar costume for Junior (age 9) he wouldn't be able to wear it to school. Duh.

So the costumes were very picked over. Plenty of size 2 witches and size 4 Buzz Lightyears. A few bizarre offerings like tavern wench (size adult) and Barbie as a vet (:confused3 ). Only 30% off making it still too expensive for my low rent tastes. I don't mind paying big bucks for qualityish (ie Disney Store glittery official princess costumes and by big bucks I mean 50% off) stuff but 15$ for what amounts to less that 38 cents worth of acetate????

SO I am having strange thoughts like I should go to the Other Large Shopping Establishment on the other side of town and buy fabric. And whip up two costumes today.

Note: I don't know how to sew.

Maybe this mood will pass and I will spend the day as per ususal (laundry, ironing, taking kids places, small posting frenzy.)

I should go back to bed now. I am obviously beyond loopy.

GOOG MORNING, SUNSHINES!!!!
halloween-1.jpg

Only 2 more days until Halloween!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :dance3: :yay:

1. :wave2: Had a nice weekend with BabyPJ and today we took the kids to Six Flags in Louisville for a thing dh's work was having. All the rides were open and the kids got to trick or treat there too.

2. I talked one of our friends into riding one of the roller coasters with us. He was like "no freakin' way", but as PJ knows I can sometimes talk people into riding things they don't want to ride. :rolleyes1

3. Hope everybody had a great weekend. Ignore the thread hijack, we were pretty much loopy by that point.
1. I believe you mean Loo Uh Vuhl

2. I certainly don't know what you're talking about. I went on that ride because I decided I wanted to all on my own.

3. :rolleyes1 YOU were loopy.

I thought it had to be a table service restaurant. Or maybe there were different ones for table service and counter service. I just remember that we used my sister's at Boma and Tony's last year.

Glad everyone seems to have enjoyed the loopiness. We'll bring you Loopiness: Part 2 in the near future. ;)

Twink....going back to bed is always a goog idea. :thumbsup2

Have a great one, all.

:grouphug:

HA! Twinkie! If I'd known you were out there I would've waited!

Now, who exactly are we whipping up costumes for? Because the twinker twins can easily do with something from Target in the dress up aisle if they need to be ballerinas or sumpm. I personally like the Disney princess pjs for a costume...then they're already ready for bed! ;) And the Goldenchild...does he care what he is? Naaaa.

I say go with the costumes you've got! That's what I'm doing! We have enough costumes to outfit every 7 yr old boy in the neighborhood. We're just wearing one of them....whichever one he wants when I yell that it's time to trick or treat. Hope that makes you feel better.

BUT. I do agree that the seasons are changing too soon....holiday-crapola-wise. DS is already asking when we can put up the tree? EXCUSE ME. Can we all pause to be thankful for a few moments in late November?

OK....that's my editorial. Please proceed with your day.

Twinkie- Wait, you're not done Christmas shopping yet????? :scared: :upsidedow :snooty: LOL! I second Melinda's sentiments....the girls can be whatever they want with what you already have. Lay outall their choices and let them pick! You provide the makeup and accessories if necessary. VOILA! No more angst! So do NOT go spend money on costumes. The money you saved, go buy Huggies and binkies, and something purdy for yourself! And some chocolate.
And did you call UD "Buttercup"???? :rolleyes1

Peej
-I would LOVE for you to get the tag "Loopy is as Loopy does" from Twinkie's massive post. THAT would be a lovely one!

Melinda- I can see James going from Darth Vadar to mystery-black-costume! He is so dang, stinkin' CUTE! I toadilly agree about Christmas. I can't understand why they set up so early? You're right, can't we pause and be thankfu for 2 seconds in November before the frenzy? Oh, we soooo go shopping on black friday (the day after Thanksgiving) and then are mostly done. I go because crowds of sleepy rednecks entertain me immensley. I think I'm a Retail Puppet!

