Morning all,

Well we didn't make it to church today. Poor Hannah is sick. She said she had a headache and upset stomach. I wrote a long post before but she called me. She throw up in her bed. I never saw anything like it. Hannah tried to hold it to get out of bed and she said it exploded..... all over head  It looked like some one poured slime all over her head.

She is now all bathed up, p.j.'s changed , bed cleaned and back in there. I think she has a fever too. We have all had some sort of symptons this week. It started with Nicholas who now has a bad cold.

Tammy -- you sound like you are in so much pain. I'm glad Celery is taking good care of you.

Lexi-- I am hope she didn't eat the little girls too. I mis read the post I guess.:rotfl2: I was never a Brownie or girl guide.

Speaking of Girl Guides I miss Haley. And where is Poly?

Marita -- :yay: for your dd wins. I would hate to play in the mud though.

Moo-- Did you get that wicked wind last night. I had to bring my Halloween stuff in again. And when it is so windy it is cold....

Nab, so sorry Hannah is sick

Thanks for the congrats on DD's wins yesterday. Unfortunately, the team lost their first game today, so they are out of the tournament. She should be on her way home now. Heaven knows when she will get here, it's a long way from Virginia.

Talked to my mom today, she has had some gall bladder attacks and must live on a diet now. No butter, no cake, no fresh bread:mad: But she says she is doing much better.

It's been a really quiet weekend on the boards.

The sun is kind of in and out of the clouds today. 80 degrees tomorrow. I got out a fall sweater and jacket. The boss comes back from a week of vacation tomorrow, and I really should finish up some things today. But I really am in NO mood to work. Oh well.:rolleyes1 I need to go to the grocery store, as the only food in the house is the stuff hubby and DD eat (healthy stuff). I need to get some quiche and pot pies, a sub, maybe some Oscar Mayer wieners. Also need creams and lightbulbs. But then again, I hate shopping......

Hope everyone is having a nice sunday!

Melinda, that is a great idea about the Christmas cards. I don't usually send out very many so having cards made up wouldn't cost a fortune.

Nab, hope Hannah is feeling better this afternoon. We didn't have too much wind last night (that I know of).

Marita, sorry to hear that your DD lost today. Glad to hear you talked with your mom. Hope she is doing OK. We have sunny skies here today :dance3:

I am having a lazy Sunday. Right now I'm sitting here watching the puppies play. Their toys are strewn all over the living room floor. Jasper was tossing his rawhides and toys around and running after them. That's a game that Corgis love to play. Sukie likes to steal whatever Jasper is playing with or chewing on. I finally put a cushion in their kennel last night, since they have gone over a week with no accidents in there. Seems like they liked sleeping on it pretty well. I need to clean up Teddy's old kennel today because they need a bigger one to sleep in, they have grown so much. I need to take some more photos of them today!

Oh, I don't recall if I mentioned before that Mari will be home for a long weekend the weekend before Thanksgiving :woohoo: She needs her car looked at. It will be fun having her see the puppies and Cash will be here too. It should be interesting to see how they get along together! Cash has been visiting the dog park a lot, and one of Mari's roommates has a dog, so he is pretty used to being around other dogs.

OK, maybe I should not wait till January to get my prescription reading glasses replaced. I read "Man is coming home this weekend". I was thinking, "who is Man?" :rotfl:

The puppies sound like a lot of fun, Moo. I am not getting any more pets, I have decided on that.
I bit the bullet and went grocery shopping (for me, hubby buys all the stuff he and DD eat). Not a goog idea to go shopping hungry. I bought a ton of frozen stuff, I decided I might try to bring some to work for lunch. So my freezer which just got cleaned out a couple of weeks ago is stuffed to the gills again :sad2:

I got 6 quiches, 5 banquet frozen dinners, Supreme french bread pizza, refrigeted garlic sticks, sour cream, summer sausage (a small one), and some frozen enchiladas with rice and beans.
And of course, the 12" italilan Boar's head sub which will last me for 4 meals;)

So I should be set for a while....:rolleyes1

Oh, I think I forgot to say yesterday, I am doing a do-over of Mommy P's big enough for an adult blanket. I cant find my measuring tape, so I kind of measured it with the instruction booklet. (11", right?). Sure enough, way too long. I think now I am a couple of inches short, but I will have to do!
It can always be donated to charity!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I hate having to wait for insurance to kick in. I didn't get new glasses (for driving) this past year, since my prescription didn't change. I'll be ready for some different frames by this spring. Insurance only pays for new lenses every other year if your prescription doesn't change.

I took my lunch in one day last week. If I get in the habit of taking my lunch to work, I end up with more spending money for other things. Maybe I'll try that this week too, Marita.

My BIL and FIL came over to hang out with my hubby yesterday. BIL really liked the puppies - they have a couple smallish dogs too. He said bring them over to see how they do with our dogs and if they get along OK maybe we can keep them when you go away for the weekend :woohoo: We got small dogs this time so they'll be easier to take when we travel, but I know there will be times when we can't take them with us.

Yes on the lunches, Moo, Unfortunately, I usually forget (which reminds me, I forgot to get the Ginko Biloba today , plus I forgot the shopping list, which had it listed  ) But since there is usually nothing to eat in the caferteria, and everything at least 20 minutes away each way , I might try a more concerted effort. (Read, write reminder notes!)

OK, I think it's nap time.......

