I have to put a plug in for this new show on A&E again tonight at 10, Confessions of a Matchmaker. Very amusing. The whole family plus a friend watched TIVO versions today.

They had this one guy on, very handsome Italian type, 41, who was a virgin. His date was a disaster. So Matchmaker asked him if he was up for a casual date with a man. And he that he'd try that. The kids (they are in 20's dont flame me) kept yelling, he is sooo gay! Anyway, fun show.

Lil G....I just loved your post. There's a line from one of the Harry Potter movies where Dumbledore says something like "It's not our skills that show the world who we are....it is our choices." And I think that's so true. You can choose to be negative or you can choose the opposite and make everyone happy including yourself. Glad you got your props at work too. You deserve it!!

..not only do i have no talents...but iam a terrible

true story...i used to work icu for like 8years...well, not only u can imagined
my spellin...but my hand writing was even worst...finally with the computer,
people were able to read my "notes"..wow, ..they were soo
impressive...what?!.. ..i 've been writing them for years...& here
no one was understanding....what i was doing?...

this i know...as sure there is death..there is a living, loving God! the more
i learn, the more i know...oh, my..there's no idea..how magical, but
misuderstood ...this power source is....."feel ..your head"..within that
tiny space, lies ther most advance system for thinking, ever invented ..
but!...not #1. the "catch"?...man gets all excited..with his tiny discoveries,
that he spend way to much time "blowing " up his ego...that he completely
miss the big pic..heck a doodle...he dosen't even "get" what he is looking
at!...science does not decides what is workable...nor does it determines
the events, we call our history..why?..for it is under a greater power
that can/does manipulates-it anytime....all iam hinting at.. mankind is
a "mistake in progress"...and true reality ..is out of our control....wow,
we are not near as smart as we think we are.....in our principles and the
ways things work...again feel yor head..there are limitations..for us.
however, there is an energy source under one source...[ well defined by
a set of boundaries beyond our greatest imaginations]...who is directing
the our ways of being.... ..the thing is..we may have to the
potential to hink smarter..but also he choice to ..act stupid...* iam very
big on things that makes sense..as iam plain and simple..its amazes me
how lil'things can work so well....

utahm...ha!, smarter..you know you have things right..and none of you
need me...to pont out how well you 're living life...but it was exciting,
see a young person bent on being mental ill...and all i used were words..
of comon sense...& it tore apart all the foolishness he had been building
up!...

Gee, at the time you wrote this before leaving for work, I was cleaning up to come home. These early weekends are so fun.
Actually, no bosses, no office staff, it's kinda nice. Then a normal shift tomorrow and 3 days of freedom.
Lil G, goog to have you back. I was starting to feel like the only rooster at a hen party, and all they wanted to talk about was eggs. j/k, I can take that talk.

Well the meeting with the builder went as I expected. Horrible. I knew better than to get very excited about this. Because of our lender being a government run program for lower income families there are a lot of hoops. And since this guy isn't like an actual owner of a company, he just works for one and has a contractors license, he was going to be using his own personal money to get us from draw to draw and since our lender only gives a percent of each draw he would be very much in the hole until the house was complete. So we will have to go through the company he works for, which of course means higher prices. He is going to give us a price this week. Which is supposed to be between 135,000 and 140,000. Which is a lot more than the $115,000 we were willing to finance. So it will depend on what that will make our payments now and when they baby comes(they'll go down due to getting more subsidy) and if we can afford it. It would be so easy if we actually brought home what we make. But $100 a week is taken out for insurance and I am sure than even when work really picks up for long the boss isn't going to give us back that benefit. So we are back to waiting again. And really needing that county money for closing costs and more. So we are praying that it takes a while to get our loan approved and then if we go forward that things will take a LONG time in permitting. (which of course is going really fast now that construction has slowed so much) A friend from church works in permitting so we'll tell him if he sees our stuff to keep moving it to the bottom of the pile.

Tomorrow my sister and her 6 kids are coming over. She is making the boys birthday cakes(their party is tomorrow) and I am supposed to help her decorate. Ha. Yeah right. Not my thing. I'll wash dishes and feed them.

So Chad's helped me prepare things for tomorrow. We're having bagel sandwiches and pasta salad for dinner and I made egg salad for lunch and tea AND I baked 2 banana breads. I should sleep well tonight!

I should have worked today, but I didn't. I will feel sooooooooo guilty tomorrow. But the heck with it. Disney will not give up the ghost if I dont have my tiny part done.
And here is the really cool part! I am now 55, eligable for partial retirement!
So if I get fed up with it all, I can just tell them:

"TAKE THIS JOB AND SHOVE IT, I AIN'T WORKING HERE NO MORE......!"

And then I can go to Walmart 3 days a week and say, "Would you like a shopping cart???"

Amanda, being a stay at home mom sounds fantastic to me right now! Honestly! (especially since my kids are grown). I really admire you for homeschooling your kids too, that has to be hard.
