it's official. we can't be foster parents because of tammy's lying, murdering, incestuous family.

so I cancelled our visit with jeanie and anthony. because I just don't think I could bear seeing them right now.

but Mike got released from the hospital, so it should be ok.

and I'm being bad and drowning my sorrows, but I don't know what else to do.

tomorrow's another day, right?

Celery and Tammy, Feeling your pain.

BOO TO ALL THE MOOVERS!

Moo Hoo on your CD being sent, Melinda!!!

Thanks for your forgiveness, bbn. That Cap'n Jack was just for you!

MommyP, go back a few pages if you want to see my MNSSHP parade photos.

My little goblins are off to school and pretty excited. Don't think they will be getting much school work done today. They were having Black and Orange day instead of costumes. It was pretty cool to see all the black and orange on the playground.

My high school colors were orange and black, so spirit day always reminded me of Halloween!

Moo -- Hannah has your clips in that you gave her, thanks again for them.

You're welcome!!!

Marita-- I am with Moo. Love to see you in pigtails, maybe you should dress like that when you give out your candy.....:rotfl2:

Hee hee hee!

P.J. -- what a great day to be a teacher!!

Amen!

I can't believe nobody in my office brought their kids in to work today :confused3 We had candy galore. A lot of people brought in candy and several dressed up.

I love diet coke too....sorry UMA.

Regular Coke for me, please ;)

Hope everyone has a great candy filled day....except for you Pumba. We don't want that blood sugar up.

Ugh, I ate WAY too much candy today . . .

Don't think I ever had candy corn. Seen it but I don't think they even sell it here.

Can't believe you never had candy corn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pumba, your candy corn post was great!

Cel and Tammy :grouphug: :grouphug: Guess you'll just have to have your own baby the (semi-)old fashioned way. I enjoyed reading your paper. I have issues with my church's stance on several things. That's part of the reason I haven't been much lately :rolleyes1

Step away from the alky hol. You'll be glad you did tomorrow.

Love your photo, Misty! When I went to DL back in 2004, HM was closed because they were putting in the Halloween overlay

Twink :yay: Yay on only three weeks left!!!!!!!!!!

oh Cel and tammy.....I am sorry...I know you guys would make great foster or real parents.......we love you both:grouphug:

I want to give a great big Moo Hooty to Pumba for posting a link!!!!!!!!

Next thing you know, we will see pictures even!

I was really stressed out tonight, I reported a number for something that was several hundred thousands of dollars short. Reporting numbers for a week instead of for 4 weeks. Which I did last night.
And dreaded of course admitting to that. It was late (after six)when I found this, so I decided to wait until tomorrow.
An hour later, I had a brain flash or something. I logged back into work, and sure enough, I did the multiplication at the bottom for the total of all business groups, Which is probably too technical for here, but the point is, I thought I totally messed up, but I did not, WHEW!!!!!!!!!!! Goog thing I waited to report a mistake I did not make..:scared1:

Hope the various kids had a fruitful Halloween Harvest. The light went out here at 9pm. DH handed out the treats, since he is off tomorrow to go for a stress test. I only got to see 2 little girls, around 6 or so, that were adorable in belly dancer outfits ;)

Amber & Tammy, so sorry, but don't give up. You can go the private adoption route or work with a lawyer. Or there is Melissa Etheridge's way(you know any aging rock stars?).
Lexi- Big Man On Campus, from Cel's quiz. No one guessed on UMOC. Oh well, the prize rolls over to next time.
What a night. I bought three bags of candy and had 9 t or t'ers. All those Reese Cups, KitKats and Milk Duds just gonna go to waste, I mean waist. I almost run over more than that each afternoon.
So have we decided to make DIET COKE the official thread drink? I found 4 12 packs for ten bucks today, so I'm ecstatic.
I'm in the middle of working on my trippie right now, had to get online and google something. I write mine in Notepad and transfer it to the Dis, except this time when I'll email it to myself so I can post it from Louisville as soon as I get some pix from Goofy to post. It should be up early Friday.

Our light just went out too.

We had 162 kids. Not as many little ones as I would have liked to see.

Did see a Tinkerbell that was about 3 years old and I said oh how cute and the father said I was the first one all night that knew she was Tinkerbell everyone else called her a fairy.

Celery and Tammy -- I am so sorry guys. You both are the best and have so much love to give. Like Pumba said we love you and feel your pain.:sad1:

Pumba-- Thanks for that picture. I picture them tasting like solid sugar, they are hard right.

Marita-- they didn't get any fruit I tell you that. They did get one granola type bar , that was the first thing Nicholas said I got something healthy you can have it....:rotfl2:

Nab, candy corn are chewy, not hard. The taste is hard to describe, but they are pretty sugary.

Looking forward to your update, DTD! Friday can't get here soon enough.

Marita, glad you didn't report a mistake in error. Sounds like you need another day off!!! I have Veterans Day off soonish. And I think I'll take the Friday before Thanksgiving off when my DD is home.

Hannah and Nicholas tonight before they went out.

DSCN1618.jpg

Nicholas with his loot. Half of this will go to school with him tomorrow for the poor kids. They collect candy for kids in the third world that have to take medicine.

DSCN1616.jpg

This is Hannah's loot she was only out have the time. But she still filled a bag to for the poor.

Candy corn always makes me think of them as teeth instead of corn...:lmao:

Nab, fabulous costumes and great loot!! Especially Nicholas'. Quite amazing.

Love the costumes!

GREAT photos, Nabbie!

