A bacon double cheeseburger. Actually I packed Caleb a triple, he has a big appetite even though he is skinny as a rail.

A can of Pringles.

A deep fried Snickers.

And a beer.
:rotfl2: I love ya, Elisabeth!

I love the thing about the water WT. I was raised the same way.... once my Grandma offered me a glass with dinner and I (age 4) replied "Isn't that for bathing?" No lie.

I also believe that you should have cake for breakfast the day after your birthday and gingerbread cookies are a health food. And a couple of lollipops can save the day when you have a preschooler and a lot of errands to run.

Good parenting isn't the presence or absence of juice, handysnacks or SpongeBob... it is the love you give.... like that sweet note E attached to the extra beer she packed in J's lunch.

At age 4 you said "Isn't that for bathing?" Bathing? Wow. You sounded more sophisticated at 4 than most of the posters on this dump do today. Are you SURE you didn't say something like. "But Grandma, isn't that what you take a bath with?"

Morning all,

Babynurse-- love the lunch can't wait to see what is for supper.:rotfl:

Twinkie-- you can't seem to catch a break. Hope all the babies are better soon.

I sent in a note one time in Nicholas's lunch and he wasn't happy about it , it embarrassed him because his friends saw it and this was Kindergarden...:sad2: Now if this was Hannah different story I think.

Lexi-- sounds like you had a great night. I want to go back to bed too but it is because it is cloudy and rainy day again. I wish someone could find the sun for me.

Marita-- I am with you I can call out on my cell and answer it if it rings that is all. Wouldn't even know how to text.

Moo-- how is the toe this morning. Did you go to work or stay home?

Good point. I don't remember my EXACT syntax. I DO remember that my mom was mortified and I was stuck drinking water at dinner for a looong time.

Syntax. Mortified. Sheez. Now not only do i feel bad about the pantry of prepackaged snacks, fridge of soda, TV of sin and diner on wheels (the truck with heated seats) NOW I have to compete with BIG words like these.

You win. All of you. My kids are going to grow up to be illiterate, pizza eating, soda guzzling, sports watching losers. I guess the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree. (it would make more sense if my kids and I had ever seen one before)

Wheat Thins

MommyP, my DD calls that dark tan color mud brown, but I think I know what you meant by  :rolleyes1 But I have always liked it and there are lots of new houses that color around here. With dark green trim - it looks nice! That color sure would hide dust/dirt better than white. But when DH built his pole barn/man cave, we had white siding and black shingles put on it so that the house siding and new roof would be easy to match when we could afford it. And it WAS much easier to match. Didn't take long for us to reach that agreement either.

But that appliance allowance is pitiful! You can hardly get a decent fridge for that much :headache:

Is your hubby or boys able to feed Isaac the extra milk from a bottle? Babies will typically take bottles better from somebody other than their mommies.

Chad feeds him when he's here, but all day yesterday I had to. He looked at me like I was crazy when I tried to put a plastic nipple in his mouth. :lmao:

Just for the record, I would not show my niece and nephew the "Simpsons" DVD. My kids have not seen it. It was a joke. Although, we do let them watch things like "The Exorcist" just for kicks.

And yes, we drink juice boxes. Mostly, b/c I got tired of the redhead spilling the juice all over the table.

And we eat nonhealthy snacks at times. And sometimes we go to McDonalds and clog our arteries full of crap.

But I do balance it with healthy food the majority of the time.

I meant NO disrespect to my SIL. I even tease her about her "rigid" ways. And I love her dearly. I just think that when you are a kid, it's ok to have a little fun sometimes. It's odd to me that her kids find "juice" a treat. But that does not mean she is wrong, it is simply different here in the babynurse house. Juice is not a treat. Cookies are a treat.

Mcdonalds? :scared1: We prefer Burger King. ;)

We all know you were just teasing. You are by no means a bad mother because you let your kids eat, *gasp* handisnacks and watch tv. My kids however have to be with me 24/7 and for my own sanity they cannot have too much suger or tv. Or I'll end up in the loony bin.

I do get that one glorious week a year when they go to VBS. :rotfl:

But, beer? Really, shouldn't it be rum? :3dglasses
Mommy P-- I had to feed and pump when I had Hannah. Only difference is Hannah wasn't getting much from me so I also had to give her formula anyway. How long do you have to pump for?

I do like your colours too. Can't wait to see a picture of the final house. I am guessing you have no appliances that are yours. Hope you hit some real good sales and can get want you want.