Edited to add: I remembered we have Halloween Candy! So I had a small pack of Peanut M&M's, an Almond Joy and a Baby Ruth. This has been the sum total of my food today. DS came over whle I was snacking and chided me for steeling candy from starving kids!
So I better get a nap now and get some real food when I wake up

Dis time is SERIOUSLY WRONG NOW. LIKE 2 HOURS!!!!!!!!!

hey y'all! Hope everyone had a good weekend. Tammy's napping again, of course!

hey you guys.....
went today to a restuarant and had a pizza buffet with salads and stoups and dessert pizzas and canolli.......they had like ten different types of brick oven cooked in front of us....YUMMY
then we went to the millstore and got a cradle for Megans dolly to sleep in....hubby will refinish it.......
then we went to best buy and got his and hers new monitors for the computers....these are the skinny ones and flat screens.....

so got the trash ready to go out.......tomorrow is trash pick up day and recycle day.......thank goodness for that

so now I sit before this computer that is not like my last one.....and I am wondering if I am seeing it right...different :confused3

Hi, Cel! Did Jeanie go home? Maybe the napping will help Tammy's healing.

Pumba, maybe your have a different resolution on your new monitor.

Pizza buffet sounds yummy. I just made Schwan's mini chicken tacos and had guacamole on them. Honeycrisp apples with caramel dip and peanuts for dessert.

My computer was acting up tonight. It was really slow to load pages. Hopefully that was just a temporary glitch. I ran my quick virus scan and it didn't detect any problems.

the time is only 35 minutes slow for me.
odd.

Oh duh, apparently my computer is ahead of DLST. I just figured this out:headache:

I was just looking at the computer time and thinking, what, another 1 1/2 hours til Desperate Housewives? That seems long. But then a glanced at a few clocks and they told me differentely.

Ok, off to hang up clothes from the dryer before DH. I might make it to row 10 on the baby blanket tonight....

Hey!!!! I'm letting my boys play this LEARNING game on the computer. It's cool geography! Which Is why I've been MIA for 2 days. Dang! I've gotten a lot done!

I'm working on my pregnant girlfriends baby gifts ;) which I totally love to do!

Misty's back! :cool1: :cool1: It sounds like she had a BLAST! I can't wait to see her pictures tomorrow.

Do y'all like Pumpkin Spice Bars? That's what I'm baking riiiiight now. They smell deelish! I still need to make the cream cheese frosting with halloweeny sprinkles to go on top. I really hope they taste as good as they smell.

I better go back and read to catch up.

Melinda? I need to go back and catch up on the weigh ins too! ACK! My kids were out of school so we've been so busy. I had to make 2 Pokemon Trainer costumes...

Nab - tell Nick that Riley was Ash and Dallen was Louis...NO one else will know or appreciate who the heck they are. We had Trunk or Treat at church last night. I kept telling my friends WHO the helk they were dressed as so they'd go up to my boys and say something like, " Hey, cool Pokemon Trainers..." My boys are in total heaven and that's all that matters...even though they are VERY obscure!

Making presents for pregnant g/f is fun.. So much so I am doing a second round, LOL (abandoned irst one).
My PC time says 7:48 pm, allthough it's 8:50 :sad2:

Stupid clothes were not dry yet, so it's going to cut into my DH time.

Hope we get the full story from Spongemisty's trip, Wendy.

HAHAHA!!!! That is SOOO funny!!!

I think she's gonna do a spectacular TR! ;)

Are they still out there? That was the srangest posting frenzy I ever read. Sitting right next to each other? NOHotTCollegeChix&WT.
That "are they still out there" really sounded like you were scared. :rotfl: I can't possibly imagine why. :rolleyes1
p.s. are you saying we're not hotT?? I don't get the NOHotTCollegeChix&WT. Trust me, we're hotT. ;)

I have been caught up in a book my sister gave me called I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb. It is an Oprah pick.
I know I read that one. But I can't remember what it was about. Was it about twins?

LOVED reading your little late night post fest  You too, WT!
At least someone here is classy enough to appreciate our mad posting skillz. :snooty:

Just because I was reading backwards trying to find out everything Cel was saying about our girl...I caught this interchange between Babynurse and PJ---whom I'm assuming are sisters????

Anyway...having driven through Louisville many times to go to northern IN...I'm going to say.... No matter how short your attention span is...you cannot miss when you cross the bridge into IN. IT's forever. Now I've got to say....I hope she made it safely to wherever she was going.
Well, we're basically sisters. Not quite, but close enough. She's my adopted sister and her husband adopted me and she's also my cybermommy. It's all very complicated. I guess I just have bridge confusion issues. Next time I'll know to pay better attention. Hope you're feeling better.

Nab...sorry Hannah is sick. Is she feeling any better?

HI to all the moooovers out there! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Time to start another week, once again.

Bah HumbugH! Although we are going out out Tuesday for lunch to Saratoga Springs with 40% discount coupons that expire Nov 1 or so. Nothhig much appealing to me, except for a Reuben. But I found I still had some coupons left too, so maybe we will do another outing , but time is running short. And assistants are short on money. See, Disney does not pay much, they keep telling you it's "the Disney Difference". You get to go to parks, get some discounts and some other things. Not like that pays the bills

That sounds very nice. I just got my cast holiday celebration thing in the mail. Free popcorn? Free soda? 50% off sit down meals? I mean, that's very nice and all but at the same time I'm with you....what is so great about this "Disney Difference?"

50% off an overpriced meal, whoohoo!

So I figure, I get a $9.99 Reuben, with discount and tip it will cost me about $8 (very rough math here, not like I work with numbers or anything, hehe)

Addendum: I do however have $30 in gift certificates for merchandise, and that combined with 40% discount will make for a nice christmas shopping trip. II need new tree ornarments. I am thinking of takiing knitfreak and assistant #2 on said trip over lunchtiime to DTD. (that's downtown disney, not Donald the Duck). I think that might be slightly against rules, but I think I may consider it teambuilding time. :)

I think that definitely fits into the teambuilding category. For sure. I'm confindent of it. I don't know where I got the extra 10% from. Wishful thinking?
