;Dear Chair-yl, you can not confuse us. We know your name is pronounced "moo". Duh.
Exactly right, Twink!

I am only Chair-yl/Cheryl when I am hanging out with Cheryl from Florida! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I am a bit under the weather this morning and not going into work until noonish. I had a tetanus/pertussis (whooping cough) shot last Thursday and have felt fatigued since the weekend. I think it might be a side effect from the shot. So I am resting a bit longer before heading to work.

3,000 MOO HOOTY, MommyP!!!

MommyP....I think meatloaf if better if you make it the day before and let it sit in the fridge overnight. It sort of marinates the meat I guess. I'm sure freezing ahead has the same affect. Yes....on the catheter. I only had an epi with my first one. It was not administered til I was about 9cm and I was NOT numb for the episiotemy or the catheterization. OUCH! I did not have any subsiquent epidurals. DH said he almost passed out watching the first one. :confused3

MOO-WOOTY on the big 3K!!! :flower3:

Twinkie....Is your name Cathy? Was that you that passed out next to me when the teacher pricked my finger in 9th grade biology? I may know who you are after all!

MOO! I will not be calling you Moo in person! OK?! Chair-yl it is.

Luthor - My DH almost passed out with our first when my midwife gave me the episiotemy. He denys it to this day. But all the attention turned to him even though the baby was crowning. Even my midwife was like, "Chad? Are you okay? You need to sit down?" LOL! He's been fine with all things childbirth since then. Even the ripping, which could be heard, with the 9lber didn't phase him. I do not think he would be able to be on the same floor of the hospital if I ever got an epidural. He can't even stand to get a shot. lol.

It's oko, I don't really need to know. I actually hate math. It doesn't agree with me. I wonder if my sisters were encouraged to be left handed and I was encouraged to be right handed because I've always been "special." My sisters also have cute matchy names and I'm just Lauren. I don't really fit into that family....

 Are you the middle child, sweetie?

 Are you the middle child, sweetie?

yes, she is. BUT she got 4 names and her sisters only have 3. p.s. One of her names may or may not be very similar, ok the same as, mine. This does indeed make her "special"

I am enjoying the birth stories, of course. Especially since yesterday was my very own give birth day. There's not lots to report on his birth. It went by pretty quick and he was born safely. He did have a true knot in his umbilical cord, meaning he sure was a bouncy little gymnast before he ran out of room in-utero. And while that could have been potentially dangerous, it all turned out a-ok.

Have a great day y'all.

Mommy P-- you could here the ripping sound....

Moo -- why did you have to get a whooping cough shot? Hope you feel better now.

I got my darn headache back again today. Not as bad as last night but it is building. That is three days in a row.

Costco was crazy...like usually. We bought sandwich bags, kleenex, lunch meat, Yop yogrut, individual peaches( for snack time), cheese slices and apurple snow suit for Hannah. Not bad it could have been worse.

Hi Lexi, Babynurse and P.J. :wave2:

:goodvibes ...you guys with your "women talk"...........,

not in a million years...would've thought i be joining in......its been some
30 years...and i am a tad bit rusty..... , you know, aging
sorta have that effect?

.........i am very depress...in our sunday paper...ran a story about the
death rates.." rate of u.s. women dying in childbirth on the rise."....

a father 's cry: [lost wife in 2000]---"the hardest thing to understand is
how in this day and age, in a modern hospital with doctors and nurses,
that somebody can just die like that" --

ok?..i can't /won't comment directly...due to legal stuff....but this is
exactly why i shared "our" horror stories...at the very least..our middle
son..would /should have been killed or severely brain damamge...without
the.....my wonderful lil'miss..preforming the biggest miracle..i 've ever
witnessed! , remember.....i was involved in alot of ob experiences..
& alot of lil' miracles. [ every word i rote...were not only reality...but
does not do it justice..there are no words that can captured all she did.
* my wife can drive me nuts on occasions-:rolleyes1 , but her sarfices
toward "protecting" our children.,.."holds me dearly in my vows".