My kids are still out of school for UEA. They're off tomorrow too. I think I want them to go back so I can have a clean(er) house! But I have enjoyed them being off. I don't know what UEA stands for but it's some kind of teacher thing. :confused3

Morning all,

I'm tired today. Hannah is still sick and was up most of the night , I have to try to get her into the doctors this morning or go to the clinic. She is complaining of a headache still. I am thinking ear infection.

So the other one is thrilled this morning because he gets to walk to school by himself.

P.J. -- you are right the book is about twins. Thomas and Dominik.

Pumba-- when I read your post I thought you bought a doll cradle for your dog. See I am tried. I'm sure it is for your granddaughter. But I thought wow that dog is spoiled....:rotfl2:

UMA-- told Nicholas about the costumes he said Cool!!!

Twinkie-- I am sure the kids could be anything. Hubby is always telling the kids they should make a homemade costume and that he was a dice when he was a kid or a bunch a grapes.

I agree about the Christmas over running Halloween and even your Thanksgiving. Mind you long ago when you went to a store it was only for a costume and candy now it is Halloween lights, and ton's of decorations.

Boy I sound old.....I feel old today.

Off to call the doctor.

 Hi, I'm not dead, Twinks, just not real alive. This will be my eighth straight day and will have worked 70 hours. And thru the first 5 days, each started a little earlier. I've read, but not posted much anywhere. Also, had volleyball and football games this weekend. Perfect football weather, tho.
Speaking of football, Mel, what happened? Andre looked real mediocre. But how could they drop from 14th to unranked? That's weird.
After tonight, I have 3 of the next 4 days off, but I have to go to a wedding Friday night in Loo Uh Vuhl and get back to work at 5 Saturday. Hopefully see my dad that day. He's getting really old. I sent him an e-mail to that effect last week reminding him he had just turned 1000. Months that is. That's 83 and a third for the math impaired. Now I have to go see him so he can whack me one.
 to everybody else and someone send a search party out for Poly. And Tammy, to help you feel better I'm sending:flower3: to brighten your day.

I am laughing about Megara having her very own cradle.........but why would she need that when she jumps on the water bed and sleeps between us and often pushes me off my side.....she is a mini horse........
When I talk about the "MEGS" I have to say......MEGAN or MEGARA......they almost didnt call her Megan because of dog issues......I said no one will mess it up........NOPE.....Her big brother called her Maggot for a while.......he was only two at the time of her birth......but now he calls her Megan ....Now when they get older he may revert back to the Maggot issue.....hahaha.
Sister called me and we are going to see Mama......Hope she is happier today.....sad to see her sad.....
Tammy hope you are feeling better......You have to be cause there are to many people here hoping and praying that you do.......HUGS.

Hope that Hannah is feeling better too......poor babies when they dont feel good.....

ALmost forgot.......EAT AT THE EARL OF SANDWICH FOR ME........hubby and I and our neighbors LOVE that place.........I always have the full Montagu.......hubby gets the beef and blue.........have fun

moo - we had to take jeanie home after we were done with the potluck at church. :(

utah - I kinda know what ash looks like and I've never really watched the show. he's not THAT obscure.

pj - Tammy should know who you two are - plus hollywood. cuz I tell her stuff about you a lot.
she's just confused.

pumba - I'm glad today is trash day for us too. The stupid dumpster is full cuz our weird neighbor (not the one that called tammy a bad name) is moving, I think.
or at least I hope.
this is the one who kept her dogs locked up in a room with the window open and animal control came and took them away from her.
plus I don't think she paid her rent very often.
I was bad one time and read a note that was left on her door.
I'm going to helk!

marita - I'm having fun working on pregnant gifts too!
I'm glad I decided to do a cross stitch for grasshopper.
cuz I can watch tv at the same time.
I had to yell at little amber last night.
I was laying in bed working on it and she climbed on my stomach and did her little snort which means "Pet me!" and I told her she was not allowed to snot on grasshopper's present!

Ok. I've got to finish reading. I just didn't want to forget what I had to say. And I hate multi quoting everything.

All the rides were open and the kids got to trick or treat there too.

Even the scary leg cutter offer one? :scared: How is that girl anyway? Was she local to Loooh uh vul?

But it looks like its no good at Earl of Sanwich (Participant).