I nurse him on one side and then pump the other, then I nurse him on the pumped side and then give him the bottle. He's taking it better now. But still won't take more than 2 ounces. The last 2 nights he's slept 4 hours! :woohoo: Not related to the bottle though because I don't do it in the middle of the night.

some breast milk is lacking the calories that some babys need....my friend breastfed her first two and then the third one was not gaining .......they said that even though she had breast milk it was not full of the good stuff.....calories to make the baby gain......

Was "they" a DR. or a lactation consultant. Because I kept asking her if it could be me, that my milk just wasn't enough and she said it wasn't that.
That he is just a slow gainer and bigger babies lose more than normal sized babies. Kaleb lost a lot more at first than the other did. I think my problems with him were due to poor drinking and a bad diet.

MommyP- I totally understand how you feel. I know lots of tricks from the feeding challenges of my cleft palate princess.... one is to try pumping and then feeding- then he will get the higher calorie hindmilk.

I will try that. I wondered though, if I pump first is there enough left for him to get enough?
Are you guys kidding me? MY kids think WATER is something that only comes comes out of the shower, is already in a swimming pool OR that you drink ONLY at a restaurant. (and not Chick Fil A either) As far as prepackaged snacks and the such. We buy the huge mombo jombo box of Gushers at Sam's Club. We also STILL have a huge tub of Halloween candy that is still fair game. In regard to TV habits, Nick and Disney are the ONLY channels my 24/7 brand spanken new Christmas TV is ever tuned to. (I DID put in a reservation for the SuperBowl) Somehow, someway they are still alive. Somehow, someway they are still good kids. Well, at least two of them are. Have a great day.

Wheat Thins (the ONLY semi-health snack we have in the house)

We can't all live off a lawyer's salary. Or any salary for that matter. :lmao:

Speaking of which Chad is scheduled for his CJBAT and we're waiting on the call to schedule his fitness screening. Then we can submit his application to the Sheriff's Department. :woohoo:

I have to finish feeding and then we're heading to Walmart. Tomorrow is Kaleb's 3rd Birthday and he needs presents.

Happy, glorious Friday, everyone!

No work for me today!! :woohoo:

Lexi, sorry about your less than stellar effect from last night!

The whole juice box/snack exchange was funny! I can't remember what my kids drank when the were little (or snacked on even). I know I rarely paced a lunch. I do remember some juice boxes being around.

Twinkie, hope the beurking gets better soon.

MommyP, YAY for Chad going for the Sheriff's dept!

A bum-laying day for me. I may or may not go out grocery shopping later, depending on my mood. Benefit of being an empty nester, you don't have to worry about feeding kids.

Oh, I wonder if Alle is done running yet?

Just wanted to share with you guys what I packed in my kids lunch this morning.

A bacon double cheeseburger. Actually I packed Caleb a triple, he has a big appetite even though he is skinny as a rail.

A can of Pringles.

A deep fried Snickers.

And a beer.

I thought the beer was a "tad" too much for my little guys since they are in elementary school, so I packed them a Red Bull energy drink instead.

Come on people. My post yesterday was a joke. I thought it was funny that her kids come to my house and I get to be cool aunt and pump them full of sugar and Coke and send them on their way. It's like they were at grandma's house.

Although we do buy juice boxes and my kids have the occasional handy snack even when it's NOT school time. AND they get to watch cartoons until I think their brains are sufficiently rotted and then I actually make them turn it off.

I do find it weird that her boys don't want to get dirty though. Isn't that why God made little boys? Where's the fun in that?

AND I have discussed all of the above with her. I love her. She loves me. We're a happy familiy. *cue the purple dinosaur*
I tell her to loosen up, she tells me to shape up. We're the perfect combo. Speaking of Combos, I think Julia took a bag to school with her today. ha.
So you're a TROLL now? Getting us all riled up? :rotfl2:

FYI- Pizza Combos and Pizza Pringals smell like vomit. This I know. Cheddar is beddar (better).

I heart you BabyNurse!

Check These Out! This post was stolen from the Peeps thread. The second one, Teeth, I've actually had this same nightmare a few times! I should sue!!! Which is subconsciously telling me something disturbing. :confused3

Something about a girl named Bella and guy named Edward.

See you when I'm done.

hello everyone..

For lunch I just had a half of a peanut butter sandwich with half of a banana....fifteen carbs for half of that banana and 11 carbs for that one slice of WHITE bread.....and I am eating a few of these new things....they are fish crackers but with added cheese......but only a few......for my beverage ..it is diet pepsi caffeine free.......yup zippo...