Looks like they had quite the night!!! So much pirate loot :lmao:

And your Halloween decorations are really cute too.

my favorite costumes of the night were this family of 5 (4 boys and one lil girl )and they were adorable pirates j/k those were mine .. i did not make it over to wendy's house to see her pokemon trainers so hopefully she took pictures .... ;) i hope everyone had a great but safe Halloween. :goodvibes

GOOG MORNING! :sunny:

Woke up late this morning!!! I had a Disney nightmare. I was at Disney at a hotel that I was not familiar with (CSR?) I couldn't remember my ADRs, park plans, lost my keys to the world and I missed Spectro! I KNOW!!!

Trick or treat was good! We had about as many as NAB. I had 124 treats which were gone in about an hour. DH drove to the store and got 4 more bags and we gave those away too.

My favorite costume was a kid that had on black shirt/pants, a big round pumpkin-ish costume with lines around it and a headband with star antenae. Anybody??? ..........the planet Jupiter! Second prize goes to the girl with the red dress, blonde wig, sunglasses, and handcuffs.......Paris Hilton.

DH got DS a last minute Scream costume with a heart that pumps blood through the mask.....nice. DD17 and her friend dressed in a costumes I didn't know.....scrubs, red ski caps, and the letter Z on their chest??? Anybody seen The Life Aquatic? I haven't so I don't get it. They handed out candy for me.

CELERY AND TAMMY.....:grouphug: Don't dispair....God has a plan.

DTD
....Take the candy to work so it doesn't go to waist!

NAB
....WOW! What a haul!? The kids looks spectacular! How to you send candy to the poor kids? Is there a web site??

EVERYBODY HAVE A GOOG DAY!

Tip for the Day ! (for those who have children who will be Trick or Treating )
When checking candy and putting in piles (IE the hard stuff you do not want your kids to eat, but they get every year because it is the cheapest to buy) Do not make a pile of snack size candy bars for yourself:cloud9: and when they are not looking hide them:confused3 stay away from those snack size candy bars or if they are lucky (FULL SIZE CANDY BARS ) also
They are the DEVIL!!!!!!! okay now back to my regular program of iron and folding Laundry... and also
Happy Halloween!!!!!
disneyland2040.jpg
Something to get ya in the mood..:rolleyes1
That Nightmare Before Christmas version of the Haunted Mansion needs to be on everyone's "List Of Things To See Before I Die!!!!"
It is beyond amazing! Thanks Mist!

Photos to Come!!! Pooh, you can come over and see em if you want (bring hooch pretty please :flower3: )

The best "treat" was a full sized Butterfinger...the worst was a HANDFUL of Doritos, I kid you not. Which is perfectly symbolic of my neighborhood.

The best costume was DicK Cheney a hunting vest and Dick Cheney mask. The worst costume was the sad kids at the school's Halloween Parade who didn't dress up because their parents are alcoholics and forgot :guilty: They walk around the parade all forlorn which breaks my heart every year!!!!!

I just drank my last diet Puppy. My head will be exploding in 2 hours :headache: LOL!

I forgot to mention, my kids want to eat the candy as they "tricker treat" since they know I'll allow them only a couple pieces and put the rest of it away, to be divvied up for weeks. Triumphantly, they DID get tummy aches JUST like I told them.

Que the William Tell Overture!

I was a mean ma too when my kids were young........they could have a few pieces Halloween night and then the next day after school ...but THEN only could have candy on candy day......which was Sunday after church.....oh well....they always went by my rules ( I think)......then we would throw the candy out by the time our sons birthday came about.......he wsa born on Turkey day many moons ago.......

Here is the deal of the day thru LL Bean.

Morning all,

Hope you all survived Halloween.

Lexi--It is an organization called"Canadian Food for Children" There is a Dr here that pays all the shipping cost of the candy too. Last year they sent 750 lbs of unwanted candy. Like I said it goes to children that have to take medicine it ,helps them take it. My kids are pretty generous that way, even send some candy they like.

Our worse costumes last night are no costumes. To boys at the end of the night just came with the skateboards and said they were skateboarders.:sad2: But I didn't want my pumpkins smashed or anything else done to my house so I gave them candy.

Twinkie-- we need pictures. Only three more weeks to go!!!

Spongie -- hope you do a trip report. Even a picture trip report is cool since I never been there.

Celery and Tammy -- I am thinking of you today. Like Lexi said God has a plan.

EVERYBODY HAVE A GOOG DAY!

We had a few Scream costumes. Lots of Hannah Montana'. Several Parises...cute when carrying a chuhuauah.

That was an awful nightmare...which proves you are a Dis-addict.

Don't you just love original costumes, like Saturn? All the Utah kids had to wear jackets over top of their costumes. MY kids wear sweats UNDER their costumes because their mama is a genius.

:lmao: Hurry up! Don't chew so fast!:lmao: Don't miss the bus! Come back here!:lmao:

Nab- your kids are adorable! I can't imagine having 200ish trickertreaters! I am sure we have never had more than 25.

Spongie- Twinkie thanks you for that useful post. I did as you suggested and piled the 44 bazillion chocolate bars into my my pile and threw away the gum/cheap stuff. ;)

Our childless next door neighbors (older professional couple) handed out bottled water and cans of fruit. My kids thought it was the BEST house.:rotfl: They crack me up. The kids. I don't know the neighbors that well. :goodvibes

Smilies from Twinkerbell: :surfweb: :bride: :cool2: popcorn:: :happytv:

Is everyone having a nice Sugar Coma/Start your Diet for reals/All Saints/Reformation Day?

I need to be productive today AND cook a nutritious dinner. :laundy: popcorn::

My kids are allowed two pieces depending how big they are or one bag of chips at day. Mostly taken in there lunches.

When we were growing up were never restricted but I do with my kids. Hannah not so much but Nicholas has no self control and would eat until he was sick.

After a few weeks they don't bother anymore and that is why I got rid of a ton of candy from last years haul yesterday. That is why I am talking them into giving away even more this year.