* i know this wil be hard to believe..but back some 20 years ago..we
had a very attractive rec. therapist..& for whatever , she was enthralled
with "me"...ironic, all the rest of teh guys were trying...like the devil.
as for my intnentions..not for one second...as i already had the best ,
they called it the bargain..best there ever seen- [the who's album]

..my experiences., like everyone else..has molded me into the person iam
today..for better or worst.....i am very  with the results..& no
regrets...passing what others were desiring..for all the wrong reasons.
..now, today..my reflections illustratethe old fashioned values...as
i can now appricate the things i used to take for granted....

dear lux girl...ha!...baby wt, can be soooo misleading......8plbs can be
premature..& hyaline [sp]- membranes..not matured...can/will die
without critical life support.... * my sister's last baby was on respirator
for 2 weeks...and was 8 lbs....they screwed up his due date.

...yes, i can understand..the trepidation..regading ..ob procedures...

:thumbsup2 ..for your husband, mp,..well, tell him..alot of doctors faint
the first time around....speakin of.....i hope it is realized some day...that
alot of nurses...without their "doctoring" skills.....good doctors would never
be!... iam just a rn, however, -* remember?????- * i cannot stressed
enough.....for all the miracles i help /been a part of..were "gifts" passed
onto me..by some unbelievable nurses..they are no longer with us-

* warning..blood/guts sction--twinkle, :flower3:

needles...pj- girl... big?...have you ever seen an animo??? :scared1:

my por lil'miss cutie- , that day....thank god, we researched and
went for the best..we could find..."he missed! , hit the plancentra
[sp.-remmber i am no speller]....his needle, about 30" long..fill with blood-

:scared1: , * this is where "critical knowledge" paid off.....instead of
pulling out...he waited..so the clotting could kick in....sometimes, seconds
can/will mean the difference between life and death. "i told him- you!,
better not lose that anomtic fluids!~ he laughed--"in 20 years- never!"

ha!,..years later..my wife, who was afraid...to tell me, "the lab, did exactly
that!!!..they lost it!!!!!! * so you know, this dr. was one on the tops in
all the field..in this highly complicated field...from what i heard.....he
blew..all over....... , and got everyone involved fired....!!!! * this
was life and death....

....the article does not address what "insiders know"....carless/uncaring/
unprofessionals, untrained......"effects". you have no idea.....how much
is covered up....however, those with workable knowledge / commmon sense
can "see" these "mistakes...sometimes..its adminastors...making $$$$$.

..i get so upset..we're talking people well being..human beings!:sad1:

..why? so many are allowed?..its a number game.....based on real life
shortages..and finding dedication in the caregivers....who posses the
skills of knowledge..but applications...& due processing. * common sense
is so critical...as there is no body process/functioning that cannot be
explained where one having even below basic iq , can understand.
[ evereything i do..is based on my medical knowledge..that is in the
person best interest...*by their preceptions. meaning, iam obligated,
not to do things that is harmful to health needs.

..the good news....if what they rpeorted is accurate...the corrective
measures..are not only self evident..but quite simple to resolved with
some additional measures aimed at preventing the causes of death.
...iam depress....reading this..cos its shaeful...we're going backwards.
:sad2: ..however, i knew/ecpected these rsults..when our life expectancy
dropped below to 46?????

...now iam old, and very, very rusty....like 30years ago..but c'mom ..
i stil can process what they are reporting......"excessive bleeding, infections,
and clots....with bleeding leading the way? you know? ..my job was
mostly taking care of life supports for the newborns....* we gave vit k
injections to reduce their bleeding from going thru labor...why not
mothers? why sin't pt/ptt being monitor before they are in the delivery
room...surgery---? * you know ..ther a very good medical reason
for plopping the baby on top of the mother's belly? "the baby helps,
the mother's uterus contract..so does "nursing" before scooting the
lil'one to the nursey...

bear in mind..i am only summazing...but..once we "id" problem areas..
there is no excuse not to take corrective actions...none!