Now I have thawing for our evening pleasure......some deer steak that is cut like pepper steak.......that sounds good to me...with green peppers and onions .....delicious and then some cheese on that bun with maybe some sauteed mushrooms.....

Quick update re: the voicemail yesterday:

My son stopped in, so he figured it out for me. I had to set up a password and stuff.

Anyway, the message was from either Sandy or Allie, not sure. They were supposed to meet at 2pm at Wide World of Sports for registration. I originally thought I might be able to to to meet them, but then I could not.

Anyhow, the message at 5:05pm: We are still at WWoS, the lines are HUGE!

Allie should be done by now, Sandy is up for tomorrow.

I'd kill for some white bread about now.

The low carb thing IS working magically, though. I didn't have to Crisco my thighs to get my regular jeans on today. Two weeks ago I would have had to lay down on the bed and do the "1...2...3...ZIP!!!!" with these same jeans, so I'm feeling like a rock star today

Caffeine FREE diet pepsi? I should switch. "Should". It just has to be the whisper of cherry kind.

This is how slow I was -
My thoughts while reading:
How does she pack a double cheeseburger, much less a TRIPLE cheeseburger? Doesn't it get messy? Shouldn't it be refrigerated? Are they homemade? Wouldn't it be easier to buy one at McDonald's - it'd probably keep better too cuz of all the preservatives.
A small can of pringles - that's reasonable (they make individual servings in cans, ya know.)
Deep fried snickers!?!?! I've heard of deep fried twinkies, but not snickers. How does she have time to make those for her kid's lunch? Geez. She needs to babynurse more.
A beer?
OH! she was joking!!!!!
heh. I'm an idiot.

At age 4 you said "Isn't that for bathing?" Bathing? Wow. You sounded more sophisticated at 4 than most of the posters on this dump do today. Are you SURE you didn't say something like. "But Grandma, isn't that what you take a bath with?"

For once, WT, you summed up what I was thinking perfectly.

Syntax. Mortified. Sheez. Now not only do i feel bad about the pantry of prepackaged snacks, fridge of soda, TV of sin and diner on wheels (the truck with heated seats) NOW I have to compete with BIG words like these.

This made me laugh. Especially the bit about the apple. hehehe. You funny, Mr. B!

I nurse him on one side and then pump the other, then I nurse him on the pumped side and then give him the bottle. He's taking it better now. But still won't take more than 2 ounces. We can't all live off a lawyer's salary. Or any salary for that matter. :lmao:
Poor WT! First he gets to read in depth about breast feeding then you insult him for being NON bank account challenged. Hehehehehehe.
Stick it to him good! Serves him right for being a man AND a lawyer.

Whoo hoo. Now you go bill someone a kajillion dollars an hour and I will go wash the spit up out of my hair.

And that, my friends, is the ballgame. :worship:

I love you guys!
I'm having a bum laying day too.
cuz I drank too much last night.
ACK!

oh yeah - PS -
due to the drinking, we will NOT be weighing in today.
Send your crisco my way, WEndeeee!

Mony- W.T's does not have the same hormones...:rotfl: I just meant he sounded cranky this morning, even calling this place a dump.

Celery-- Your not working either.

Moo -- you should have taken today off, it seems everyone is off today.

UMA-- on the jeans. I don't think I will be going to see "Teeth" :scared1:

Is the weather good for their run/walk today Marita? We still haven't seen the sun in days. I wouldn't want to run in the rain either mind it that is much better then cold Sandy has been running in.

oh yeah - PS -
due to the drinking, we will NOT be weighing in today.
Send your crisco my way, WEndeeee!

OK, I'll just put you down for a gain of like 7 or 8 pounds ;) No problem.

GET on the scale! No free pass for you!
It'll just make next week look good. PLUS, you'll single handedly screw up my entire spread sheet.

:cool2:

Y'all: Be sure to watch "What Not To Wear" because I heard the DIS poster named "Philadisney" will be on tonight. GAH! I can just imagine the field day they'd have with my CROCS and mom-jeans. Most of my clothes are Disney related because it's the only time I buy new clothes. I refuse to buy any till I'm back in my 9/10's. I'll just use rope and belt my 16's.

Oh, carrying on with Cel's dating game theme:

I said to DS today:
I counted the girls accepted on the officers list. There were 11 out of 171!

He says, everyone I know has met someone. I just cant can't mess with underlings (meaning enlisted I suppose) :rotfl:

Ok, DS, 11 out of 171 is NOT a good ratio! Maybe he needs to apply for lots of kerfews and hit the clubs or POF ?:confused3