How about wolfgang puck? The express one is near the christmas shop. I didn't make it to the christmas shop this year. :( I'll have to save up and do some outlet shopping instead.

1. I don't know anything about "celebrities" other that UtahMama and DISUNC.
2. Cel- Hmm. I gots nothing. So hi!:)

3. My favorite book to read is Dick and Jane) on the computer with google-stolen images and printed it on PINK paper. I am a genius!

4. The teenager is too cool to dress up anyways.

5. And don't I want my little princesses to be princesses or cheerleaders or fairies or somesuch frilly nonsense while they are still little enough to want to do such a thing?

6. Hello. What about Thanksgiving? What about the fact that it is October? What about all the people who need to buy costumes and paper goods with purple spiders?????

1.:rotfl2: Now that should be a tag!
2. Hi! :upsidedow I miss Haley. Why did she leave us? :(
3. You printed that for the poster or for her book? I'm confused. Congrats on your daughter's star status!
4. It's so weird to think of him as a teenager. I still think of him as little from your trip report.
5. What will make them happy, Twinkie? Some cheap costume? No. Having fun with their mommy! Set aside some time today or tomorrow and pull out all of their costumes and make it a fun game.
you could even let them go "shopping" -
hang a string between two chairs, put all their dress up clothes on hangers and shop!
dig some make up out - (do you wear make up? this part would be hard for me) and help them get a special halloween makeover.
bonding time that's MUCH better than spending money on a piece of fabric that would make a stripper blush
I would rant about all the slutty outfits that kids wear now - for halloween and normally, but I won't.
6. Don't tell Martha (AKA Utah), but I don't have any Thanksgiving decorations! I KNOW! Do you think it would be tacky to leave my fake pumpkins out, but turn them around so you don't see the jack o lantern side? Hmm.

I'm tired today. Hannah is still sick and was up most of the night , I have to try to get her into the doctors this morning or go to the clinic. She is complaining of a headache still. I am thinking ear infection.

Pumba-- when I read your post I thought you bought a doll cradle for your dog. See I am tried. I'm sure it is for your granddaughter. But I thought wow that dog is spoiled....:rotfl2:

Tell hannah I hope she feels better!
and I was confused about the megara thing too. I figure it was either a granddaughter or a rugrat.

Goog morning ever-body! Happy day here in the Boston area...thank you Red Sox!!! Plus the weather is bee-yoo-tee-ful, albeit a bit chillly.

Twink, I have to second Wendy's recommendation that you chillax and get yourself some chocolate. You sound waaaaaay too wound up! No Twinkies will be emotionally scarred by not having a $39.99 tulle-and-acetate crapola costume-of-the-moment. I promise.

NAB, I hope Hannah is on her way to feeling better!

Wendy, I would also recognize 2 Pokemon trainers if I saw them. My DS is all about Pokemon! It's a phase I wish he'd get over, but still it persists. :sad2:

Hi everyone else!

Hello. What about Thanksgiving? What about the fact that it is October? What about all the people who need to buy costumes and paper goods with purple spiders?????

Should have shopped in JULY!!!

The minute our Christmas gift wrap is wadded up and thrown away, we'll have to JUMP into Valentimes day and ,BLINK, Easter!

Celery- You mean to tell me you DON'T have porcelain Pilgrims and hand woven cornucopias strewn with mini autumninal gords???? No fall leaves in a dainty arrangement with taper candles symbolizing the union between the pilgrims and the Native Americans? I may faint!:sad2:

WAS there really a union? Hmmm? I have a funny feeling our English ancestors ate their delicious food riiiight before they opened fire with their muscats.

no! I don't have any of that stuff!
part of it is because I think cornucopias are ugly.
but I love the little pilgrim salt and pepper shakers that come to life for some grocery store commercial.
I think it's publix.

speaking of pilgrims -
have y'all seen the new snickers dark commercial?
it has a pilgrim and a viking or some cave man at a gas station.
what is up with that?
were there evil cavemen at thanksgiving?
I don't get it.

I need some chocolate.
mmmm. dark chocolate.
