Morning all,

MOO HOOOTY UMA!!!

That is a good way to start the day.

Kids have the day off so I got to sleep in, well sort of. They kept coming in asking for things usually they don't. It must be the sun shining outside that wants them to get out and moving. Now if they had to go to school it would be a different story....

UMA-- you are getting snow already...:scared1: They call for beautiful summer like weather here this weekend.

Moo -- Love the pictures. Nicholas was posing like Jack, I remember that he did it in every picture at Chef Mickey's.

Way to swoop Utah!

Quit hogging the motiviation MP. I am still in my jammies. :sad2:

morning y'all.

tammy stayed at work all night last night. :(

and she's still not done.

I've got lots of work to do today - so y'all post lots so they'll be stuff for me to read when I take a break.

I'm sending you some motivation, Twinkie. :wizard:

I've finished my bills. Made money appear from space to cover them :3dglasses and I've revacuumed because although I heard it going for quite some time, I can't see any vacuum lines. :confused3 All that's left is mopping and my house is officially clean. I could still do other things, like dust and clean my sheets. But it takes way too much energy to take the sheets off our bed. I don't know what I was thinking when I picked out furniture with a footboard.

My grocery list is made too. With a grand total of $66. :rotfl: That is where the money came to cover bills. Last weeks check and this weeks check just didn't cover it.

Thank googness for 39 cents per pound chicken thigh/leg quarters last week. Plus the pack of breasts that they had marked as 39 cent per pound chicken leg/thigh quarters. That and hotdogs for less than $1. :cool1:

I'm off to switch over laundry and mop. Actually I might save the mopping for after we get home from the store this afternoon.

I need to go and check on Kaleb. He's at the bar playing with playdoh.

morning all......still trying to figure out how to type with a thumb in a VICE.....hahaha....I hurt my thumb a few weeks ago.....and it doesnt hurt to much during the day time but if I am asleep and try to pick the covers up to cover me it KILLS.....it is in the middle of the area that goes to the pointer finger near the palm part......does anyone know what is going on......I didnt think I broke it but it sure does KILL......

Granddaughter called from college and told me she got another freebie grant.....for academics something or other.....hey its a little for this semester and alot more for next.....what awesome news.....she will be home for supper tonight.......

I just stripped down the curtains to wash and put up the darker colored ones for winter time.......and fixed up the bed....last night I forgot to put the comforter back on the bed....so hubby puts on the GOOD comforter to sleep on.......I said I THINK NOT.......and Megara was on that too.....I THINK NOT DANG DOG.......so got him and her out of the bed and put the bed back together with the washed items........geesh......I forget one little thing and all of it goes to the dogs.....hahaha.

okey need to test and then eat.....starting to shake rattle and roll......oh wait.dont want to roll....need FOOD....see ya later gators

Pumba -- you mean you change your bedroom curtains or all your of them. I never heard of this before. I know some change curtains for Christmas and such in bathrooms.

Sounds like too much work to me.

Mommy P-- we have a footboard too had it is a pain to make the bed. Worse is the kids beds up against the wall...there rooms are too small to put the beds in the middle.

I just spent $65 for 5 days worth of groceries! It can be done. I still need laundry detergent and dog food, though. Thankfully we had meat in the freezer and plenty of pasta and pasta sauce. I kind of enjoy spending time making things from scratch like bread or pizza crusts and budget casseroles.

See, no daycare for the past 2 weeks equals no $$$. :guilty: Things are picking up because I'm starting to get phone calls from mamas needing child care. I LIKE being picky on who I tend. It really makes a difference in my over all day to day happiness. So, I'm giving myself a nice raise and am replacing Pooh Girl finally.

Nab- I not only change everything to Halloween, but after Halloween, my home is deemed "Autumn" THEN, the day after Thanksgiving, it becomes a winter/Christmas....hahahaha! I guess I'm bored easily? This includes curtain and linen changes....I know, I know.

/
I am to weighing the options and who comes to my house too.....I can still have the kids that come during school breaks and snowdays.....but I had to decide if I wanted to add any newbies to my house.....hubby keeps saying NO...and I say well maybe.....I have had plenty of calls for new babies .....I like to be able to take the older kids outside and play and a new baby would be hard in the winter time too....so will think again what I do want to do with the last few years of my tender young age.....hahahaha....

I had pretty curtains in the bathroom and kitchen that need to come down....they are more summer looking.............and I put up the colder colors.....like in the bathroom I will put the hunter green stuff......have towels that will match that too.....well I always put up a set that NO ONE USES.....and then hand towels for people to wipe their hands on and hubby and my bath towels.......I even have a set of tower of terror towels.......those are someplace ....now where did I put those....

I only put a few things inside for Halloween. Mostly outside.

Well hubby surprised me and came home early which means we get to leave today instead of tomorrow for my Mom's.

Turkey, pumpkin pie, cheesecake.....oh my:cloud9:

Be back on Monday!!!

If any one is Canadian that lurks..."HAPPY THANKSGIVING"

I am thankful for my family and my friends!!!!!!!!!!!!
And a lot more......

I only have curtains in my bedroom.
everywhere else is just blinds.

but the ccurtains in my bedroom more than make up for it -
they're navy blue satin with a valance/scarf I made out of a sheer material with silver stars and moons on it.
with fancy schmancy holders at the corner.

it's very over the top girly for me. but I love it! :cutie:

plus it keeps the bedroom dark for naps or sleeping in.

utah - I'm soooo glad you got rid of pooh girl and can have new kiddos. and money!

pumba - you are so thin to have diabetes so bad. my friend pat is the same way. she's TINY, but was diagnosed a year or so ago when she turned 60.

nab - get cracking on your curtains! ha. or some more needlepoint.

mommyp - you clean so gosh durn much! I think I'd be able to eat off the floors at your house.
well, maybe not cuz I'm a germaphobe, but pretty close.

twinks - mommyp is weird. do not let her intimidate you.
or crazy OCD utah woman who sews like a mad woman.

although some people on the sewing thread are worse than her.
one of them took their sewing machine to WDW with them!