* we had an idiot rn..that was no good for nothing...forcing me, into
a very dedicated position.....again..think about it.. your husband
should not be the one between your legs at the time of birth...inside
the hospital..that we paid big bucks..for what??? nor can i ever expressed
the miraclew..my lil'miss pull out..that day...:flower3:

iam very alarm..of this awful trend..."we-us"..needs to see these problems
are addressed and corrective/support measures are done...all the legal
actions in the world..can't give that lil'boy his mother..and thats a shame.
:scared:

..oh, in reality...healthy babies..are indeeds "our" future..and
so are the family values, we chose to share.

dear c~ girl, :thumbsup2 ..so now you know what all the guys
hanging back in the bushes...:lmao:

guys..want to hear about abuse..adminstors/drs..documented
false dx... so they can "stick" elderlt/nursing home -confuse pts.
onto an acute psych ward...think about it? :sad2:

and there isn't any excuse..the big $$$ adminastors are making
off families..and so forth, it is sickening! :coffee:

He did have a true knot in his umbilical cord, meaning he sure was a bouncy little gymnast before he ran out of room in-utero.

but I read
He did have a true knot in his umbilical cord, meaning he sure was a bouncy little gymnast before he ran out of the room post in-utero.

So I am picturing the little redheaded Trollop being born, looking around and saying " I am outa here!"
and dashing off kind of like the gingerbread man.

I bet he would have too, had he thought of it. He sounds like my kind of kid.

ps- thanks Lil G for our code :flower3:

I totally agree. Watching all those shows on TV with women having babies and the nurses cart them off to be cleaned. I always tell them they can wait. I'll keep my baby with me until I am all cleaned up. They also give me pit right before delivery so I contract good afterwards just to be safe. Even though I've never had any real bleeding problems. Women should not die in childbirth these days! Too many DR's just can't be bothered I think. It's very sad.

MOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok go is playing!
it makes me think of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi lil g!

I haven't been on here in ages, and what do I stumble onto? Another one of those Pain and Baby threads. Ohhhhh Nooooooo I feel rather faint and may have to lay down before posting more. . . . ;)

In the meantime, before I pass out:

MOOOOOO HOOOOOOOTY MOMMYP!!!!

Hi Kay!!!!!!!!!!!!! We thought you'd forgotten about us!

What have you been up to?

HI SIS KAY, I missed you!!!!!!!!!!

Where have you been? How are you? How is Lowell?

MOOHOOTY to 3,000 MP!

And yes, I got up today at the ungodly hour of 8am made it to work by 9:30 (an hour early), but my DD did yell at me after all to get up
I am going to try make it a repeat tomorrow.......... wish me luck! But I think my work is pretty much done, just trying to go in to support the boss if he needs anything.

Did anyone warn WT not to read today's posts?

How have I been? Well I have good news and bad news. The good news is I have more time to spend on the DIS. The bad news is that as of yesterday I have no job. :scared1:

KAY!!! It is goog to see you again. What happened with your job?!

Nab, my nurse practitioner said that there has been an increased incidence of whooping cough, so they are bundling it with tetanus so people get a booster. I am wondering what part of the shot is making me feel carpy or if I have had something else going on.

Hope your headaches go away. I think a front moved through this morning - I could feel a bit of sinus pressure in my head.

Cel, which OK Go song was it? I am listening to Harry Potter Book 7 on the way to and from work, so I haven't listened to my OK Go CDs lately.

But I did hear a commercial with their music this past week :thumbsup2

aloha kids.

boy do I wish I was still at the Polynesian !

Been really busy with the girls and school. Plus my mom had some lesions removed on Monday and the doctor just called and said both are cancerous and she needs to have more removed. So, we have to set that up on Friday when I take her to have the stitches removed. I have been waiting to see if she was okay before making up my therapy appointments and now therapy will have to wait. And we still have to see what's up with her leg and hip.

Soooo that's the stinky news from Delaware, oh and my team lost to my husband's team! I hate the Steelers.

Haven't had time to read back and I hope everyone is okay and getting hyped for the upcoming trip.

Nab- glad you are back- Hope the kids were surprised!

Hope you are chatting later- I'll check back after my husband goes to work.

kay - Oh no!!!! that is not good!

moo - here we go here we go here we go again.
umm.

hehehehehehe

marita - I'm so proud of you for getting up early! it's good practice for your vacation. hehehe. ;)

poly - sorry we have to come back from the wonderfu world of disney.

by the way - what in the world is whooping cough anyway? It's always confused me.
I read this book called ballet shoes about three sisters who got it and had to go to the country to recover -
the way they described it made it sound like explosive diarhea.
I don't get it.
anyway, it's a really good book. about other things besides whooping cough.

hi nabbers!!!!!

SIS, Oh NO!!!!!!!!!!! Not GOOG news!

Hope something comes up for you soon.

I can always give you a referral for Disney!