I am laughing celery......I dont have curtains in my double living rooms......hubby made the wood to match the rest of the oak in this place ....so I like to be able to see just wood....
I am small but not thin......I have to lose ten more pounds to be where I am supposed to be for my Body mass index or whatever they call it..I gained the ten pounds in one year so the diabetes educator said TEN POUNDS.....I dont have diabetes bad........I have Diabetes.....I am trying to control it with diet and excercise......then I wont have to take meds for it........well at least for now....My family background is where I got the dreaded threesome........high bp, high cholesterol, and now the diabetes....I could not believe that I had these problems....I tried to eat right.....I sort of walked alot......and didnt eat fast foods .......BUT I am a big pasta lover....so now I can only have one cup of that.....so I do it once a month and make a big pot of spaghetti and meatballs or sausages, or chicken......then I pig out once and then get on with it....
Hope you all have a good weekend

Hiya MOOvers!

Happy Thanksgiving, NAB!!!! Enjoy your holiday! Thanksgiving is one my second fave holiday! All the food and family interaction you could ask for, and none of the worry about gifts and wrapping and such! Perfect!

Hi MommyP....sounds like you got lots done already today. Now take a (pregnant) pause and put your feet up for a bit. :thumbsup2

Hi Utah! My DH teases me mercilessly about switching the curtains, bed linens, towels, etc., to suit the season/holiday. I do it anyway. Martha Stewart wannabes unite!

Hi Pumba, Lex, Celery and Twinkie! Anybody got any goog plans for this weekend?

plans for the weekend:

get my car emissions tested
do all the laundry from the trip
write a paper
read three chapters in one course
answer three posts in the other course
take Riley to get his rabies vaccination
bathe the dogs
clean the house
clean martini's cage
fight with tammy. cuz she's still at work. yes, that's a full 31 hours she has been at work. and she's still not done.
clean the car
pack for my trip next week
maybe go to a friend's birthday party
not volunteer at church on saturday
feel guilty about not volunteering
go to church on sunday for the early service and stay for the second service to watch the nursery.

Celery???? Not serving at church, huh?

That just might make the baby Jesus cry....

Which reminds me of Taladega Nights...."Dear 8 pound 6 ounce baby Jesus" That prayer is the only REALLY funny part of the movie.

Heheh!

Sounds like you'll be bu-sy!

My plans are to finish setting up the Grave yard (???? what????) in my front flower bed. Add lighting, and black lights, and strobe lights.

Have some serious ME time. Laying on my bum and doing NOTHING for a short time. Awwwwww. Yes, that sounds lovely.

Cel, got any downtime scheduled in there? Sheesh! Slow down, girl!

Utah, the bum-laying does sound lovely. Think I'll try to get some of that done too.

I get to go visit my grandma (her 89th b-day was Monday), and my new niece, who was born yesterday (DH's "baby" brother is now a dad...aaawwwww!), plus there's a huge local fair that we attend every year...that ends Monday, so we're going to schedule that for our Columbus Day activity.

I'll probably continue my futile efforts to get caught up on laundry too. Ick.

Anyone else got sumthin cool planned?

Granddaughter is home for the long weekend and also Tuesday.....she goes to college ......she will come and visit us too.....
Then absolutely NOTHING.......nope ....nada......nothing to do but ...wait....I have to do the rest of the curtains and clean up the kitchen......maybe make another apple pie....
I was good today eating.....have to make my bs numbers go down again.....eating as much as I was these past three weeks is NOT RIGHT......
I have a little to do......would like to go back to the apple orchard and get another bushel of apples.......and some ....no no no...cant do donuts at the apple store....nope ....dont go send hubby:rotfl:

Hi everyone

Well, got all my deadlines met this week on time (whew) and just got an email from work saying that things are going to change over the weekend, so refresh all reports at 10 am on Monday and resubmit everything we did by noon Monday:scared1: Which in itself would not be bad, but we have to do explanations, so I have to do backup range valued copies of reports tomorrow so I can trace what has changed. Bummer!

Uma, Mooo Hooty on swooping 7000!h
My weekend plan includes laying around on my bum a lot too. Sunday I have to go to a shower for a niece. DH said the other day that my SIL called to see if I would come to the shower for Brooke. Sure! Then later he asked if I wanted to get the baby gift or should he (he knows I hate shopping).
I said BABY shower? I thought it was a Bridal shower. Silly me!!!!!!!!!!!
He got a lovely bouncy baby seat thing from the registration list and even got wrapping paper!

Actually, this is a grand niece. Is that a word? Niece once removed??? :confused3

.

So when you go on vacation do you always have to find new kids?

Whats the going rate over there if you don't mind me asking? Do you have to be licensed?

Mine just got renewed. I passed my inspections with 100% compliance.:yay:

It is 7:40pm, raining really hard and it is dark outside. Just heard thunder rumble, too. So glad to be home and have my DD home too.

Oops, strike that last sentence, I just said to her "aren't you glad you are not in that?"
She said that she is going to be in that, she has plans! So it better stop soon!

Yes Marita- it is a grandneice. Have fun at the shower!

No exciting weekend plans here. We never have exciting weekend plans.

However DH came home at 6 and all the kids played outside.... it is amazing how much I can get done in an hour in an empty house!

Pumba- please send apple pie!
